God in truth is only Atman, the Self.+*****




Upanishad:~ They alone in this world are endowed with the highest wisdom who are firm in their conviction of the sameness and birthlessness of Ataman. The ordinary man does not understand their way. (Chapter IV — Alatasanti Prakarana 95-P-188 in Upanishads by Nikilanada)


Religious  Gods are mere belief. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul the world in which you exist ceases to exist, it means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence.
Even The Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness a God. 
Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad~ Brahman (God) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad declares: "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)"(1. 4. 10)

 No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, the world in which he exists as a reality.  For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.

That is why Sage Sri, Sankara VC~.61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

VC-  v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not  even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together.

Sage Sri, Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be experienced. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it, your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments. 

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know me in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self.   In reality,  there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists. :~Santthosh Kumaar

One should not accept any belief, philosophies or theories as truth without verification.  If one says it may be true, then he is only imagining. The seeker must go as far as he can, never stop at a doubt; he should not get disheartened by it.  The seeker has to try to overcome all the doubts and confusions. The seeker should not kill it without verifying. Let the entire doubts sprout, but the seeker must try to overcome them fearlessly until he reaches the ultimate truth.

The belief system preaches that God is one and the ways to God are many. It simply tries to lead them to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which is apart from the ‘Self’.

If one says he has not seen Gods' face. If he says that he did this or went there, it will only be his imagination. This applies to all learned theorists.

That is why Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (our true Advaita wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into the truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

In Gita Chap.IV where Lord Krishna says:~ "This yoga has been lost for ages" the word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas: the force of the word this is to point this out.
Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana Yoga. So one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost. That is why Krishna calls it "the supreme secret." Krishna points out that the yogi must-see "Brahman in action."

Gita Chap.IV: "He who achieves perfection in Yoga finds the ‘Self’ in time." This means that after his yoga is finished, he begins the inquiry into ultimate truth and in due course this inquiry produces the realization of the universal spirit as the result.

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, the world in which he exists as a reality.  For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Advaita is not a theory based on religious doctrine.   Advaita is an inner revolution.  Advaita is not entertainment to please different mindset.

Sage Sri, Sankara’s wisdom is the beautiful and uncontradictable ultimate truth.  The seeker has to penetrate as deeply as possible to unfold the mystery of his true existence. It will be difficult to find a Brahma Gnani like Sage Sri, Sankara.

Advaitic wisdom will not touch the ignorant populace.  Advaitic wisdom can reach the core of serious and sincere seekers.   The seeker needs some different approaches, which is free from religious Gurus, religion, scriptures theories, and yoga. Unless the words of wisdom touch the inner core the truth will not be revealed.

The so-called ‘Self’-declared Gurus of the east and west can go on repeating the Advaita parrot-like, ornamental words ~ they don't mean anything. Whatever the Gurus are saying of the Advaita is on the dualistic perspective.   Their knowledge is skin deep.   They may be great Gurus or yogis, but they are not Gnanis. 

Some thinkers who come very close, almost on the boundary line of Advaita, and stops there and start propagating love and repeating the names of  God. Perhaps they are afraid that if they talk about Advaita because they have an only superficial knowledge of Advaita gathered from different sources.


There is no need to talk against the religion and criticize against yoga, and against the scriptures against the Atheists because they all are part and parcel of the dualistic illusion. By condemning criticizing the ignorance will not vanish. There is only need to realize, the religion, yoga, and scriptural mastery are not the means to acquire the ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana.

Advaita means the Soul, the innermost Self, which is second to none. The Soul, which is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God. Advaita is the nature of God, the innermost Self. Advaita is God. Advaita is the fullness of consciousness.:~Santthosh Kumaar 
 




The Self, which is hidden by Maya.+*****





Chandogya Upanishad:~ sarvam khalvidam Brahma - all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality. 

As soon as word "mind" is uttered people think “the mind of an individual", whereas the mind appears as a whole waking or dream(duality) disappears as deep sleep(non-duality). The body and the world are within the mind.  Thus individual and individual experiences are happenings within the mind.

 Witness means which is aware of the appearance and disappearance of the three states.” This is an important and vital difference. The mind appears to the witness, which is the formless soul.  The soul is in the form of consciousness. The soul is also the substance of the mind. 

 Illusion means which appears to be a reality but by close examination one becomes the unreal nature of the mind, which appears as the universe, and becomes aware of the substance from which it is created of.

There is always confusion and there is no clarity about the truth when one considers the waking entity as the Self. Therefore, the self cannot be that, because on the base of the Soul, is the true self there is no confusion and always clarity.

When the mind appears all confusion and doubts arise and when mind disappears all will the doubts and confusion will vanish.  Then what is that is aware of appearance disappearance of the mind? The physical existence(man + universe) is limited to mind, and it is mind.  Therefore, mind is limited to physical existence.

One cannot make the mind clear; without understanding the formless substance from which the mind is made.  The nature of the mind is diversity. Thus understanding the mind is necessary to understand and assimilate the ultimate truth.

Sri, Sankara says:-  VC-63 _Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.


65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.


Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, which is a part of Vedas says:-Brahman or God is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself. 

The mind is merely an illusion. If one never verifies the facts about the mind than he will remain ignorant about the facts about what is mind.  Without verifying the fact about the mind one keeps experiencing the duality as reality. 

When the illusion is taken as reality all the judgments will be based on the waking entity, which is false self, within the false experience, thus all conclusions will be based on the intellectual speculations; therefore one will not be able to understand and assimilate the ultimate truth. 

Whatever has appeared universe has appeared on its own and it disappears on its own.  Whether a person takes it as reality or illusion it all depends on his mental and intellectual conditions will determine the phenomenal world observed and experienced. 

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. A Gnani viewing the universe (practical life within the practical world) different from the ignorant is viewing the same universe (practical life within the practical world). Each one of them interprets the universe he sees in term of his existing knowledge.   The Gnani sees his body, his ego and his experience of the world as merely an illusion created out of consciousness whereas the ignorant sees his body as body, his ego as ego and his experience of the world as world. 


Thus experiencing the pain and pleasure within the illusion with the illusory self, within the illusory experience, has to be an illusion. The illusion is created and sustained and finally dissolves as consciousness, which is the  Self.  Since there is no second thing other than the consciousness (soul); the consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman.   

The one who has realized this truth for him this illusion is passing show because he is fully aware of the fact that his body, his ego, and his experience of the world to be consciousness. Practical peoples approach is more practical, and they are stuck with the reality of the practical life within the practical world, they take it as real whereas for Gnani has the firm conviction that:-


Formless Soul or Consciousness is the witness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence.

What is not consciousness (formless) in the experience of diversity (universe or waking)?  The waking and the dream cease to exist without consciousness.  The seeker, seeking and his destination all are one in essence. 

Due to ignorance, the illusion is experienced as reality. The illusion is present in the form of ‘I’ or mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.   The three states are one in essence and that essence is consciousness. The  Soul or consciousness is the Self. On the standpoint of the Soul, the  Self, the three states are illusory.


Thus experiencing the birth, life, death and the world within the illusion (waking or universe) with the illusory self (waking entity or ego), within the illusory experience (waking),  bound to be an illusion.



The illusion is created and sustained and finally dissolves as Soul or consciousness, which is the  Self.  Since there is no second thing other than the consciousness (soul); the consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Only when one investigates the mind through deeper self-search than he will be able to transcend the mind. The clarity comes only when he knows the mind is not within the body but man and the universe are within the mind.  

There is not such a thing as a mind in the realm of truth; never has been and never will be. Mind means the illusion, in which the whole universe with all its contents exists. When there is no mind there is no illusion.:~Santthosh Kumaar
