The
soul, the innermost self is the witness-consciousness that experiences the
action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that
illuminates everything in a theater, revealing the master of ceremonies, the
guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart,
the light shines to reveal their absence.
Till wisdom dawns the seeker keeps verifying with all point of views in all angles shares his views. The pursuit of truth is not pursuit of argument or sharing knowledge is not lecture.
Experience is prior to thinking. Without the Waking experience (mind), the person and the world cease to exist. The person can think only within the Waking experience. Without the Waking experience how can the person think? Therefore thinking is possible only in the Waking experience. Thus the experience is prior to the thought.
Thoughts are not the means to realize the self. The thought is rises within the false experience. The thought cannot be formed without the form within the false experience (duality or mind). Only reversal thinking through inquiry and reasoning and analyses will lead one towards wisdom. Instead of searching the source of the thought, it is better to search the source of the three states, to unfold the mystery of the existence.
The thought cannot rise without the form. Even if one claims the thoughts are formless, their main ingredient is form. Only as a person one is able to think and have thoughts. The person has to exist before he has thoughts. The person and his experience of the world cannot exist without the mind, which is present as Waking and dream. Therefore, the person gets his thoughts only in waking or dream. In deep sleep the experience is absent, therefore thoughts are also absent.
People think they can control the mind. But with what they are going to control the mind? How can anyone control the mind, with the mind? Because, there is no other tool available other than the mind. How can man still his thoughts without knowing the nature of the mind? or what is mind?
Through bookish knowledge they say form is formless. But they are unable to realize, how the form is formless, without realizing the fact, that their whole human experience, which includes the world, is created and sustained and finally dissolves, as formless and non-dual substance. That formless non dual substance itself is the spirit, or consciousness or soul or Atman. The formless soul or consciousness is the innermost self.
To make the mind still, one has to discover and realize the true self, is the spirit. Then only the true meaning of the Bibles spiritual insight: Be still and know that I am God will be revealed --stillness is possible only when the soul, the innermost self remains in its formless non-dual true nature.
