‘It’ is the mind or the universe

The mind (universe) rises from the formless soul, which is in the form of consciousness. The sense of ‘I’ rises as mind. The mind is in the form of the universe. Thus ‘I’ is the mind or the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.  Holding sense of ‘my’ limited to the ego is the cause of separation. It makes one feel, he is an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to him, and he is born in it afterwards. Until one has this conviction, it is very difficult to grasp the non-dual truth.

Thus it is necessary to realize the self is neither the ego nor the world but is the witness of the ego, body and world together.  The true self is formless witness of the three states.  And it is also the formless substance of the three states, because without self the three states are non-existent.

In reality the substance and witness are one in essence. The essence is consciousness and it is the ultimate truth. The formless self is the witness of the three states.  And the formless witness is within the three states. And it is without the three states.  And also it is   apart from the three states.  It is within the three states as their formless substance. And it is without the three states as their formless witness. And it is also apart from the three states because it's not an entity or identity within the three states.

Lots of patience, humility is needed in pursuit of truth. Arguments on their point of view are the greatest hindrance in pursuit of truth. Thus holding any teacher and teaching or scriptures are the greatest hindrance in pursuit of truth.

Egocentric yardstick based on the accumulated knowledge is the greatest hindrance in pursuit of truth.

Devotional path, yogic path and the path of love and humanity are meant for the practical life within the practical world and they are nothing to do with the path of truth or wisdom, because in the realm of truth the practical life and the practical world are mere illusion. Thus mixing them with path of truth or wisdom is like mixing oil into water.

Intellectuality is based on individuality and individuality is egocentric. Thus the religious path, yogic path and intellectual path are great hindrances in pursuit of truth.

The Seekers of truth have to respect everyone’s views and wisdom without arguing but politely answering or keeping silence with others who try to cause disturbance with their egoic attitude.  And never indulge condemning others who do not agree with each other’s view.

Keeping   internal (mental) distance with the people who indulge in perverted arguments and provokers is very much necessary in pursuit of truth. The inner calmness has to be gained which is very much necessary in pursuit of truth to move inward.

God is not belief. Holding belief as God is holding the illusion as reality

God is not belief. Holding a belief as God is holding  the illusion as reality, because the belief is possible only within the realm of duality. Duality is mere illusion from the ultimate standpoint. Without the belief in God the belief system holds no water. Belief is not God. Belief needs the believer. The believer needs to be born in this world. If the believer is born than he is part of the illusion. Without the believer there is no belief. The believer and his world and his belief of GOD are part of the illusion because the self is birth-less because the self is formless. The one, which is born, lives and dies, is not the self. The innermost self is formless substance and the witness of the falsehood [universe or waking or illusion], which is soul or consciousness, consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman or Christ.
The falsehood is present in the form of ‘I’ (mind or universe). The ‘I’ is the cause of the ignorance. If one crosses the ‘I’ (mind or universe) than the self in the kingdom of non-dual heaven without the body and without experience of the world undefined
In the Holy Bible first says: -there is GOD and then it says GOD is within and finally it says SELF is GOD. (They misinterpret it as I AM GOD)
Spirit is my father; I and my father are one. – Soul, which is in the form of formless Spirit undefined ‘I’ (mind or universe) are one. Soul and mind are one in essence. Therefore there is no second thing exists other than formless Spirit (Father or GOD) – everything is Spirit or consciousness
If the Biblical insights are physicalized than it gives dualistic meaning. Only when we are able to view and judge the worldview on the base of the Spirit, which is the innermost self, we will be able to recognize the Advaitic or non-dualistic essence hidden in the Bible.
People who are conditioned by religion will not accept anything other than their accepted truth. The scriptures are meant for those who are stuck the practical life within the practical world as reality.

The universe is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself. Dualist’ sages’ approaches were more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they took it as real. Therefore. Their understanding is based on the ego , which is false self within the false experience.

People think ‘I’ or ‘I AM as self only their body is not self. Only when the ‘I’ is there than only the body, ego and the world are there. If ‘I’ disappears than the body, ego and the world disappear. Without the ‘I’ there is neither body, nor ego and nor world. The ‘I’ is present when the mind is present. The mind is present only when the universe is present. The universe is present only when the waking is present. Waking is present only when there is ignorance.

Thus ‘I’ is the cause of the ignorance. Getting rid of the ignorance is very much necessary in pursuit of truth.

Non-dualistic truth is supreme truth; all dualistic systems hold false self undefined as real self and false experience [universe or waking] as reality. Non- dualistic wisdom is the culmination of all systems including theistic non-duality. The true non-dualist will not quarrel and argue with any theoretical philosophy because he is fully aware of the fact that, this orthodox theistic non-dualistic scholars or pundits like Dualist sages could not distinguish between ‘I’ and ‘formless witness.’ The 'I' was the witness. Their highest was the Jiva. One is so much attached to the 'I' that he does not want to think that 'I' does not exist. Again one is unable to detach the ‘I’ from the Real witness.

There is need to study the scriptures. One has to self-search the truth and realize it without the scriptures. And then when he reads the scriptures he becomes aware the scriptures are also saying the same thing but everything is misinterpreted.

Thus holding the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as self and trying to assimilate the self-knowledge will not yield any fruit. Thus deeper verification is very much necessary to drop the ‘I’ or ‘I AM THAT – declared by the sages in the past which are useful only in the lower stages.

That is why BUDDHA SAID: - Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.

Therefore nothing to be accepted as truth without verification.

The ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality [universe or waking] as reality. Thus eradicating the ignorance completely is necessary. And this is possible only through self-knowledge. Thus, there is no other road to freedom other than Gnana. There is no other entrance other than except Gnana. The ignorance will vanish only when the non-dual wisdom dawns. Detachment to attachment is impossible without wisdom. Only when one realizes the fact that, the self is not form but self is formless, then only it is possible to detach the ‘self’ from the false attachment.

That is Sri Sankara, in Bhaja Govindam says: - [Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena] - one without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

Thus it proves that wisdom is universal irrespective of any religion of faith one belongs. Thus religion is not the means to self-knowledge. Thus Sri, Sankara’s Advaita minus orthodoxy is true Advaita.

Sri Sankara himself says : - 59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.

63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman ? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

So long as one is in the realm of duality, one has to explain how or why one thing came from another; and contradictory views are expressed. But when a Gnani shows there is no second, there is no production, and the contradictions do not arise at all, when the ultimate thing is consciousness alone. Thus consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman.

The dualists’ arguments are based on false self (ego or waking entity) and false experience (waking or dream or universe) to show the weakness of the position of dualistic view point. They at their wits end to explain.
Existent cannot be a cause and effect at the same time, from the point of view of the dualist, but deeper self-search shows the Existent is no-two and causality can’t rise at all. Dualistic theory says that whatever was in the cause was also in the effect. They say that the gold brick, the gold medal, the gold ornaments --are in the seed--the gold. Deeper self-search reveals the fact that, if cause and effect are one what is the difference between the two?

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana will interest only few people; the rest are interested in Religion, yoga other paths

Self-knowledge  or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana will interest only few people; the rest are interested in Religion, yoga other paths like path of love and humanity and path of pleasure hunting.  Thus path of love and humanity is necessary in practical life and practical world and we have to respect those people who are immersed in the path of love and humanity.  They are doing great job for the humanity.

Many people who have chosen path of love and humanity indulge in condemning others   without realizing they are propagators of love and by condemning others   the seed of   love cannot be sowed. The love and hate are made of the same clay, which is consciousness.   It is wrong to assume those who have chosen path of wisdom are renounced the outer world and gone ashtray. They too are actively involved in practical life and indulge in loving humanity.

Renouncing the world and taking Sanyasa is religious path not the path of wisdom.  The seeker of truth is ever active as a householder and it is his own personal journey he knows what he wants and what he is doing. I respect all those are in path of love and humanity and any other path. And everyone in the path truth loves and respects the humanity in the practical world.   Externally he love humanity and internally he is moving from ignorance to wisdom.

It is not the body that has to get freedom but it is the self that is seeking freedom from experiencing the birth, life, death and universe as reality. Only when self-wakes up from the sleep of ignorance by realizing its formless non-dual true nature the freedom happens. For this self has to drop the inborn samskara or conditioning of ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ by realizing self not ‘I’ or ‘I AM’.

Thus it is erroneous to think on the body base, when the self is not the body. If the self is not the body; than the individual life is nothing to do with the formless self. The experience of birth, life, death and the universe are part and parcel of the illusion.  Thus one need not here enter into any account of the course that the soul with its ignorance takes after death—along the way of the fathers, or of the gods, or being debarred from either, according to its works and knowledge. Nor need one enter into any of the other psychological-eschatological questions connected with the state of the soul after the death of the body.  The self is not an individual and self is birthless, deathless, therefore it is erroneous to base the truth of the individual experience of birth, life, death, god and universe.

The universe   or samsara remains for all except those who have attained the higher knowledge. He who has attained to the knowledge of the identity of the self with consciousness, which involves the distinction of the self from its ignorance and consequently its freedom from them, has thereby attained Moksha, or freedom. This is a freedom for which one has not to wait till after death, but it may be possessed even in this very life.

Orthodox Advaitin hold virtue is essential for the attainment of Moksha or freedom. But when the self is not and individual this question is hardly a relevant one. It is not quite just to interpret the knowledge which brings freedom as if it were of the nature of a purely intellectual intuition.

As one goes in deeper self –search one becomes aware of the fact that: - The Upanishads are self-contradictory. Different scholars give different conflicting interpretations of them. Final authority therefore is using our own reason. This does not mean one need to give up the scriptures, but he should apply his reason to them. Reason is common to all, whereas orthodoxy belongs to separatist.

The scriptures are for ignorant masses, who wholly accept the material world as it presents itself. Gnana is for those who have begun to realize that things are not what they seem.

The Scriptural citations may be quoted only after one has shown the reality and proved the truth, for then he can point out that the texts teach the same thing. If one quotes them before having demonstrated truth, then it is scholasticism. The Scriptures are of value only when dealing with persons who are incapable of understanding truth. They have no value as authority for those who use reason.

Reason is the common ground for all humanity, whereas the appeal to scriptural relations reaches only groups. Because all the religions are based on the false self and the false experience,  there are   so many conflicting ideas , many changes, divisions and subdivisions ,which leads to all sorts of  doubts and confusions.  When one meets with suffering and disappointment doubts arises. Doubts are absolutely necessary to make one inquire. Pursuit of truth is for getting rid of all doubts.
