Everything in physical existence or universe nothing but mind.

Everything in physical existence or universe  nothing but mind.  The body, ego and universe cease to exist without the mind. Limiting the mind to the physical entity is cause of the ignorance and ignorance is cause of experiencing the duality is reality. Therefore it is necessary to know “what is mind” and “what is the substance of the mind?” and what is the source of the mind in order to move deeper in pursuit of truth. Until we think the mind is within the body we will not be able to assimilate the non-dual truth because deeper self-search revels the fact that, the body and the universe are within the mind.   Therefore we have to remove the obstacle mentally to realize the mind, which is in the form of universe is mere myth.

The traditional Advaitin will not accept anything else as proof other then what scriptures says. It is waste of time to convince the people who cannot be convinced, because they have built egoic wall around them.   One has to go beyond Advaith to understand, assimilate and realize the non-dual truth. We have to drop all accumulate dross in order to understand and assimilate non-dual truth.

Even in the Buddhism: - Buddhist teaching has itself become a kind of interactive and self-evolving process, much like its idea of pratityasamutpada. However, the end goal is still Nirvana, which is an experience ultimately beyond all concepts and language, even beyond the Buddhist teachings. In the end even the attachment to the Dharma, the Buddhist teaching, must be dropped like all other attachments. The tradition compares the teaching to a raft upon which one crosses a swift river to get to the other side; once one is on the far shore; there is no longer any need to carry the raft. The far shore is Nirvana, and it is also said that when one arrives, one can see quite clearly that there was never any river at all.

The scriptures and theories and teaching based on the ego are not the yardstick. Using them as yardstick to understand and assimilate the truth will lead one towards pursuit of arguments. Seeker of truth has to discover on his own, the truth of his true existence by inquiring “what is mind?” and “what is substance of the mind?” and move forward.

The wisdom consists in knowing the truth, that everything (mind or universe or  physical existence) is consciousness. Freedom (ultimate truth) is always there yet one does not know it.  But to those whose reason is turned away from physicality and who have attained the serenity of the soul or consciousness, the innermost self  are quite near to the ultimate truth.

To think once own body and his experience of the world is an illusion is difficult matter, unless one realizes the self is not physical but it is formless soul it is difficult to have glimpse of truth.

When one realizes the fact that, the self is not physical but the formless soul, naturally the body and universe becomes illusion.

The mind (universe)is emanating from soul (consciousness) means the mind is being effect from consciousness is not different from it. Deeper analysis shows it. Analysis needs deeper thinking and reasoning. Mind is whole universe thus it has a form. But where is the form in consciousness (soul) because consciousness is like an ocean and mind is like wave.  The universe is same consciousness, as the ocean produces the wave, so the consciousness produces the mind(universe).

The moment one knows the mind (universe) is consciousness, and then there is no ignorance. If one knows consciousness as self then everything is consciousness, the consciousness is second to none.  The mind is consciousness but due to ignorance one mistakes it for something else. One thinks the self is within the body; but the self is without the body and the world.

Mind ceases to exist without the matter. Without the matter mind ceases to exist as mind but it exists as matter- less awareness or consciousness. Without the mind neither the world nor its perceiver can exist.

Without the matter there is no duality. Without duality there is no experience. Without experience it is non dual reality. Therefore whatever prevails without the mind is ultimate reality.

The true nature of the soul (consciousness)is camouflaged by the illusion or duality.  To know the truth one has to discover and realize the formless substance of the mind or illusion. One has to learn to view and judge the worldview on the standpoint the formless soul as self.   Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is the prime goal of the truth seeker. This goal is hidden within the mind as its invisible substance and witness. Therefore, it is necessary inquiry, analyze and reason in to the nature of mind or  duality or illusion in order to unfold the mystery of mind or duality or illusion.

Discovering truth is one thing and Understanding and assimilating is another thing and realizing it is yet another thing.

Upanishads say "He who thinks he knows, does not know." This means that to know anything implies a second, an object of knowledge, hence duality, i.e. no Gnana.

One thinks there is mind when he has thoughts, but when thoughts are not considered different from the consciousness, which is the true self, then where is the division into, waking, dream and deep sleep etc.

Void implies to duality: the universe may not exist but the thought of the second is there. If one knows there is Void (emptiness or nothingness), then there is something there to be known and know. They are or have become consciousness

Since people use their accepted truth as yardstick, they will not be able know what we say. They think they have mastered the whole Advaith philosophy or some teaching of great master but they will not be able to realize the non-dual truth.  Such people are like stagnant water collected in the pond, which stinks of their accumulated dross. They block the new knowledge to come in.  Very few like you are fortunate to go to the ultimate end and realize it.

Discovering truth is one thing and Understanding and assimilating is another thing and realizing it is yet another thing.

The non-dual truth is very easy but very difficult to assimilate and realize it. The one who realizes the fact that, body and the universe are created out of consciousness, and then there is nothing else to know. By knowing and realizing  this truth  there is unity in diversity. There is no second thing exists other then consciousness. The diversity is mere mirage created out of consciousness.

Since, they are stuck with the idea that the body is made of flesh, bone and blood and universe is of the matter, they will be unable to accept their birth, life, death and world as illusion.  By accepting the illusion as reality they will remain judging the worldview on the base of birth entity.  Whereas, the true self is not the birth entity but it is the formless substance and witness (consciousness) of the illusory birth, life, death and world.    For one who is aware of the consciousness as self, is also aware of the fact that, birth, life, death and world are mere illusion created out of consciousness.

Consciousness can never be destroyed, but it resolves back to its formless non-dual true nature. Nothing is beyond or higher than the consciousness. – Mind and the soul [consciousness] are essentially one, as are the ocean and the waves. As long as illusion exists the separation exists. As long as separation exists duality will prevail as reality. So long the ignorance prevail, the birth, life, death and the world will remain as reality. But when one awaken into reality, all the reality of illusion cease forever.

Neither by Yoga, nor by scriptural studies, nor by action, nor by learning, but only by the realization of one's identity with consciousness freedom is possible, and by no other means.

Lectures consisting of a shower of ornamental words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures or intellectual theories, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar, but are no good for freedom.

The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence one should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self, which is consciousness.

Most seekers have accepted some philosophy as truth or some teaching as truth. Just by studying teachings of Sri, Ramana Maharishi and Sri, Nisargadutta Maharajah Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana will not arise , but one has to do his own home work and  find the obstacles in their teaching, which blocks him from realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.

The ultimate truth or Brahman  is easier without any teaching. Mostly people are sentimentally and emotionally get involved with their teachings and blindly accept whatever said in those teaching and refuse to verify the facts. This sheepish mentality is greatest obstacle in pursuit of truth, because it makes one more and more egocentric, not soul centric.

In the scriptures, it says that the world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

Most of the teachers and thinkers approach was more practical, and they have stuck with the reality of the world, they took it as real.

An intelligent and learned man skilled in arguing in favour of the Scriptures and intellectuality and in refuting counter-arguments against them – one who has got the above characteristics is not fit recipient of the knowledge of the self, which is in the form of consciousness.

BRAHMAN -The English use of the word real as applied to material world, whereas the  sages of truth   used it as applied to unseen Brahman. Hence much errors have arisen in translations from the Sanskrit.

BRAHMAN- The word Brahman or Sat has no proper equivalent in English. The nearest is ultimate reality or ultimate truth The west however apply reality to individual objects or to the multiplicity of them all: whereas sages of truth  applied  it to the non-duality. Brahman is called "That" because it is something not known yet by the seeker.

Foreign seekers find it an exotic and new cultural experience to visit Indian ashrams. The ashrams supposedly offer the chance of seeing and being helped or healed a living God man, a self-proclaimed avatar or God Incarnate.

Most of the seekers usually arrive with their minds filled with what most often turn out to be false ideas about 'spirituality'. Many are very enthusiastic at seeing some of the diverse religious beliefs which infest India - seers, fakirs, soothsayers, astrologers, yogis, sadhus, temple priests and swamis. The great majority of them are either naive believer who is practicing a traditional tradecraft under whatever 'spiritual' pretense or else direct but clever frauds.

Many teachers are limited by their own life’s experiences and what they have and what they have not worked out within their own given egos.
Many People just expect mental spoon feeding to know the truth of their true existence. And they never bothered to take trouble and verify on their own. It is very difficult to acquire Self-Knowledge if they do not do their own homework.
It is impossible to acquire non dual truth without indulging in deeper inquiry analysis and reasoning.

The true self has existing unobserved, unrecognized except by those who are able to discover the fact that, the self is not physical but the self is soul, which is in the form of consciousness.  The consciousness is the substance and witness of the three states.

Consciousness is not limited to the form, but it pervades all the three states as its formless substance and witness. As a person perceiving the world within the waking/dream,   is not aware of the fact that ‘I’ is not the self, but the formless substance and witness of the ‘I’ is the true self. Thus it is necessary to realize the fact that ‘I’ is not the self in order to overcome the illusory duality.
The true self is the soul.  The nature of the soul, which is the true self,  is formless is non- dual. The soul or self is in the form of consciousness.   The self itself is the guru, which can be known only from the wisdom, and which is beyond the reach of speech and mind.

Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is difficult to obtain, without discrimination between the truth and untruth; therefore, it is necessary to know the truth in order to know what is untruth. Realization and continuing in a state of identity with consciousness comes next in order. Liberation from experiencing illusion as reality is attained through non-dual wisdom.

Ignorance is necessary in pursuit of truth and man and the universe is the product of ignorance. The longing for Liberation, and intense urge to know the truth and courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth, when the truth is revealed through inquiry, analysis and reasoning in necessary in pursuit of truth.

The man who, having, mastery of the scriptures to boot, is foolish enough not to exert himself for self-liberation, dies as ignorant himself by clinging to the illusion, which he believes  as reality. If one believes the illusion as reality it means he has accepted the birth, life, death and the world as reality, which are mere happenings within the illusion. Whatever, happenings within the illusion is bound to be illusion, the formless substance and witness of the illusion [mind] is real and eternal.

What is the use of mastering the Scriptures? What is the use of quoting the Scriptures? What is the use of worship, rituals   and sacrifice to the gods?  By mastering scriptures knowledge and quoting scriptures and performing rituals and worship the gods, there is no Liberation without the realization of one’s identity with the soul, which is in the form of consciousness.

There is no hope of immortality by means of riches or accumulation of wealth or distribution of it to others. The good deeds are cannot be the cause of Liberation from experiencing the illusion as reality.

The seeker of truth should strive, his best for liberation from illusion, by realizing the fact that, the ego is not self, and accepting the soul as true self and constantly fixing his attention on the consciousness [soul], which is ultimate truth.

Having attained the non-dual tranquility, one should recover one’s-self, immersed in the sea of illusory birth, life, death and world by means of right discrimination.

A Gnani having commenced the practice of the realization of the consciousness becomes aware of the fact that, all the bonds of birth, life death and the world are illusory, because all of it is created out of consciousness. Thus there is no second thing exist other then consciousness.

Action leads to believe the duality as reality, not to perception of the Reality. The realization of Truth is brought about by discrimination and not in the least by means of acts. Therefore, there is a need to realize the fact that the self is not physical but it is consciousness in order to discriminate the truth which is hidden in the illusion.

By adequate reasoning the conviction of the reality about the consciousness is gained, which puts an end to the great fear and misery caused by the illusion worked up in the deluded mind.

The conviction of the Truth is seen to proceed from deeper reasoning and gaining the wisdom.  The conviction of truth does not arise, neither by bathing in the sacred rivers, nor by donating wealth to the god men, nor by control of the vital force by regulating breath.

Success depends essentially on a qualified aspirant; time, place, circumstances and other such means are but auxiliaries in this regard.

The seeker after truth should take to reasoning, after duly realizing the fact that, the self is not physical but self is consciousness.

An intelligent and learned man skilled in arguing in favour of the Scriptures and intellectuality  and in refuting counter-arguments against them – one who has got the above characteristics is not fit recipient of the knowledge of the self, which is in the form of consciousness.

The man who discriminates between the Real and the unreal, whose mind is turned away from the unreal, who possesses calmness, and who is longing for freedom , is alone considered qualified to inquire after ultimate truth.

The focus of attention to ultimate truth succeeds, and in the absence of which, it fails. Seeker must have enumerated discrimination between the Real and the unreal; and aversion to the illusion, and intense yearning for freedom from illusion.

Seeker must have a firm conviction to the effect that [soul] consciousness is real and the mind [universe] unreal is designated as discrimination between the Real and the unreal.

The mind rests itself in consciousness after becoming aware of the fact that it is mere mirage created out of consciousness.

Acceptance by firm judgment as true of what the inquiry, analysis and reasoning revels, and by that means the Reality is perceived.

Not the mere indulgence in curiosity but the constant concentration of the intellect on the consciousness is self-settledness.

Yearning for Freedom is the desire to free one’s -self, by realizing the true nature of the true self, from all bondage of duality caused by Ignorance by realizing the fact that the self is not physical but self is formless consciousness.

Even though mediocre, this yearning for Freedom, through the grace of the self, may being developed by means of renouncing ignorance and developing humility and patience .

In his case, verily, whose are ready to overcome the ignorance through inquiry, analysis and reasoning   and yearning for freedom are intense, calmness and humility will bear fruit.

The inquiry into the truth of one’s own self is devotion. The inquirer about the truth of the soul who is possesses means of attainment should continue reasoning, until he emancipation from bondage from illusion.

A knower of ultimate reality or Brahman, who has withdrawn himself into ultimate reality; for him there is no bondage, there is no cause and effect for him, because he is aware of the fact that, the self is not physical but it is formless consciousness.

By worshiping that Guru with devotion, and approaching him, when he is pleased with prostration, humility and service, is not the means to self-realization.  This guru-dom is mere religious fable.

The seeker of truth has to realize the fact that, the birth, life and death are reality within the illusion.    The consciousness has neither birth nor death because it is formless and eternal. Whatever is born lives and dies is not the consciousness because it was present prior to birth, and it was present after birth, and it is ever present after the death.  But it is only the formless substance and witness of the birth, life and death. The birth, life and death has nothing to do with it, because it is always apart and unaffected because it is not a physical entity or identity which has birth, life and death.

A Gnani is always calm and magnanimous, who inspire others as does the spring, and who, having himself crossed this illusory ocean of birth, life, death and world, guides others also to cross the same, without any motive whatsoever.

It is the very nature of the Gnani to move of their own accord towards removing seekers’ obstacles in their pursuit of truth and guiding them towards non-dual destination.

How to cross this ocean of illusory existence?

Which means should one adopt?

How to put an end to the misery of this relative existence?

The one who has intense urge to know the truth and   has courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth, thirsting for freedom, who is ready to drop all the accumulated knowledge of Scriptures and other sources, who has humility to accept the truth, endowed with calmness and receptive to receive knowledge of self, and never argues with others to prove that his accumulated knowledge is truth without verifying the facts, such person is qualified for pursuit of truth.
It is illogical to ask,

1.       How the free became bound?
2.       How did the illusion come?

By analyzing the subject and object analysis helps us to understand and assimilate “What is truth?” and “What is untruth?” and   to accept the truth and reject the truth mentally.

People have hereditary superstition that, religion is holy, sacred and ancient. In the nature o the soul/self, which is in the form of consciousness there is no such division as internal and external.

There is a means of crossing this sea of the illusory existence; by realizing the fact that, the beyond is within and beyond is without.

There is a sovereign means which puts an end to the fear of illusory  existence; through that thou wilt cross the sea of duality and attain the non-dual existence.

Reasoning on the base of the soul, which is the true self, leads to Self- Knowledge, which is followed by the total annihilation of the misery born of illusory existence.

Seeker, who is aware of the fact that self is not physical but the self is formless consciousness, gets freedom from the bondage of duality/illusion, which is the conjuring of Ignorance.

It is verily through the touch of ignorance that the soul, which is in the form of consciousness, finds itself under the bondage of illusion, and it believes the births, life, death and world as reality. The fire of Self- knowledge, kindled by the discrimination between dual [mind] and non- dual [soul] experiences, burns up the effects of ignorance together with their root.

What is bondage?

Considering the self as physical is bondage.

How has it come upon the Self?

Due to ignorance, considering the self as physical the body and world becomes reality.

How does it continue to exist?

It continues to exist until one becomes aware of the fact that the self is not physical but the self is formless soul, which is in the form of consciousness.

How is one freed from it?

By getting rid of the ignorance through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning

What is this false -Self?

Ego is false self

Which is the true Self?

The soul is the true self, and it is in the form of consciousness.

How can one discriminate between them?

The ego is based on the form and true self is based on the soul/spirit. Tone has to discriminate between the experiences based on the form and formless.  Whatever is based on the form is impermanent and whatever is based on the formless is permanent.

'I' or I AM' is the inborn samaskara or conditioning.

'I' or I AM' is the inborn samaskara or conditioning. 'I' or 'I Am is the seed of ignorance. Holding the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as self, is the main hindrance in pursuit of truth. 'I' or 'I AM' is mother of all the conditioning.  The whole physical existence or mind or universe is based on this Conditioning. By focusing more and more attention on 'I' or 'I AM' the ignorance becomes more and more deep rooted.  Deeper self-search reveals the fact that, ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ itself is cause of the ignorance.  Thus careful analysis is required to know ‘what truth’ is and ‘what is illusion’.  The consciousness fuels up this ‘I’ or I AM. Sages in the past used ‘I’ or I AM as self to reach that stage then after the seeker is on his own.

To get   non-dual truth is possible by getting free from the bondage of Ignorance! Seeker has got no one but himself to remove his bondage.

The sickness  can be cured  by doctors, but no one but one’s own self can get rid of the ignorance caused by illusion.

The seeker who is on right direction, and strives on his own will be able to realize the non-dual truth. The non-dual truth   is not possible to realize through yoga and priest-craft.

The true nature of things is to be known personally, through the mental eye of clear illumination, and not through the physical eyes. One has to get rid of the bondage caused by the fetters of Ignorance on his own by clear and perfect understanding.

Through consciousness, man becomes aware of the waking, dream or deep sleep experiences. Consciousness is the all-pervading Self in all the three states. Knowing consciousness as self, the ignorance ceases to exist.

All the three states are directly rooted in the Self, which is consciousness.  The ego is individual self and the soul is the universal self. Ego is the false self within the false experience.  When through wisdom all   this is truly known, the ignorance ceases, for the Gnani identifies with the consciousness, which is the true Self.

Consciousness transcends all illusion. Consciousness is the immortal Self. Only in physical existence one thinks that he is poor, wealthy, powerful individual separate from the world. And he also thinks that the world existed prior to him and he is born in it later on.  Until this conviction is there he will not become aware of the fact that, his body and the world are also made of consciousness. Until, he thinks he is born in this world, he is in the shackles of physicality.   Until he is in the shackle of physicality he will never accept the truth that the universe is mere illusion.  Without realizing the fact that the universe is unreal, it is impossible to understand and assimilate non dual truth.

The individual experiences and circumstance totally beyond individuals control, which appear and disappear spontaneously.  It is wrong to think individual is the masters of past, present and future because the time exist only in illusion. All our fear comes from unawareness the fact that self is formless. By turning inward and discovering the fact that the self is beyond form, time and space.  By realizing this fact one will pass beyond illusion. Yoga is inseparably bound up with the necessity for physical based practices of regulating the vital force or breath; therefore they are not means to self realization. All theoretical understands are egocentric. Therefore, they are more than dead words on a dead page.

He who has grasped the fact that the consciousness is the true self- will become aware of the fact that, consciousness exists prior to the appearance of the three states.  The consciousness is the source of the three states.

The knower of the source is the knower of the truth.  Without knowing the source one is in ignorance of the source, which is the consciousness.  The source is the true self.

The consciousness rises as “mind” and subsides back as “consciousness”.    When one turn within, to the core of his being, there he will not find the ego, but he will find its source, the consciousness, which is second to none the ultimate reality.  Consciousness alone is all else is mere mirage created out of consciousness.

This is the true understanding of the self–that in which the two are seen to be one, although their distinction is eternal. The word “born” is misleading, for the Self is never born. There does come a time when it becomes manifest in the illusion, but it existed prior to the   illusion. There was never a time when consciousness did not exist, even   the illusion of form, time and space it existed as its formless substance and witness.

Consciousness is not only is within the mind but it is without the mind. Consciousness is the power of all powers.

Everything is consciousness. In the final sense there is second thing at all. Yet, at the moment on e find him-self in the seemingly manifold condition that is necessary for his evolution in understanding and ultimate freedom.

By mistaking the self to be physical, on e is mistaking the nature of consciousness as well. Consciousness is “the power of all powers, but thinking the physical body to be the self, one has created unconsciously the physical prison out of consciousness. When one becomes aware of the fact that, the whole physical prison created out of consciousness, the ignorance vanishes the consciousness alone prevails as eternal existence.

When the self is not the form but it is formless, then how can one accept himself   to be the servants or slaves of any god men or conceptual God?  If one accepts the idea of god or god men to be the god, then he is accepting the self to be physical. By accepting the self as physical he is accepting the illusion as reality.  By accepting the illusion as reality one is accepting the illusory birth, life, death and the world as reality.

All the god oriented theories are based on the false physical self.  Holding the god as the base of existence becomes a greatest obstacle in pursuit of truth.

The mind which contains the whole universe with it perceiver is apart from the consciousness, which is ever formless.  Consciousness is the source in which the mind rises and sets. The waking, dream, and deep sleep states take place within the consciousness. The experience of birth and death likewise take place within the consciousness. The birth, life death and the world are within the mind but the consciousness is without the mind. When consciousness prevails without the mind it is non-dual reality.

Neither by Yoga, nor by scriptural studies, nor by action, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with consciousness is freedom possible, and by no other means.

Hence one should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

The person, and his experience of the the world and his sense of form, time and space are made of single essence, which is formless consciousness.

The person, and his experience of the the world and his sense of form, time and space are made of single essence, which is formless consciousness. Until the diversity dominates the ignorance prevails. Until ignorance is there, the form, time and space prevails as reality. until the form, time and space prevails as reality , the experience of birth, life ,death and world experienced as reality. Until the birth, life, death and world is experienced as reality one remains in ignorance of the non-dual reality or Brahman. Thus perfect understanding is needed to realize what is what. thus seeker has to get rid of the mental  cobwebs  which is blocking his realization. All the cobwebs of  mental blockades  are because of the accumulated knowledge. thus careful analysis is required before accepting anything as truth.

The consciousness is the maker and the preserver of the mind, which is in the form of universe. Universe   appears as waking and dream and disappears as deep sleep. The Self-Knowledge is the foundation of all physical based knowledge.

By knowing the fact that, the consciousness as the true self of which all three states becomes known?

Two kinds of knowledge must be known. They are the spiritual Knowledge and the physical knowledge.   Of these two, the physical knowledge is of the worldly life.    And the spiritual [self] Knowledge is that by which the ultimate truth is attained.

By means of the Self- Knowledge, the Gnani behold everywhere consciousness, which otherwise cannot be seen or seized, which has no root or attributes, no eyes or ears, no hands or feet; which is eternal and omnipresent, all—pervading and extremely subtle; which is imperishable and the source of the mind, which appears as waking and dream and disappears as deep sleep.

As the spider sends forth and draws in its thread, as plants grow on the earth, as hair grows on the head and the body of a living man—so does mind, which is   in the form of  universe arise from the Imperishable consciousness.
Ignorant , dwelling in darkness, but the intellectuals  in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

People, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's purpose. Because these performers of karma do not know the Truth owing to their attachment, they fall from heaven, misery— stricken, when the fruit of their work is exhausted.

Ignorant, regarding religious rituals and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know ultimate truth. Thinking of their good work, with a motive to get reward for it in the next life or next world    they remain ignorant of higher truth.
Let a seeker, after having examined the mind and its substance that are gained by inquiry, analysis and reasoning, acquire freedom from experiencing the illusion as reality: nothing that is eternal can be produced by what is not eternal. In order that he may understand assimilate and realize that Eternal consciousness.
The  seeker who has intense urge to know the truth , whose has the humility to listen  and whose is receptive, who does not use his accumulated knowledge as yardstick,  will be able to understand ,assimilate and realize the Self- Knowledge, through which one knows the consciousness, which is formless and nondual in its nature.
Consciousness is the self—luminous and formless soul, uncreated and existing both within and without. Consciousness is devoid of life, devoid of mind, pure and higher than the supreme Imperishable.

From consciousness are born the three states.   From consciousness come mind, which contains the oceans and the mountains, rivers of every kind of plants and flavours.

The mind alone is the universe.  And consciousness is the substance and witness of the mind. The consciousness, hidden within the three states — He who knows this ultimate truth will be able to cross the threshold of duality.

The consciousness dwells in the mind.  Mind is form, time and space. Without the mind there is no form, no time and no space. Consciousness is the support of mind; for in consciousness is centre of the mind in which everything that moves, breathes and blinks. One has to know the consciousness that to be as the true Self and beyond the understanding of the egocentrics.

The mind is not within the body but body and the universe are within the mind.

What is mind?

Mind is universe.
mind is waking experience.
mind is dream.
mind is form, time and space together.
Mind is birth,life and death.
Mind is duality.
mind is ignorance.
mind is  an experience.
Mind is mirage. mind is an illusion.
Mind is Myth.

If mind is there then only the universe there. If the mind is there then only the waking is there. If mind is there then only dream is present. If mind is there then only there is form, time and space there. If mind is there then only there is duality. if mind is there then only  the experience of birth, life and death is there. If mind is there then illusion is present. if mind is there then only there is ignorance. To get rid of the ignorance ,which is the cause of the experiencing the illusion as reality, one has to know and realize, the mind or universe or waking is mere mirage created out of consciousness.  Thus the mind or universe or waking is noting but consciousness in their essence. Thus consciousness  is innermost self   and real and eternal . On the standpoint of consciousness the mind or universe is Myth.

The mind is not within the body but body and the universe are within the mind. the mind is  present in the form  of the universe. the universe appears as waking or dream. The waking is parallel dream and dream is parallel waking.

Until one thinks the mind is within the physical body, he will permanently remain in ignorance. And ignorance makes his experience the illusion or universe or waking  or duality as reality.  until one experiences the illusion as reality the experience of  birth, life, death and the world within the illusion will be experienced as reality.

Mind becomes one with consciousness in deep sleep. Mind has emanated from and in consciousness.  The individual experiences are reality within the waking or dream. Individuality ceases to exist without the waking or dream.  The one which witnesses the dream is not waking entity and one which witnesses the waking is not dream entity. The one which witness the deep sleep experience is   neither dream entity not the waking entity. Then what is it that is aware of these three states, which come and go in succession.

It is the consciousness [soul] which is aware of all the three states, which comes and goes in succession. Thus it is the witness of the three states. It is also is the substance of the three states because it pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states. Thus consciousness is the common essence in dual and non-dual experiences.  The one, who discovers, understands and assimilates and realizes the essence as ultimate truth becomes free from experiencing the duality as reality.   The consciousness exists with or without the duality.   The birth, life, death and the world are within the mind or duality. And the consciousness is the formless substance witness of birth, life, death and the world [mind].  Consciousness [soul] is apart from the birth, life, death and the world, because it is not an object within the duality, but the duality [waking or dream] is an object to it.  When one becomes aware of the fact that, the formless substance and witness are one in essence, then there is unity in diversity.

Where there is duality, one sees another, smells another, tastes another, speaks to another, hears another, touches another, thinks of another, knows another. But where there is unity, one without a second that is the world of consciousness. Knowing consciousness as ultimate truth is the supreme goal of life. Those who do not seek this Supreme goal live on in the false experience, experiencing it as reality.

The ignorance is ever present in duality, because the duality [mind] is the product of ignorance.  To get rid of the ignorance is not possible without knowing the cause of the ignorance.  Judging on the base of the ignorance and concluding on the base of ignorance and propagating it as truth with ornamental words, is misdirecting others from pursuit of truth.  The point here is a parson and the world are within the appearance, but the person is not aware of knower of the appearance, which comes and goes as mind.  The inquiry is more powerful then theories.

Seeker of truth wants to know; how to know the mind is mirage, which is only appearance.  It is possible only through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning based on the formless self.   Therefore rectifying the seeking base is very much necessary in order to know “what is truth?” and “What is untruth?

It is easy to say the body and the world as illusion, but it is difficult accept them as illusion.  It is very difficult to accept the body and world as illusion, on the base of false self, because man and his experience of the world exist within the illusion/mind. Until and unless one inquires into the nature of illusion/mind, and realize the fact that, man is false  self , but the formless soul, is the true self ,   it is impossible to accept them as  illusion.

Only when one indulges in deeper inquiry he becomes aware of the fact that mind is not within the physical body but the physical body including the universe are within the mind. The same way as the dream man and dream universe, were within the dream [mind], the waking man and waking universe are within the waking experience [mind].    Thus one has to trace the knower of the three states which appear and disappear in succession, in order to realize the appearance is mere mirage and the formless knower of the mirage is real and eternal. Thus, whatever exists without the appearance is consciousness without the ignorance/duality.

The journey is full of obstacles because we have to drop all the accumulated dross and all the conditioning [samskaras] to cross the ocean of duality or samsara.

The truth is beyond all philosophy. When we realize all our accumulation of knowledge from outer sources is inadequate and useless in quenching our spiritual thirst, we will start our inner [mental] journey on our own.  The journey is full of obstacles because we have to drop all the accumulated dross and all the conditioning [samskaras] to cross the ocean of duality or samsara.

As one indulges in deeper self-search he will know somewhere he is going wrong, and it is for him to   overcome the entire obstacle on his own by knowing what is obstructing his realization.  The greatest hindrance is mixing religion, god, scriptures, and yogic theories and intellectual speculations and logical conclusions. Moreover, attachment to scriptures, personal god and religious code of conduct keeps one permanently in the grip of duality.

The Upanishads declare:-

Katha Upanishad 1:2:23 The Soul cannot be realized through hearing scholarly explanation
of the discourses, not even by the intellect.

Katha Upanishad 1:3:6Through the knowledge of the Soul, God, one is pure and clean constantly.” Neither by reading the book, nor by taking a bath at holy place has one become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with the Soul. Constant Soul-Consciousness is the real purity.

Kena Upanishad 2:4 When it is known through every state of cognition, it is rightly known, for (by such knowledge) one attains life eternal. Through one's own self one gains power and through wisdom one gains immortality.

Kena Upanishad 2:5
If here one knows it, then there is truth, and if here one knows it not, there is a great loss. Hence, seeing the Real in all beings, wise men become immortal on departing from this world.

Mundaka Upanishad 1:2:8
“Remaining in the fold of ignorance and thinking “we are extremely wise and learned,” the fools with boastful nature ramble about like the blind led by the blind alone.”

Mundaka Upanishad 3:2:3
“The weak and timid cannot realize the Self. Self-Realization is not possible through intellect or hearing spiritual discourse. One who welcomes God in every activity, through a thorough controlled and disciplined life, to him also the Soul is revealed."

Mundaka Upanishad 3:2:3:-

The Soul cannot be realized by the weak and timid.
RIG VEDA: - The famous utterance of Upanishad that Brahman cannot be attained by duality is in RV (5.12.2). The idea that Brahman cannot be attained by mere action or effort is in RV (8.70.3) and (5.48.5); Brahman cannot be approached by thought (RV.1.170.1 or Kena U., 1.3). [RV=RIG VEDA].

As indicated in ISH Upanishads: - By worshiping gods and goddesses you will go after death to the world of gods and goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spend there is wasted, because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of gods and goddesses you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

It clearly indicates that:-If the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorifying the conceptual gods, goddesses and gurus to go in to deeper darkness. Instead   spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal.

The wisdom consists in knowing the truth, that everything [mind or physical existence] is consciousness. Freedom [truth] is always there yet one does not know it.  But to those whose reason is turned away from physicality and who have attained the serenity of the soul/self [consciousness] are quite near to the ultimate truth.
