Worshiping belief of God is superstition***

The Soul is the Goal.  The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.

Religious people believe the stories of the Jesus who raised the dead and Krishna who picked a mountain as a reality but Jesus who raised the dead and Krishna who picked a mountain within the dualistic illusion. Whatever belongs to dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion.
Mythological God and Goddesses based on the belief. The belief is not God.  Worshiping belief  of God is superstition.  The belief implies duality. From the ultimate standpoint, the duality is mere an illusion. Thus, whatever one sees, knows, believes and experiences within the dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion.
Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is mere a superstition. Mythology was introduced in the past for the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progress in his spiritual advancement.
Swami Vivekananda: This bending the knee to superstitions, this selling yourself to your own mind does not befit you, the Soul. Self is infinite, deathless, and birthless. Because the Self is infinite Spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. ... Arise! Awake! Stand up and fight! Die if you must. There is none to help you. Self is the entire world. Who can help you?
Mythology breeds superstition, blind belief and senseless rituals and most irrational and gives them divine outlook.
Swami Vivekananda: ~ If superstition enters, the brain is gone. Superstition is our great enemy, but bigotry is worse.

Mythological contains stories of people with 10 with seven heads, etc., which are fables, yet are taken seriously by pundits.  All these stories are a reality within the dualistic illusion. The waking experience is dualistic illusion.   Thus, whatever belongs to the dualistic illusion is bound to be falsehood. In reality there is no duality because there is only Oneness.

That the ancient sages had miraculous occult power and books relate stories of their feats, are fairy tales were meant for children, women and those whose minds had not developed.
When ‘Self’ is not ‘you’ than whatever you have seen, known believed and experienced as reality is bound to be an illusion. Thus, self-realization is necessary to realize your present the world in which you exist is mere an illusion.

If the present the world in which you exist is mere an illusion, then whatever you believed as a real with the world in which you exist is bound to be an illusion.

The Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted other than consciousness a God.

Religious Gods are not real God. One must know God in truth.

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know me in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost ‘Self’. In reality there is no dualities, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

Vedas and Upanishad confirm the Soul, the innermost Self, is the present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness.

RIG VEDA: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit the universe resides. And into the Spirit the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

There is a clear cut idea of God in the Vedas, Upanishad and Bhagvad Gita. And also there is a clear cut idea of what not to worship as God in place of real God.  Thus, it proves on Vedic perspective the Puranic Gods are not Vedic Gods.

Vedas says never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman.
.
That is why Sage Sri, Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Hindus assert their religion is monotheistic, even though they honour a number of Gods, including Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer.  Hindus claim these various Gods are all manifestations of the oneness of the universe.  Hindu religious practices vary from place to place, but they frequently include yoga, physical and mental discipline to harmonize body and Soul, and ritual bathing.

Belief in multiple Gods, The worship of idols; the worship of images that are not God, The worship of sacred images, , ancestor worship, pilgrimage, priest craft, the belief in avatars or incarnations of God, the hereditary caste system on the grounds that all these lack Vedic sanction.
Hinduism indulges  non-Vedic beliefs  such as idolatry, ancestor worship, pilgrimages, priest craft, offerings made in temples, the caste system, untouchability and child marriages. All these lack Vedic sanction therefore Hinduism is not Ancient Vedic religion or Santana Dharma.

Realizing the universe is created out of single stuff and that single stuff is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness leads non-dualistic or Advaitic Self-awareness. Self-awareness is freedom or Moksha. Moksha is unity in diversity in the midst of duality.
*
It is very difficult to talk to people about ultimate truth or Brahman because everyone thinks he knows the ultimate truth or Brahman. This I know business is dangerous.  And whatever his reached conclusion is second hand stuff.  Therefore, accepting accumulated knowledge without verification will lead the seekers to hallucinated realization based on the ego.  One may have some flashes of truth when someone tries to indicate it through fewer words. But it takes nearer to truth not realization.

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs it means he does not identify him’Self’ as Guru or Yogi ***

The world is the same in the cause of a Gnani and in the cause of the ignorant.  A Gnani has realizes the world in which he exists is mere an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness whereas the an ignorant thinks the world, in which he exist is a reality.
The look of the world in we exist depend upon the medium through which the Seer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual condition will determine the world that confronts us observed and experienced.
A Gnani viewing the world in which he exist see differently for the ignorant viewing the same world.   Each one of them interprets   the world the world that confronts them in terms of their existing knowledge. A Gnani see the world, in which he exists as the  illusory paly of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness whereas the ignorant see the world in which he is born, live and dies as a reality.
A Gnani is the one who gained the self- knowledge has realized the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. Gnani is fully aware of the fact that the Soul is the innermost ‘Self’. The Soul is the fullness of the consciousness without the division of the form, time, and space. in the realm of the Soul the form, time and space are one, in essence.  That essence is the consciousness.  The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, is second to none. The Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.

Chandogya Upanishads:~  This universe comes forth from Brahman and will return to Brahman. Verily, all is Brahman. A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the ‘Self’.

The world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of the consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness it’Self’.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

That is why Sage Sri, Sankara says: VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

VC~ 65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

Mandukya Upanishads: ~    Even the Gods cannot find out who is a Gnani because he bears no external mark. Neither nudity nor the religious robe has anything to do with him.

Sage Sri, Sankara clearly indicates in the Viveka Chudamani (2) that the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Sage Sri, Sankara page 482: On Gnani:~ "The knower of Brahman wears no signs. Gives up the insignia of a monk's life…his signs are not manifest, nor his behavior."

Sage Sri, Sankara mentioned as the Knower of the Atman or the knower of Brahman or Brahma Gnani.

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs it means he does not identify him’Self’ as Guru or yogi or teacher or Swami, because a Gnani sees   the form, the time and space are one in essence. Thus, there is unity in diversity in his realization.

The ‘Self-inquiry’ is finding out the ‘Self’ which is hidden within the world, in which we exist.***

Sage Sri,Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

There are  three  kinds of aspirants:  ~

1.  The ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices follow religion.

2.      Middling intelct who desire peace and weill being  follow yogic path or meditaion.

3.     The more advanced seeker who seeks to know  the ultimate truth follow the Atmaimc path. The Atmic path  with its emphasis on the Advaitic wisdom  is meant for those who wish to go beyond the form, time and space.

Only through  deeper self-search  beginners and intermediates gradually become aware ‘what is what’. Only after they have  realzed the fact that the  ‘Self’ is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self’  is the Soul, which is present in the form of the conscusness,   they ready for the  inner journey towards the reality , which is beyond the form, time and space.

Upanishad:~ They alone in this world are endowed with the highest wisdom who are firm in their conviction of the sameness and birthlessness of Atman. The ordinary man does not understand their way. (Chapter IV — Alatasanti Prakarana 95-P-188 in Upanishads by Nikilanada)

If you are  seeking truth  you have  to know  the  ‘Self’ is not you but  the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

Sage Sri, Sankara says the world is an illusion, it includes birth, life and death, which happens within the world.  Thus, the  seekers main aim is to mentally trace the formless substance of the illusion, which is also the witness of the illusion.

Sage Sri Sankara, in Bhaja Govindam says: ~  (Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena) - One without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

Thus,  it proves that religion is not the means to ‘Self’-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana. Because Self’-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnan is universal knowledge ment for the humanity. Self’-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnan is does not belogs to any relgion.

On the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, whatever you have seen known and believed and experienced as a person becomes unreal (illusion). To realize the world in which you exist is an illusion you have to realize the fact that the ‘Self is not the ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul, the witness of the ‘I’. Unless you realize the Self as the Soul, you are all blinded by the dualistic illusion.
The experience of the birth, life, death and the world is  as a reality within the waking experience. The waking experience is a parallel dream and dream is a parallel waking experience. The waking experience is the dualistic illusion.

To overcome the dualistic illusion you have to get rid of the ignorance by realizing the Self, is not the ‘I’. until you hold the’ I’ as ‘Self’, the ignorance will not vanish. So, there is a need to realize ‘what is this ‘I’?

You must realize the fact that, the ‘I’   is not the ‘Self’, but the ‘Self’ is the formless Soul the Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Since ‘I’ is the inborn conditioning and it will not vanish by inquiring ‘Who AM ‘I’? Or just saying ‘I AM THAT’ the ignorance will not vanish. There is a need of deeper understanding of the nature of the ‘I’.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that, the world in which you exist, is a dualistic illusion created by the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. And thus the existence of the world in which you exist is negated, where is then any room to say that the ‘I’ is the Self.  Without the ‘I’ the world, in which you exist cease to exist.

The Soul is the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of the consciousness.  The Soul is the substance and witness of the dualistic illusion. The Soul is within the dualistic illusion and it is always apart from the dualistic illusion. The Soul is within the dualistic illusion as its formless substance and it is without the dualistic illusion as its witness. in reality the substance and witness of the illusion are one, in essence. That essence is the consciousness.  Thus, the Soul, the consciousness alone is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Upanishads: ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)

No one can teach anybody. The wisdom is hidden within the world in which you exist.  A Gnani can only show the way that much is the work of a Gnani. A Gnani   only guides the seekers to apply their own reason and realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. When the seeker learns to view and judge and reason the three states on the base of the Soul, the truth will start unfolding on its own.     First the seeker may find it difficult to use soulcentric reason but gradually it will become easy.

The ‘Self-inquiry’ is finding out the ‘Self’ which is hidden within the world, in which we exist. By inquiring ‘Who am I?’, the ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of the ignorance, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. Without the Advaitic wisdom, it is not possible to realize the truth, which is hidden within the world in which we exist.
That is why Sage Sri Sankara Says: ~ VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.
What is the use of saying ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what the ‘Self’ is in actuality. Without knowing the truth of the Self, without realizing the truth of the world in which you exist it is impossible to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space. By a mere utterance of the word ‘I AM THAT', the truth will not be revealed.

If one thinks Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth, then he has to drop all theories based on the ‘I’.***

Advaitic wisdom is soulcentric knowledge. It is difficult for people to understand soulcentric knowledge from the dualistic perspective. Our intelligence is based on the dualistic perspective thus; one has to learn to view and judge the worldview on nondualistic perspective. As one go on reading my blogs and posting gradually,  he will become soulcentric and will be able to view the worldview on the nondualistic perspective and he will be able to grasp the Advaitic truth.
If one thinks Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth, then he has to drop all theories based on the ‘I’. All the theories based on the ‘I’ are based on the dualistic perspective. How can one realize the nondualistic truth on the dualistic theories?

The ‘I’ hides the Advaita, which is the ultimate truth.  Thus, why glorify the ‘I’ which is the cause of the ignorance. The seeker has to make sure and accept only the uncontradictable truth.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes.” (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the whole.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why
Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such mindsets. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.

Advaita is not a theory.

Advaita is the nature of the truth.

Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the innermost Self.

Advaita is the Soul itself.

Advaita is the nature of God because Rigveda says the Soul itself is God.

Advaita is nothing but God.

When the world in which you exist e, is known to be the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, and thus the existence the world in which you exist is negated, where is then any room to say that the ‘I’ is the ‘Self?

The seeker of truth, pass his time always contemplating on Soul while he is in the dualistic illusion; to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The theory one hears of from the scripture, scholars and gurus that ignorance does not lose its hold upon one even after intellectually knowing the truth. One must realize the truth with a firm conviction that the Soul alone is real and eternal.

After acquiring the Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, ignorance verily ceases to exist, inasmuch as the world in which one exists become non-existent as a reality; just as a dream does not exist on waking as a reality.

Just as the dream world is superimposed (and, therefore, illusory), so is also this the waking world in which we exist.

The one which is born lives and dies within the world in which he exists is not the ‘Self’ because the ‘self’ is birthless and deathless because it is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence. The birth, life, and death are possible only in the domain of the form, time,  and space.  On the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, the form, time and space are mere an illusion. The Soul is unborn because it is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.  Thus, the individual experiences of the birth, life, death and the world are mere an illusion because it  happened within the dualistic illusion.

Thus, it is time to realize the world in which we exist is created out of the Soul, which is the innermost Self. The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness is the cause of the world in which we exist and it itself is uncaused. The Soul alone is real and eternal. The eternal Soul itself is God.  There is no other God other than the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

Realize the Soul, the innermost is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God. The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness itself, is God. The consciousness is the cause of the world in which you exist. And the consciousness itself is uncaused.

Thus, the truth realization itself is God realization because the ultimate truth is Brahman or God. The self-realization is God realization and God realization is real worship.

Nothing has to be accepted as God other than the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. Atman is Brahman means the Soul alone is God. Atman is Advaitic God.

The modern generation is more advanced which seeks to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.***

The Modern generation is more advanced and capable of reasoning and discriminating. Thus, the modern generation is more advanced which seeks to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.
It is high time for the orthodox highly educated noble Advaitins to realize their religious based the orthodox path was meant for the ignorant in the past therefore it is outdated not suited for the modern generation.
The right path for the modern generation is the path of the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sri, Sankara. The orthodox Advaita is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. Thus, getting stuck with the religious path is getting stuck with the dualistic illusion. Getting stuck with dualistic illusion is getting stuck with the falsehood. Getting stuck with the falsehood is accepting the illusory experience of birth, life, death and the world as a reality. Thus, the people who want freedom or Moksha right here, right now, that is, in this very life and in this very world must follow the path of wisdom.
The orthodoxy is the path of ignorance because it recognized the experience of birth, life, death and the world as a reality.
It is high time to stop judging who is right and who is wrong in this unreal world instead one has to spend the same time to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
As indicated in ISH Upanishads: - By worshipping Gods and Goddesses you will go after death to the world of gods and goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spent there is wasted, because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of gods and goddesses, you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into the darkness.
It clearly indicates that: If the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorifying the conceptual gods, goddesses and gurus to go into deeper darkness. Instead, spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal.

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad declares: "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10).

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, the world in which he exists as a reality.  For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and   space.

That is why Sage Sri, Sankara VC~.61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

VC-  v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not  even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Sage Sri, Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be experienced. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness  until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely a noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it, your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments.

It is also necessary for the foreigners to know why Ancient Vedic Religion or Santana Dharma is not present Hinduism if they are seeking truth in India.***

It is very much necessary for the foreigners to know why Ancient Vedic Religion or Santana Dharma is not present Hinduism if they are seeking truth in India.   India is the spiritual supermarket with diverse philosophy, theories, ideology, and yoga and beliefs. If they are not searching truth only attracted to Indian culture and tradition then choose their path whichever satisfies them. The path wisdom is Atmic path. Sage Sri, Sankara’s wisdom bifurcated from Advaitic orthodoxy is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.   The serious seeker must follow the Atmic path save their time and effort in their pursuit of truth.

Hinduism indulges  non-Vedic beliefs  such as idolatry, ancestor worship, pilgrimages, priestcraft, offerings made in temples, the caste system, untouchability and child marriages. All these lack Vedic sanction therefore Hinduism is not Ancient Vedic religion or Santana Dharma.

Hinduism is the museum of diverse belief and dogmas. Hinduism is not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana All Hindus indulge in non-Vedic practice barred by the Vedas introduced by the different founders of the different sects of Hinduism at different time, whereas the Vedic religion or Santana Dharma is ancient and has no founder.

Hinduism is not Santana Dharma or Vedic religion.  Hinduism is not a religion. Rather it is a group of religions found within India that share common beliefs while still remaining very different.

Hinduism it is not a religion but more a way of life. The term "Hinduism" is used for labelling the entire Indian people.

To be considered an orthodox Hindu one need only accept the authority of Shruti, however there is no universal agreement among Hindus what constitutes Shruti. Vedantins consider the Vedanta, i.e., the Upanishads as Shruti but also include the Bhagavad-Gita and Brahma Sutras as authoritative.

For some Vaishnavas the Bhagavata Purana is to be considered Veda. Some consider the Tantras are considered Veda. Thus, we find that there is ample scope for different philosophies and practices under the very broad umbrella of Hinduism.

When the religion of the Veda knows no idols then why so many gods and goddesses with different form and name are being propagated as Vedic gods. Why these conceptual gods are introduced when the Vedic concept of God is free from form and attributes.

The Vedas confirms God is Atman (spirit), the innermost Self.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”.
Rig Veda declares God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and   worship in place of real God.
Brihad Upanishad: ~ If you think there is another entity, whether man or God there is no truth."

When Upanishad itself declares: ~   Sarvam khalvidam brahma ~ all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality (Chandogya Upanishad).

Sage Sri, Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as It is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because description implies distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not the distinction of substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constitutes the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sri, Sankara is impersonal.
Someone has  introduced the concept of  personal Gods with attributes, but  Yajur Veda says: ~   those who worship visible things, born of the Prakriti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like), in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness. Therefore, all these add-ons prove  that the form and attribute based concepts are introduced by some sages of the past with a new belief system and code of conducts in the name of Vedas.

Thus, it proves that the Hinduism is nothing to do with the ancient Santana Dharma or Vedic religion.

The Hinduism does not consist in struggles and attempts to believe a certain doctrine or dogma. From the high spiritual flights of the Vedanta philosophy, of which the latest discoveries of science seem like echoes, to the low ideas of idolatry with its multifarious mythology, the agnosticism of the Buddhists, and the atheism of the Jains, each and all have a place in the Hinduism.

The vast ocean of Vedic religion or Santana Dharma was consistently steady and calm for a very long period. It appears that as a consequence of the rage of Buddhist revolution it got suddenly disturbed and flowed down to us in disorder. Even today Vedic religion or Santana Dharma has not recovered from the onslaught of Buddhism and Jainism and is not able to settle in people's heart in its original form in the same old measure.

That is why Swami Vivekananda:~ "The masses in India cry to sixty million gods and still die like dogs. Where are these gods?"  Swami Vivekananda   (Delivered In San Francisco, on May 28, 1900) -The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda/Volume 1/Lectures And Discourses/The Gita II

As indicated in ISH Upanishads: - By worshipping gods and goddesses you will go after death to the world of gods and goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spent there is wasted, because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of gods and goddesses, you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

It clearly indicates that: -If the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge then why one has to indulge in rituals and glorifying the conceptual gods, goddesses and gurus to go into deeper darkness. Instead   spend that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is one’s prime goal.

Since it is eternal and infinite, it comprises the only truth. The goal of Vedic religion, through the various yogas, is to realize that the consciousness (Atman) is actually nothing but Brahman.

The Vedic pantheon of gods is said, in the Vedas and Upanishads, to be only higher manifestations of Brahman. For this reason, "ekam sat" (all is one), and all is Brahman.

One must remember that for all periods the Vedas are the final goal and authority, and if the Puranas differ in any respect from the Vedas, that part of the Puranas is to be rejected without mercy.

If Hindus believe in one God, why do people worship so many Gods? There are 33,000,000 Gods and Goddesses in Hinduism.

It is very unfortunate that Hindus have started worshipping so many idols. In fact, Vedas specifically say that idols have not to be worshipped. Here are thd quotes from the principal Scriptures which say that Idols shouldn’t be worshipped.

Yajur Veda indicates that: ~  They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol etc. - (Yajurveda 40:9)

Those who worship visible things born of the Prakriti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow and suffer terribly for a long time."-(Yajur Veda 40:9.)

The Hindus believed in polytheism, believing all of their Gods to be separate individuals, which were introduced much later by the founders of Hinduism which contains diverse beliefs caste and creed.

When the religion of the Veda knows no idols then why so many gods and goddesses with different form and name are being propagated as Vedic Gods. Why these conceptual gods are introduced when the Vedic concept of God is free from form and attributes.

Vedic religion was modified and reintroduced with new add-ons   by Sage  Sri, Sankara a great Advaita Master to uplift the Vedic culture and Santana Dharma,  which were in ruins in the clutches of Buddhism. 18 Puranas are introduced in the name of Veda Vyasa not by Sri, Sankara but someone else because the Puranic gods are non-Vedic Gods. Worship of Such gods is barred Vedas.

As one goes deeper in the annals of the history, it indicates the fact that somewhere someone has added the Puranas in the name of Veda Vyasa the grand master of Vedas. It is impossible to accept and believe that Veda Vyasa authored and introduced Puranas which have all conceptual gods because ~

The Buddhist influence is seen in a great measure in the Vedic philosophy which is followed by the majority of Indians. Thus, it is clear that Vedic religion or Santana Dharma has not retained its original form but been influenced by other religions has undergone a sea change. Thus, the influence of Buddhism on Santana Dharma is extraordinary. Even Kumarila Bhatta, who fought with great heroism for the revival of Santana Dharma or Vedic religion, was so much influenced by Buddhism that he established for the first time in the country, an atheist Vedic religion or Santana Dharma. There is no room for any doubt to assert that the Kumarila Bhatta School was influenced by the atheist Buddhism because the school which is based on the validity of the Vedas and rituals refutes the existence of God.

Sage Sri Sankara endeavoured towards establishing Vedic religion overthrowing Buddhism. But even he was not able to avoid the influence of Buddhism. The influence of the revolutionary atmosphere of Buddhism has reappeared in the Advaita of Sage Sri, Sankara. His inability to revive Vedic religion that flourished before the Buddhist revolution in its pure form is discernible.

Many thinkers since his time have said about Sage Sri Sankara that he made use of many important tenets of Buddhism and presented to the people the very Buddhism in the guise of Santana Dharma or Vedic religion. Though the Santana Dharma or Vedic religion represented by Sage Sri, Sankara is like a conglomeration of many things he deserves the credit of having turned the Hindu mind which was once averse to Vedas -the root of Hinduism, towards the Vedas once again. For this, the followers of Santana Dharma or Vedic Religion should be grateful to Sage Sri Sankara

The brilliance shown by Sage Sri Sankara, a man of wonderful genius, a matchless speaker and an extraordinary dialectician is really a great spectacle in history. In his time, there was a severe conflict between Buddhism and the atheist Santana Dharma or Vedic religion of Kumarila Bhatta. Utilizing this opportunity Sage Sri Sankara intervened in the conflict and making use of some concepts and methodology of both the Kumarila Bhatta School and Buddhism presented a new coalition religion before people.

Sage Sri, Sankara gave an extraordinary charisma to this religion with the help of his methods of logic and style of exposition. Its influence was so much that both the Bhatta School and Buddhism had to flee from India without leaving a trace. The absence, even today, of a single follower of the Kumarila Bhatta School as well as of Buddhism, is a proof enough for the great achievement of Sage Sri Sankara. This indeed is a historical miracle.

One can see in the Santana Dharma or Vedic religion expounded by Sri Sankara a different version of the Kumarila Bhatta School and Buddhism. That is why the tradition of following Kumarila Bhatta methodology in expounding the Advaita thought at the empirical level gained ground in the Advaita School. Different types of the methodology of Buddhism were absorbed into the Advaita thought, of course, under new labels. There is a very clear similarity between the Vedic religion of Sage Sri Sankara and Buddhism and the Advaita School have given the world a common message. The essence of both the schools is:-

The entire world which man perceives is illusionary; it is just an appearance of unreality and there is only one indeterminate and attributeless Sat at the root of this world".

The term Hindu religion is totally a new name which cannot be found in any Indian literature prior to 1794 A.D. Out of the five Indian religions of Buddhism, Jainism, Saivism, Vaishnavism and Sikhism; Saivism and Vaishnavism were brought under the Varnashrama principle.

After naming the discriminating principle of casteism of Manu Dharma as Hinduism, the religions of Saivism and Vaishnavism, which were enslaved to the caste discriminating principles, were given a new name as ‘Hinduism’! Thus, Hindu religion is different from Santana Dharma or Vedic religion.

The term Hinduism came into existence in British rule. Hinduism is caste discriminating principle of Varnashrama Dharma based on of the Book of Manu.

After 1750 A.D., Europeans captured certain parts of India and started ruling those areas. The capital of the then British India was Calcutta the present day Kolkata.

The Britishers were duty bound to administer justice to the people living within their dominion. Thus, they set up courts of justice. They needed laws to administer justice through the courts.

To administer justice to the Christian citizens of India living within their dominion, there was Christian Law, based on Biblical principles.

To administer justice to the Muslim citizens of India living within their dominion, there was Islamic Law, based on Quranic principles. But to administer justice to non-Christian and non-Islamic citizens living in British dominion, there was no law book. This created problems for the Britishers.
As we peep into the annals of religious history of India we find that Santana Dharma or Vedic religion was not the religion of the Hindus: ~
Every one of the great religions in the world, excepting our own, is built upon such historical characters; but ours rests upon principles. There is no man or woman who can claim to have created the Vedas. They are the embodiment of eternal principles; sages discovered them
Santana Dharma or Vedic religion was not the religion of the Hindus, nor were the Vedic people Hindus, nor will the Hindus of today approve the replacement of the term ‘Hinduism’ with Santana Dharma or Vedic Religion. None can say exactly when the Aryans became Hindus because neither the name Hindu nor its major beliefs and practices existed in the Vedic times.
To this one must add the marginal place the Vedic gods occupy in today’s Hindu pantheon. In addition, as we have seen, the Vedas themselves are not attractive to most of today’s Hindus as sacred texts. The Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad-Gita, Puranas and Manusmriti, may have more to do with the Hinduism of today than the Vedas.
Thus, it is clear that there is no direct ancestry of modern Hinduism traceable in the Vedas, though it does have some influence on it “The Vedic corpus reflects the archetypal religion of those who called themselves Aryas, and which, although it contributed to facets of latter day Hinduism, was nevertheless distinct”.
In British Raj, Sir William Jones was appointed as the chief justice of the Supreme Court at Calcutta. Local pundits made Sir William Jones believe that the book of Manu was the law book for the people of India.
Sir William Jones believed pundits and translated the book of Manu from Sanskrit to English. Thus, on the basis of the laws of Manu, a law was formed for administering justice to non-Christian and non-Muslim Indians of the British dominion and this law was called as the Hindu law.
The principles of the book of Manu which was used for drafting the Hindu Law were called as Hinduism. The basic principle of the book of Manu is caste discrimination.
The name coined by Sir William Jones to denote caste discriminating principles is Hinduism. It is not a religion. It is a way of Life. It is the way of life of the Indus people.
In this, a historic false perception crept in. That is, when they called the terms Christian Law, Muslim law and Hindu Law, both Christian Law and Muslim Law were associated with the Christian religion and Islamic religion. But in respect of Hindu Law, a false perception of religion was wrongly attributed to it as if it was also associated with a ‘Hindu religion’ which was not there.
This false perception developed a false notion that non-Christian and non-Muslim Indian of the British dominion was belonging to the Hindu religion.
Indians populace wrongly believes that the Hinduism is an   ancient religion because they are unaware of the fact that Hinduism is not the Santana Dharma or Vedic religion. The people in India believe in Varnashrama Dharma or caste discrimination.
The people of   India have to liberate from the stranglehold of casteism to realize their original religion is not Hinduism which is full of different caste and creeds but the Santana Dharma or Vedic religion. The people should be educated about the historic truth of the religion of the Santana Dharma or Vedic religion.
Out of the five Indian religions, since Saivism and Vaishnavism were already enslaved to Varnashrama Dharma i.e. caste discrimination.  The people of India began to use the newly originated common name of Hinduism’ to denote Saivism and Vaishnavism. The context and substance of the term Hinduism; coined by Sir William Jones is different from the context and substance of this term ‘Hindu religion’, which was substituted erroneously and used by the people to denote Saivism and Vaishnavism.
