A Gnani is one who is fully aware of the fact that, the birth, life and death are mere illusion

The good and evil is part of the falsehood (duality); pure and impure is part of the falsehood (duality). No one can purify another because the duality is itself is impure and duality is created, sustained and finally dissolves as purity, which is the soul or spirit.

When one starts exploring the mystery of the self, he is still mired in habituated patterns. Limited in perception to a world projected by these patterns, he does not and cannot see things as they are because his understanding is based on the false self(waking entity or ego), whereas the truth is based on the formless soul, the innermost self.

The soul   is the subject, and mind is an object. When the understanding is based on the object as subject the realizing the truth is impossibility.  Object is unreal created out of the formless subject, which is real.

Mind means ignorance. Overcoming the ignorance through wisdom is the aim of the truth seeker.    The Gnani is the one who is fully aware of “What is truth?” and “What is untruth?” in the midst of experience of diversity/illusion.

Gnani is fully aware of the fact that the birth, life and death are mere illusion and views all the pain and pleasure of the life as mere illusion.

The waking rise and man and his experience of the world comes into existence and dissolves into nothing in deep sleep.  To the Gnani there is no world, no body, and no ego because the mind is mere mirage for Gnani.

There is nothing as sacred of Self-Knowledge. Realization of self-drives way the ignorance. Self-Awareness frees ‘Self’ from the burden and bondage of illusory duality.  It is the self that is in illusion. When it becomes aware of its true nature than  the universe is mere mirage to the self which is formless and non-dual in its nature. Thus the thoughts and words are part of the illusory existence.

Many spiritual masters say that sticking to "I am" is way out from the physical shackles. But that "I am" itself is creates the prison. The one, which expresses itself as 'I', is not 'I' but it is formless consciousness. Therefore the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ is not the self. Considering the ‘I’ or ‘I AM as self is erroneous.  The self, which is in the form of consciousness   cannot be called anything nor approached because it is prior to anything that exists. When the consciousness is the substance of the whole universe  and its contents thoughts and words  and it is not a thing or entity or identity within the physical existence but it pervades the whole physical existence than it is erroneous to limit the ‘I’ to the physical entity alone.

The existence of the soul, which is the true self has to be, has to be grasped and assimilated.' I or 'I' am is mere expression.

The whole physical existence or universe is an expression. Thus physical existence or universe is mere illusion. The man and his experience of the world and his belief of god are within the illusory expression.  The diversity is created out of single substance and knowing that single substance brings unity in diversity in consciousness.

Thus experience of duality is mere illusion. That is mind is an illusion. The one that has this illusion is the consciousness, which is the innermost self.

Therefore it is erroneous to seek truth on the base of 'I' because 'I' is not self. It very much necessary to rectify the seeking base by proper understanding  of the fact that ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ is not the  self before indulging in the pursuit of truth.

As long as a person has a firm conviction that 'I' is self, he will not be able to understand ,assimilate and realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic  truth, Because whatever knowledge one assimilate he assimilates as a person, which adds to his existing accumulated information. Therefore, seeker has to discover the fact that 'I' is not the self but 'I' is the whole universe, which appears in the form of mind. Universe is mere mirage.  The duality is experienced only when the universe is present. Thus universe is duality. Consciousness is formless substance and witness of the universe.   Thus consciousness is the true self and cause of the universe but it itself is uncaused because no second thing exist other than it.

It is necessary to have firm conviction 'I' is not self but the formless consciousness is the true self. To understand, assimilate and realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic  truth.

Mind ceases to exit without form, time and space

The Moksha is freedom. Freedom is becoming free from experiencing the illusion or duality as reality by realizing the fact that, the self is not the form but self is formless.  The individual self or ego is the reality within the false experience.  Thus all the knowledge accumulated by judging on the base of the false self(waking entity or ego), is false knowledge.

People believe in old myths propagated by their religion. Every religion has propagated its own myth. Every religious belief contradicts other beliefs. It is the mere blind belief accepted as truth without verification and evidence.  This causes division. Modern science has exposed many Religious dogmas as myth. All these dogmas were introduced in the primitive era   before people had the benefit of modern science. Science attempts to objectively discover how life works, and religion makes one blindly believe and cast his  burden on the blind belief without verification,  to live in peace and harmony in worldly life.

Seekers main aim is to investigate both dual (waking or dream)  and non-dual(deep sleep) experiences to find and define the underlying truth in everything, thereby realizing what the ultimate truth is.  Because of so many beliefs propagated by a belief system, people think seekers of truth are   atheists because they do not accept the belief blindly. Seekers of truth believe the religionist and atheists both are believers because religionist believe in the belief of god and atheists believe in belief of no god.

Pursuit of truth is all about accepting uncertainty and open questions and seeking for the things that are certainty. Believers and nonbelievers   will not accept anything other than their inherited belief system or accepted truth.  Atheists feel there is no proof for god’s existence. So the atheist chooses to just believe there is no such thing called God. And religionists just believe in the existence of their conceptual god.  A Gnani is one who is fully aware of the fact that, the existence or non-existence of God cannot be proven on the base of the physical self.  Therefore deeper understanding is necessary to understand and assimilate the truth about Gods existence to know what is supposed to be the God.

The seeker has to investigate through deeper self-search:-

v  What is the cause of this experience of duality?

v  Is it the soul, which is present in the form of consciousness  is the Supreme Reality?

v  Why man and his experience of the world exist only in waking or dream?

v  Why man is unaware of the fact that, the experience of  birth, life and death takes place in waking experience.

v  Where shall man at last find rest? What makes one bound by the experience of birth, life, death and the world  and its opposite?

The Form, Time and Space ceases to exist without the mind. The mind ceases to exit without form, time and space. The  Form, time and space exits only in waking or dream.  The  form, time and space are absent in deep sleep. the mind is present only in waking or dream and mind is absent without the waking or dream.

The individual and his experience of the world are within the waking or dream. The one that witnesses the three states which comes and goes in succession is not the waking entitybut the formless soul, the innermost self.

The self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but it is the formless soul, the innermost self . the soul, the innermost self is the  knower of all the three states.

The Self is one. Ever still, the Self is though motionless, it  outruns all pursuit. Without the Self, never could the experience of diversity exist.

The Gnani sees the truth within the three states but without the three states. A Gnani is full aware of the fact that the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is   the ultimate Reality or Brahman. The soul or consciousness  the self-luminous all pervading, which dwells as the self-conscious power in everything and everywhere in the three states. It is one without a second. Deep within everything and everywhere it dwells in the three states, hidden as their formless substance and witness. It presides over time, space, and all apparent causes.

Like water in snow, butter in cream, water in the river-bed, fire in the tinder, the Self dwells within the three states. Seeker has to Realise it through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning.

Like butter in cream is the consciousness in everything. Knowledge of the Self is gained through soul-centric reasoning. The soul, the innermost self is Supreme Reality. Through true Self-Knowledge  or Bram ha Gnana or Atma Gnana,  all  the ignorance  is destroyed.

Fire, though present in the firestick, is not perceived until one stick is rubbed against another. The Self is like that fire; it is realized through soul-centric  reasoning.

He who is realized by transcending the experience of duality, in deep contemplation, becomes aware of the fact that ,  the soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the  real self. The soul, which is present in the form consciousness  is the formless substance and witness of the three states. The formless witness  is real and all the three states  are a mere mirage. The soul, the innermost self  is the imperishable.

The Gnani know the self to be the soul   as the one reality behind all that seems. For this reason they are devoted to it. Absorbed in it and  they attain freedom from  experiencing the illusory cycle of birth, life, death as reality.

The three states  are perishable. The Self, the destroyer of ignorance, is imperishable, immortal. It is the one reality. By constant reflecting on the nature of the soul, the innermost self and  by identifying the soul as the self, one  overcomes the ignorance. The ignorance is cause of experiencing the duality as reality. the duality is cause of experiencing the form, time and space as reality. the form, time and space is cause of experiencing the birth, life, death and the world as reality.

The seeker has to know the truth to overcome the ignorance. when  wisdom dawns the ignorance  vanishes.  the experience of the birth, life, death, world  and rebirth will become part of the mirage. The seeker has to reflect on the soul, the innermost   self and transcend the physical awareness. In non-dual self-awareness  one  will be one with the universal identity, which is ever formless. The  seeker of truth must know this.  There is nothing further is there to know.  The seeker has to indulge in deeper self-search to realize that mind is mere mirage and formless substance and witness of the mind is real and eternal. the formless substance and witness of the mind or universe are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. The consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman.

Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the right tool to unfold the mystery of the mind, which is present in the form of the universe.

The seeker need to turn to the perennial springs of spiritual truth, to quench his spiritual thirst.

Self-Knowledge  or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the means to emancipation from the illusory experience of birth, life, death and the world. The seekers have to invalidate the illusory nature of the experience of the  birth, life, death  and the world and defend them through the knowledge of the  self by realizing the self is neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self is formless soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states.

Non-dualistic or Advaitic  truth is very simple, but it seems difficult  because of the inborn  ignorance.  The inborn ignorance is present in the form of 'I'. The 'I' is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep(non-duality).  the truth is hidden within the three states and it is without the three states. when wisdom dawns the seeker becomes aware of the fact that the the formless witness of the three states  and the three states are one in essence. that essence is consciousness.

The seeker, who has the real urge of knowing the mystery behind their own existence must realize there is no scope for duality is reality.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is about:  How to find detachment or freedom from experiencing the  of duality as reality  and attain wisdom. The seeker who is receptive and ready for transformation happens simultaneously as he is able assimilates Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana .

The seeker, who has intense urge and capacity grasp the truth, immediately awakens as the formless witness of the three state states.

The formless path (F.P) is spiritual enlightenment. Truth seekers are called to be liberated and enlightened in this very life.

F.P takes the seeker  embarking on a rare mental journey. There is noting to strive physically for. The seeker has to mentally trace and realize the formless substance and witness of the three states. Seeker has to descend into the depth of  soul-centric reasoning,  to understand, assimilate and realize the reality of his true existence.

By inquiring, reasoning, understanding, assimilating, listening, reflecting  into the nature of the mind the seeker  becomes more and more receptive. F.P weaves its insights to seduce the seeker to shift its attention from form, time and space to the formless substence and witness of the form, time and space.

In self-awareness the for, time and space are one in essence. Thus the experience of diversity is mere mirage.

the formless substance and the witness of the three states is the formless  soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  In reality formless substance and the witness both are one in essence. Thus the three states and its witness are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Thus there is no scope for second thing other than consciousness. Thus consciousness is ultimate truth of Brahman.

Non-dualistic or Advaitic truth is based on the source from where  the mind rises and subsides . Without discovering the source the truth realization is impossible.

The “Soul itself is ultimate truth or Brahman”. Therefore searching the truth on the base of religion, god and scriptures and yogic practice will not yield any fruits, because they are not based on the formless  soul, the innermost self.

Since, religion, individual god and yoga are based on the false self(ego or waking entity) within the false experience(waking)

The soul, the innermost self  is formless, timeless and spaceless one; and it pervades in all   the three states (waking dream and deep sleep) as their formless substance and witness.

Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the right tool to unfold the mystery of the mind, which is present in the form of the universe.

All physical based spiritual teachings such as religion, god glorification, scriptural studies and yoga are inadequate or useless in pursuit of truth.

F.S helps the Seeker  to realize the fact that:-  not only world is myth, but also the mind is myth, and  the waking experience itself is myth. Whatever prevails without the myth is the soul, and the soul, the innermost self is ultimate reality.

The world, which is suffering from the religion syndrome creating the unrest, terrorism, wars in the name of religion and god, which does not exist in reality.

If self is not physical then what is the use of searching and trying to understand and assimilate the truth on physical base

Self –knowledge is meant for those who are in search for the reality of their  true existence. In pursuit of truth one need not go detail about the physical body and the world, but one has to know the unreal nature of mind in which the physical body and the world exists. The physical existence is dependent on mind, if mind is there the physical existence is there. Absent of mind is absent of physical existence. Therefore there is need to understand what is the mind, in pursuit of truth.

The deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning reveal the fact that the self is not physical but it is the spirit. If self is not physical then what is the use of searching and trying to understand and assimilate the truth on physical base. Therefore there is a need to rectify the seeking base from physical to the spirit base in order to understand and assimilate the Self-Knowledge. All the doubts and confusion will disappear as one learns to view and judge and reason on the base of the spirit, which is the true self.

The Reasoning on the base of the soul as self  helps to the self examine, to test how near to the wisdom  the one has approached, what progress has been already been made in this regard and what still remains to be accomplished. It sets a criterion of self-judgment.

The seeker can lead an active life without involving himself in religion, god glorification, or studying scriptures and yogic practice nor indulge in Atheism.

Intense urge of knowing the truth of true existence through perfect understanding by using reason on the base of the soul/self. It requires natural capacity to understand. Pursuit o truth is not for those who want anything less than truth.

Liberation is not in next life or next world but right here, in this very life, right now in this present experience itself. Seeker may grasp the nondual truth at any time, at any age if he has matured enough and receptive to receive it.

Mind/’I’ is myth. It appears as waking or dream; the experience within the waking or dream is ever changing with form, shape, color, and activities. Waking or dream experience disappears and becomes absolute and formless and non-dual. The truth of that which becomes dual[form] and non-dual [ formless] has to be analyzed to unfold the mystery of the mind.

By Analyzing the three states one becomes aware of the fact that, the witness of the three states is not physical but it is the formless spirit. Inquiry, analysis and Reasoning will lead the Seeking Mind towards the source which the formless witness and substance of the three states. When the Seeking Mind becomes fully aware of the fact that, soul is the formless substance and witness of the mind, which appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep then he become aware of the fact that mind is mere myth. The soul is the cause of all causes and it itself is uncaused.

Soul is the source from where Mind rises and subsides. Thus, it becomes aware that the mind/’I’ is an illusion on the standpoint of the formless source.

Inquiry and reasoning is not a set of question and answers. It is analyzing every doubt and confusion and solving the doubts by discriminating between the dual and nondual experiences, and coming to firm conclusion and conviction of the ultimate truth.

The formless witness alone exists when the waking and dream experiences subsides.  The Waking and dream has subsided as deep sleep. The knower of the three states is apart and eternal. The witness is nothing to with individual experiences such as birth, life and death, because it is not an entity or identity within the waking or dream.   The witness is within the three states as their formless substance and it is apart from the three states as their formless witness. On the standpoint of the formless substance and witness the three states are unreal, because the formless substance and witness are one in essence. Hence thee is no second thing exists other then the soul/spirit, hence it is non-dual.

Those who are frightened to accept the world is mere illusion should never indulge path of wisdom.

After verifying through deeper inquiry if one finds the world is the reality within the illusion then he cannot again say the world is not an illusion.

If one is frightened to accept the world is an illusion (waking) then he is unfit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Thus who stuck with the reality of the world, are stuck with the reality of the individual experiences of birth, life and death, which takes place within the unreal world. Thus the pursuit of truth is for those who have courage to accept the reality as it is, that is the reality without form, time and space.

According to Adavaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know Brahman. Thus, the purva mimam.sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the jnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Sri, Sankara says in Brahma Sutras: that Brahman is the cause of the world, whereas in Mandukya he denies it. This is because he says that at the lower stage of understanding, the former teaching must be given, for people will get frightened as they cannot understand how the world can be without a cause, but to those in a higher stage, the truth of non-causality can be revealed.

Those who are frightened to accept the world is mere illusion should never indulge path of wisdom.
