Even if one attains the knowledge of all the subjects of the world, yet he will not be in satisfaction without the self-knowledge.

If  the seeker who has intense urge, receptiveness, humility, sharp power of discrimination and courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth and the desire for knowledge of the ultimate reality, than he   is qualified for the Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The seeker who is ripe for Self-knowledge the veil of his ignorance will drop merely by listening, reading hearing as the non-dual truth revealed to him, he would be free of his doubts and confusions and grasps “what is truth” and “what is untruth” by sound discrimination and mentally drops the untruth by establishing in the truth and gets freedom from experiencing the illusion as reality.

Even if one attains the knowledge of all the subjects of the world, yet he will not be in  satisfaction without the self-knowledge.  People do not know how this existence comes into being and how is it dissolved’.

Seeker of truth wants to find out how this existence comes into being, what sustains it and how it is dissolved.  And he also wants to know if there is a way out of this process leading to the self-awareness.

As one goes in deeper self-search he becomes aware of the fact that, this existence arises in consciousness and also it dissolves in consciousness.

When one becomes aware of the fact that:-

v  What is mind?

v  What is the substance of the mind?

v  What is the source of the mind?

v  What is the nature of the mind?

When one becomes aware of the nature of the mind than he becomes aware the fact that, the mind is not within the body but body and the universe are within the mind,  because the mind itself is the universe, which appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.

The mind which is in the form of universe is sustained by consciousness. As long as there is craving for experiencing the objective world, so long the world is experienced as reality. When desire is totally worn out, there is self-knowledge, and that establishes into self- awareness’.

Consciousness is the Self hidden in everyone, everything and everywhere in all the three states. As seeker indulges in deeper self-search, which leads him into self-awareness.

When one becomes fully   aware of the fact that, his body and his experience of the universe are made out consciousness than he is free from the ignorance, and also he gets freedom from experiencing the duality as reality.

When ignorance has been eliminated, self is free from bondage and burden of the waking experience. There is no more seeking of wealth, friends, sensual pleasure, scriptural studies or any sort of knowledge.

Realizing the consciousness is the true self and the Witness of the three states, the self or consciousness is free from the illusory burden and bondage.

The one who is free of uncertainty within, and who outwardly wanders as a house holder, can only be known by someone of his the same level of understanding.

By acquiring the Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only means for freedom from experiencing the duality as reality. Freedom from experiencing the limitations of the individual existence as reality, and freedom from experiencing the bondage of the form, time and space as reality, and also  freedom from experiencing the birth, life, death and the world as reality.

Every seeker is keen to know is whether liberation is attainable by renouncing the worldly life and only through wisdom.

The practical life within the practical world is nothing to do with the pursuit of truth. There is no need to renounce the worldly life in order to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Being a householder anyone who has inner urge and serious and sincere in his pursuit of truth can acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana

The worldly life should not be mixed with pursuit of truth. In the midst of practical life one must devote as much time as possible to his inner journey.   There is no need to renounce anything or perform celibacy, because mostly the seekers of truth are naturally not much attracted towards worldly pleasures.  They are happy and contended whether they have luxuries of life or simple living.

The freedom is not losing the practical life in the practical world but realizing the fact that the self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the self is the formless substance and witness of the three states.

There is no need to renounce the practical life in practical world in order to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seeker of truth is ripe enough and his focus of attention turned inwards and his mental condition is such that he even though he may live with all his worldly possessions and comforts on the physical plane as householder but he has mentally renounced it.  That is he is lives in the practical world but not of it.

As long as one is not disillusioned about the way of the world, and inwardly free of worldly pursuits.  Seeker must cultivate the required framework and then only indulge in pursuit of truth without disturbing his worldly life.

When one is finds the religion or yoga or theoretical philosophy the  are inadequate and useless in quenching his spiritual thirst  then only he  enters into the inquiry regarding the ultimate nature of reality and the true significance of existence.

When one mentally drops the Self-identification with the three states than there is self-awareness. In self-awareness he is fully aware of the fact that the all the experiences of the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness. Thus there is no forth state because the three states are itself are mirage. Thus consciousness alone shines as self. And consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman.

Physical existence is rooted in falsehood of form, time and space, and is sustained by form, time and space and can be dissolved by transcending the form, time and space.

Without the form, time and space the universe cease to exist. Without the universe, it is formless, timeless and spaceless existence, which everyone experiences and identifies it as deep sleep due to ignorance.  Thus the real nature of the self is like deep sleep experience. But going to sleep is not Self-Realization but consciously aware of the true self in the midst of waking experience leads to self-awareness.

Consciousness is ultimate ground of the physical existence. So consciousness provides the key for all the problems of existence. By understanding of the nature of the mind, one will be able to rise above the illusory duality and to lead a life of liberated soul, living in this world without involving himself in any of its affairs, embodying in his life and action, consciousness free from the bondage of egocentric existence.
