One has to understand the fact that, there is no alleviation of sufferings of mankind except the ultimate Truth.

The fear and suffering is often a cause of bringing people to the pursuit of truth.  Because of contradictory arguments and conflicting conclusions—people mistook Religions for spirituality.  Many People think that ultimate truth cannot be got, but they are mistaken.  Religion will give one the goal of non-dualistic truth, i.e. the knowledge of everything. Religion may make one happy, give satisfaction, but that is another matter, but one cannot get rid of his ignorance through religion. Therefore one must make his mind clear as to what object or goal he wants in life, because he cannot travel in opposite directions.

One has to understand the fact that, there is no alleviation of sufferings of mankind except the ultimate Truth. Know the truth and that truth sets one free from experiencing untruth as truth.  Yoga may alleviate one's physical  troubles. The thing is to know the truth that  the world is unreal. The birth, life and death takes place within the world also is unreal, because the world itself is unreal.  Thus, all the pleasure and pain mankind suffers within the world is also unreal, on the base of ultimate standpoint.
By shutting oneself in a cave shutting himself from the world does not yield truth. Such venture  leads to insanity and fixed ideas or delusions.
The world facing one  has to be analyzed.  The chief purpose of analyzing the external world is to discover that it is part of the ultimate reality, and thus to enable us to carry on with activity from the highest possible viewpoint; where people fail to make this analysis, as with so many religious-minded seekers, they fail to do anything worthwhile in the physical  world.
To effect this discrimination, one needs an intelligence much sharper than the average, whereas too much religion and not a little mysticism drugs this intelligence. The highest state is to be the “Whole”—seeker should not to shut his eyes to the world and to go off into the deep sleep or Samadhi.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is knowledge of undifferentiated Reality.  Self-knowledge is difficult to understand even with the help of the gurus or various Scriptures or gurus because it is the knowledge of the innermost self. The seeker has to ascertain and realize on his own.
Self-Awareness means becoming aware of with formless non-dual Consciousness, which is the innermost Self. Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana clears all the cobwebs of doubts and confusion and frees one from   absolutely from all concepts.
When one scrutinizes mind, which is in the form of universe he realizes that, it does not really exist and the mind or universe is mere mirage created out the undifferentiated consciousness, which is the innermost self. When the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana becomes firm with the conviction by cling to the truth, one is able discard the untruth mentally than the ignorance vanishes and the mind becomes one with the source, from where it used to rise and subside as waking or dream. The consciousness is the formless substance, witness and the source of the mind or universe. Thus the formless substance, witness and the source are one in essence and that essence is consciousness.  Thus consciousness is Absolute Reality or Brahman.
In self-awareness the mind abides as consciousness then there is no duality which is in the form of the mind or universe. When the mind or universe is absorbed in consciousness, and then is no trace of reality in the experience of the duality or waking experience.
In the midst of waking one becomes aware of the fact that his body is not the body his ego is not ego his world is not world but they too are consciousness. Therefore there is no scope for second thing other than consciousness.

One cannot prove positively that consciousness(soul) has vanished in sleep.

One cannot prove positively that consciousness(soul) has vanished in sleep. One can only show it negatively. For one cannot know the limits of consciousness(soul): one cannot posit where it starts, stops, vanishes etc. This is what intellectuals do not understand. The word consciousness includes non-dual states like sleep, whereas intellectuals use it only for states of duality (waking or dream). Intellectuals do not grasp that consciousness can remain without objects, as in sleep, and yet be conscious still; this is "content -less or experience -less consciousness."

Dream shows that a second object can be present (duality) and yet one know later it was not really so. Similarly in waking one’s sense of duality is a delusion.

They object that there is nothing in deep sleep. The term nothing indicates the existence of a thing to start with, therefore non-existence implies existence. Nothing must have a meaning, i.e. an experience and if one had not seen there was a waking world he could not negate it in sleep. Waking and sleep go together; one is not possible without the other.

One gets deep sleep even in the waking experience. It comes during interval between two experiences, when one goes and the other appears. Hence non-existence of consciousness in deep sleep is wrong. It is like the waves disappearing but their substance or essence, water, remains.

Because one is not aware of any other things in deep sleep, he has to admit that every idea both internal and external has merged into the soul during sleep as undifferentiated consciousness.

Dream also is a waking experience to the dreamer.  When one gets up he has another waking experience. Strictly speaking, he has a succession of "waking experiences."

The illusions of dream disappear when waking takes place then they are seen to be unreal. Similarly the illusions of waking also disappear when the non dual wisdom dawns and it is seen as equally unreal. The objects, persons, and talks of both experiences are all illusion. The next step is to know the nature of all these experiences are only the mental. All names and forms are imaginary, but soul, the innermost  self always there, whether one sees them or not.

One imagines the waking world and then imagines the dream world and then proceeds to find the former as the cause of the latter. This is mere delusion. Dream experience also appeared spontaneously, same way as waking experience.

Those few who never dream cannot apply the spiritualistic analogous to it, nor the Gnani-test of feeling himself the All in dream! However this does not matter, for they can still apply the latter test to waking only but they are unfortunate in missing the former illustration; this will not prevent realization through.

The three states come and go, impermanent and therefore have no value from the standpoint of the formless witness, all yogic visions and astral travel  likewise come and go, and are valueless.

They are but illusion, as the light seen by yogis and mystics, and the astral world experience quite genuine but of no value on the standpoint of truth.

Modern Science is the highest teaching in the world of duality. Spirituality has its roots in the same world, but ultimately leads to non-duality.

Truth  means never taking anything to be true without proper proof. It does not mean an accumulation of certain external observations of objects. It is an attitude, an outlook, a method. The truth  must be based on verification through  inquiry, analysis and reasoning. But seeker has to cultivate  the attitude of getting  proof by  using reason.
Modern Science rules the world. It offers something of practical value to the practical life within the practical world.
To stick to what one  considers is real, and not because it is true, is perversity. Unless it is proved to be true, one should not accept it.  He who knows that ultimate truth  which can be grasped by reason, study, he moves not from truth. Reason based on the true self  is  means to reality.
Some conceited pundits  say reason cannot grasp the Self: it  is formless. True it is unattainable to those who are not receptive , who have not inquired analyzed and reasoned, but it possible  for those who have are receptive and courage to accept the truth  and reject the untruth after verification of the facts.  Seeker has to  reflect over it all again and again  until his conviction of the true self becomes firm.
Attaining perfection of Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the goal of the truth seeker . Religion and  Yoga  are  not the means to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana . Only soul-centric  reason  takes the mind towards the source from where it has been erupted.
The greatest weakness of the yogi is to think what has given me peace is true. The yogi lulls the senses into blissful slumber, renders truth impossible. He has to be awakened! Yoga takes one away from the path of truth.
Yogic Samadhi-bliss or the  sexual  pleasure are not the means to acquire  ultimate truth or Brahman because they are practiced on the false self(ego or waking entity)  within the false experience(waking). When the self is not form but self is formless soul than how yoga and sex can yield truth.
If one holds the waking entity as self   it is impossible to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.   Seeker should by effort be drawn back  his attention of the formless substance witness of the three states,  that alone yields ultimate truth or Brahman .
Modern Science is the highest teaching in the world of duality. Spirituality  has its roots in the same world, but ultimately leads to non-duality.

Proving a follower of one religion wrong does not make a follower of another religion better

Proving a one religion wrong does not make another better. Proving a follower of one religion wrong does not make a follower of another religion better. All religions have their own flaws. We have to admit it.

One has to find out within for himself by following any religion whether he has become better human being, more peaceful, more tolerant, and more spiritual. If not, by vomiting our venom against others religion shows where we really stand and how far away we are from the Ultimate reality or Brahman.
One has to remember, the Truth or God or whatever one may want to call is independent of religions and independent of what every one of us think about it.  When one has little glimpse of the ultimate reality or truth and he   will  become aware of the fact  that, in the realm of truth the experience of diversity (duality) is mere illusion.

Seeker of truth has to think about it. A Gnani does not belongs to any religion or  sect.  For him the three states are just a passing show. Thus the godly business such as prayer, worship, glorifying is mere illusion within the duality. For a Gnani the ultimate truth is god. The ultimate truth is soul or consciousness or spirit . The spirit  is the true self.
The insight from holy Koran declared: ANAL HAQ-- I am the truth -- spiritual meaning is the self is the ultimate truth. [Self is not ‘I’ but the soul/spirit].
Insights from Bhagvada Gita says: Ahum Bramasmi –I am Brahman- spiritual meaning is: the Self is Brahman (Sri,Sankara says Atman is Brahman) Spiritual meaning is Self is Brahman  – that means Atman or soul is Brahman.
Insight from bible says: My spirit is the Father.  The Father and I are one.  The Father can do anything." – Spiritual –meaning - the spirit the soul – the soul is the self – the soul and mind (I) are one in essence.
Seeker of truth has realize the fact that all the spiritual insights of all religion direct to the soul ,the innermost self. The formless soul is in the form of consciousness. Soul or consciousness  which is the formless substance and witness of the  three states, which comes and goes. In reality the formless  substance and witness of the three states are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Thus consciousness(soul) alone is real and all else is mere illusion created out of consciousness. Thus there is no second thing exists other than consciousness .

Consciousness is the innermost Self. Consciousness is within this universe but it is not of this universe. It is in this universe, but not of this universe means it is the formless substance and witness of the universe, which is in the form of the mind (I). The mind (I) appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep. The self who is in the form of consciousness is the formless knower of the mind, which comes and goes.   Consciousness is above; it is transcendental to all the miseries, which are inevitable in this illusory universe.  Therefore, there is a need to realize the fact that, the mind, which is in the form of universe is mere mirage created out consciousness.   Thus, the birth, life, death and world are mere mirage on the stand point of the consciousness, which is the true self. Only on the base of physical self the universe is reality.  Thus the Self is within the universe but it is without the universe.

Only a Gnani alone can actually create the awareness of the truth. He can enliven and illuminate others to get out of this ignorance by being transcendental to the illusory birth, life, death and the universe. Gnani tries to guide the seekers get rid of the inherited ignorance and, rise above the egocentric concepts, be in this universe, but not of this universe, be in tune with the consciousness, which is his  true identity and the ultimate truth.

The soul is one.

The Soul  is one. The soul is present  in the form of  consciousness. People  think there are many souls and they  remains in ignorance. Ignorance makes one believe the experience of birth, life  death and world  as reality.  The experience of birth, life  death and world is present in the form of waking experience. the whole universe along with its contents are created out of single stuff. And that stuff is formless soul. the soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Deeper self-search revels the fact that, The soul(consciousness) ,body and world are one in essence therefore no second thing exists other than soul , which is in the form of consciousness.  Thus realizing all the three states as consciousness leads to self-awareness.

Soul or consciousness is our innermost self is the witness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence.

What is not consciousness (formless) in the experience of diversity (waking)?  The waking and the dream cease to exist without consciousness.  The seeker, seeking and his destination   all are one in essence.

All agendas are within the illusion, which appears in the form of mind or universe or waking experience. The self is within the illusion as its formless substance and it is without the illusion as its formless witness. The formless witness is the one which witnesses the body and universe together.  Thus the ordinary awareness is physical awareness (waking) is not self-awareness.  In self-awareness the body is not the body but it is the consciousness, the ego is not ego but it is the consciousness, the world is not the world but it is the consciousness even though they exist but their unreal nature is exposed.
Self-Knowledge  or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is necessary to know the fact that, the universe, which appears is in the form of mind and disappears as nothingness (formless) is mere mirage created out of  formless soul.
Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Thus the consciousness is the source and witness of the universe or mind, which comes and goes. Thus it is necessary to know the formless witness of the three states in order to know the fact that, the true self is apart and free from the mirage ,which is in the form of birth, life, death and the universe. Therefore, it is necessary for the seeker to make sure how the three states are mirage.

Sri, Sankara declared:The world is unreal. He never said body is unreal. He would have said only birth and death is   unreal, he did not say that, he said the world is unreal.   He meant   the world including the body, because the body and world appear together and disappear together [waking/dream].  Then we have to conclude, what remain without the body and the world as reality.

How can the birth, karma, death, rebirth, and reincarnation, which take place in unreal world (waking or dream), can be true.   The one, which is aware of the birth, life death, rebirth and reincarnation (illusion/unreal), is formless soul, the innermost  self.  The formless soul, the innermost  self is  our true identity, which is birthless and deathless but it is the witness of the illusory  experience of  birth, life and death and rebirth (illusion/unreal).

On the standpoint of true identity the birth, life, death, rebirth and reincarnation theory is part of the illusion(unreal).  The body cannot reincarnate, the body and the world are created out of the same formless stuff. Until one views and judges on the base of flesh, bone and blood (five elements), he will not be able to grasp the non-dual truth.  Thus, one must know on what standpoint, we are not born and we do not die thoroughly, just by hearsay views, it will not lead anyone to the non-dual destination.

Gaudapada’s rational exposition of Advaita: - that whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.
