True freedom is the freedom from experiencing duality as reality. To reach that freedom requires real courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth, when one becomes aware of the fact that, the physical existence is mere mirage. Since man is bound by so much the personal, political, economic, social, and religious powers surrounding him. Man is in bondage and he is dependent on them in practical life within the practical world in one way or the other. This bondage makes his prisoner of physicality and he accepts the duality as reality and bases himself on the cycle of birth, life and death, and fails to identify his true identity is not physical, but the spirit(soul or consciousness).
The spiritual truth that leads to freedom, is the truth that we belong not to the world but to the spirit. Through deeper self-search , one becomes aware of the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self is formless soul ,which witnesses the coming and going of the three states without the physical apparatus. By reflecting constantly on the soul ,which is the formless substance and witness of the three states, one will gradually get freedom from experiencing the illusion(waking) as reality.
One becomes forever free when he renounce the ignorance and breaks away from the physical prison of "I," "me," and "mine" to be united with the soul. This is the ultimate truth. Seeker has to attain this, and pass from illusory death to immortality.
The whole universe in which the physical self is present is just an illusion, unless one realize this truth and he will remain in duality, by holding the object as subject in forgetfulness of the real subject he will remain in duality and judging the truth on the base of imagination and speculation and intellectuality.
Seeing through the physical eyes one becomes blind to the truth, which is hidden in the illusion, which he is experiencing it as reality. If one effectively understands the fact that, the self is not physical but it is the soul or spirit this, he will become free from experiencing the illusion as reality. If he doesn’t understand this fact, then he will remain ignorant of the true self and experiences the birth, life and death as reality.
