The self cannot be experienced because it exists prior to any experience.

Many people think they have experienced the self.  But if anyone has experienced the self, than he is in hallucination.  The self cannot be experienced because it exists  prior to any experience. All the experiences are possible only within the illusion because the duality is present only in illusion. In reality there is only non-dual  self awareness.  There is no second thing exist other than consciousness.  Thus self cannot be realized through physical effort. All the physical based effort will not yield any fruits. Pursuit of truth is purely mental journey thus it is only mental effort of understanding, assimilating and realizing it.

People are stuck with there accumulated knowledge and they make it a yardstick and try to snub others without verifying  the facts.  They think they gain wisdom through arguments and logical conclusion and intellectual speculation.  They are dependent on the mental spoon feeding of the stale knowledge expounded by others.  They do not have spirit of verifying the fact but they have mastered the art of snubbing others. Such people reach nowhere, they are like stagnant water in dirty pond.

Serious Seekers have  to avoid  discussing with such group where they discuss all sorts of subject of practical world,  It is waste of time discuss and argue with them. The subject of  ultimate truth is nothing to do with the practical world.  The pursuit of truth is for  to discover and realize the reality of our true existence.    Thus the discussion has to be focused only on realizing the true self.
The consciousness is true self . Consciousness is ultimate truth. If one thinks: I know Consciousness well," then surely he knows but little of its form; he knows only its form as conditioned by man or by the concept of gods. Therefore, Consciousness has to be grasped through inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base.
Consciousness is not known by those who know it; it is known by those who do not know it.  That is when one says he knows Consciousness; he is saying it as a person. The Consciousness cannot be applied only to the individuality but to the whole experience [three states]. But in reality the person and world created out of Consciousness, thus nothing exits other then Consciousness. Thus if one says he knows Consciousness as a person, he is making a wrong statement. One must know Consciousness as the formless clay of the three states [whole].
Consciousness is known when it is realized in every state of mind; for by such Knowledge one attains Immortality. By Consciousness one obtains strength; by Knowledge, Immortality
If a man knows Consciousness  as self here, he then attains the non dual goal of his mission. If he does not know it here, he remains ignorance experiencing the cycle of birth, life and death as reality. Having realized the Self in everything and every being, the Gnani relinquish the world and become immortal.

In illusion the self is in burden and bondage. In reality it is free from all burden and bondage.

In illusion the self is in burden and bondage. In reality it is free from all burden and bondage. One cannot understand what is truth, because of the physical awareness. One when one becomes aware of the fact that the physical existence is mere mirage through wisdom one becomes aware of the fact that there is no second thing exists other than the soul, which is in the form of  consciousness. Thus consciousness alone is real and all else is mere mirage created out of consciousness.
Consciousness the true Self is hidden and pervades in everything and everywhere in the three states as their formless substance and witness; but it is seen by Gnanis through their one—pointed and subtle intellects.
seeker should understand the fact that, all the  experiences of the three states  are created out of Consciousness.
Seeker has to arise! awake and learn to know the fact that, the experience of  duality [waking/dream] is created out of Consciousness, without understanding this fact , there is no unity in diversity. The path of truth is like the sharp edge of a razor, so it is hard to tread and difficult to cross without perfect understanding and without perfect reasoning.
Having realized Consciousness as self , which is soundless, intangible, formless, undecaying and likewise tasteless, eternal and odourless; having realized that which is without beginning and end, beyond and unchanging—one is freed from experiencing the duality as reality.
It is through Consciousness that one perceives all objects in sleep or in the waking state. Having realized the vast, all—pervading Consciousness, one enters into non dual tranquility.
He who knows the soul as true self, the formless  witness  of  the three states, as Consciousness, free from experiencing the  past ,present and the future as reality.
True self  is undistorted Consciousness. One who meditates on Consciousness alone  is free from experiencing the pain and pleasure as reality, liberated from the bonds of ignorance; he becomes free from experiencing the diversity as reality.
The soul,  which is in the form of consciousness when identifies with the body and  the universe dwelling in it by experiencing the duality as reality. If it is torn away from the body and the universe  , is freed from it, what then remains?  Whatever prevails is the true self, which  non dual Consciousness.
The soul, which remains awake and   witnesses all the three states which comes an goes in succession .   Soul  indeed is the pure awareness without the body and the universe it  alone is called the Immortal. All three states are contained in Consciousness and none can pass beyond.

Self- Knowledge cannot be attained if the reasoning is based on the ‘I’

Many people are not even aware what is soul; though knowing of it, many do not comprehend. Only few expound the knowledge of the soul, which is in the form of  Consciousness and very rare assimilate and realize it.  It is all because of their inherited physical conditioning.
When self  is conditioned to think itself as body with the name the ignorance is born.  Due to ignorance one has the conviction that he is an individual separate from the world and world existed prior to him and he is born in it later on. Until this conviction is there his reasoning faculty is based on the ego as self.  Until ego is considered as self the experience of birth, life, death and the world is experienced as reality.  If  the birth, life, death and world is experienced as reality then the form, time and space is experienced as reality.  If the form, time and space is experienced as reality than the universe will prevail as reality. If universe prevail as reality than the three states are experienced as reality. If the three states are experienced as reality than the duality will prevail as reality. If duality prevails as reality than the illusion will be accepted as reality.  Thus there is a need for perfect understanding ‘what is reality’  and ‘what is illusion in order to assimilate non-dual truth.
There is a need to dismantle the inherited physical structure mentally to overcome the duality. The whole physical structure is built on the foundation of the ‘I’. Since they think the ‘I’ as self, it becomes difficult to grasp and assimilate and realize the non dual truth.
The ‘I’, appears and disappears as mind [waking/dream] is impermanent, hence it is not the self. The formless knower of the ‘I’ [waking/dream] is the true self. Since people think whatever is propagated by the guru/yogi as ultimate truth and blindly accept it as truth, without verifying the validity of their preaching. This blind acceptance becomes a big hindrance in pursuit of truth. If one is seeking truth, one has to verify the validity of any claim through inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base, and accept only un -contradictable truth.
Self-knowledge when taught by an unqualified person is not easily comprehended, because it is diversely regarded by disputants. But when it is taught by a Gnani , there can remain no more doubt about It. Consciousness is subtler than the subtlest and not to be known through argument.
Self- Knowledge cannot be attained if the  reasoning is  based on the ‘I’ [physical based]. the reasoning base has to be rectified mentally from form[I] to formless[Soul].  Consciousness becomes easy of comprehension, when  one indulges in self-search. One has to attain self- Knowledge right now in this very life not in next world or next life.
Gnani, by means of concentration on the true Self, realizes that ancient, effulgent hidden and which dwells and pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states as its formless substance and witness.
The knowing the true Self is not born; It does not die. It has not sprung from anything; nothing has sprung from It. Birthless, eternal, everlasting and ancient, it is not killed when the body is killed or when the world disappears.  If the murderer thinks he kills and if the killed man thinks he is killed, neither of these apprehends aright. The Self kills not, nor is it killed.
Consciousness exists in smaller than the small, greater than the great and pervades in everything and everywhere  in all  the three states as their  formless substance. A man who is free from viewing and judging the worldview on the base of ‘soul’ beholds the it  through tranquility and becomes free from experiencing the duality as reality.
Gnani, having realized Consciousness as dwelling within impermanent states is bodiless, pervades the three states as its formless substance and witness and permanent and eternal.
Self-knowledge cannot be acquired by the study of the scriptures, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Consciousness reveals its own form.
He who has not rectified his seeking base from the ‘I’[form] base to soul[formless] base , who does not have the intense urge to know the non-dual truth and who is not tranquil and subdued and whose mind is not receptive , cannot acquire Self-Knowledge . It is realized only through deeper self-search.

When one focuses his attention on the self, which is not form but it is formless than the all barricade will start vanishing

Seekers  intense urge and sincerity to know the truth will lead him  towards the ultimate end.   The inner most self  is the guru  and when one  focuses his  attention on the self, which is not form  but it is formless than  the all barricade will start vanishing and  the formless runway becomes very clear. Seekers first step makes him  realize there are no step and no climber.

There is no need to ignore anything. We all including the whole universe exist because of ignorance. We are living within the ignorance. If there is no    ignorance-then there is no separation, no duality, no mind, no world, it is only oneness. Only when one gets rid of the ignorance through Self-Knowledge one becomes aware of the truth.  The ignorance holds the duality/ illusion as reality. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the birth, life, death and world as reality.

Therefore, one has to find the root of this ignorance, which holds the whole physical existence as reality. We are discussing the truth within the state of ignorance. Therefore, how can we get rid of the ignorance, when we are unaware of it?And because of ignorance we experience the duality/illusion as reality.  Therefore, there is a need to verify the truth of our own existence to get rid of the ignorance.

Pursuit of truth is a mental journey. There is no need for any teaching or teacher in this journey of self-verification.  If one has intense urge to know the truth, then that urge will take him to his spiritual destination.

One has to learn to think and reason on his own without the aid of his accumulated knowledge, to get rid of the ignorance.   One should not be judge anything on the base of logic, intellectuality, comparing everything with the accumulated knowledge and perverse thinking, which are greatest obstacle in pursuit of truth.  If one is ready to do this then he is ready to move forward towards his non dual destination.

A well directed inquiry, analysis and deeper reasoning with all humility, seriousness and sincerity will definitely lead one towards realizing the ultimate truth.

One has to try to find answers for himself without imagining it  but pondering through deep thinking:-

If the self is not physical then:-

v  With what one is able to know himself as a person and perceive the world?

v  Whether the mind is within the physical body or physical body and the world are within the mind.

Whatever answers comes from within one has to verify   through deeper  reasoning  constantly, until the inner dialogue starts, and when  one starts getting answers from within, and all the doubts and confusion starts getting cleared.  Then there is no need for mental spoon feeding.  It takes a long time because the subconscious not receptive to accept the new truth.  But one’s it becomes aware of the fact that, the self is formless [soul/consciousness] then it will drop all the accumulated knowledge based on the ego/physical self.    If the subconscious receptive this will happen instantly, otherwise it happens gradually.  Once the reasoning base is rectified from form base to formless base then one becomes aware what is truth and what is untruth and he will be able to reject the untruth mentally. When untruth is rejected whatever prevails is the ultimate truth.  One should not expect this to happen instantly. It takes time it is a mental journey it is inner work through deeper thinking and reasoning. One has to have lots of patience and humility in pursuit of truth.

Until and unless one drops all the accumulated baggage of traditionalism it is impossible to grasp, assimilate and realize the knowledge of the self

The nature of all reality is spiritual.   Until and unless one drops all the accumulated baggage of traditionalism it is impossible to grasp, assimilate and realize the knowledge of the self here and now.

The religion and spirituality are like oil and water.  Religion is based on blind belief, whereas the spirituality is the truth which is not ascertained yet. Whatever is based on the false self [ego] is not spirituality.  Thus religious ideas are not spiritual.   They cannot be mixed together. One will have to make his choice between them if he wish to progress in his pursuit of truth and not to remain stagnating.

The pursuit of Truth is the highest of aim. The ultimate truth is to be found within our experiences of three states, and not in the world, which is limited to experience, since, Authentic Gnanis to guide towards non-dual destination  are extremely rare.

From the physical standpoint, that which splits the world into two co-existing realities, consciousness and mind.  The ultimate standpoint annihilates the division of consciousness and mind by uniting both mentally, by realizing they are one in essence.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions will determine the phenomenal universe observed and experienced.
The botanist viewing a flower will see it differently than nature lover viewing the same flower. Each one interprets the object that he sees in terms of his existing knowledge.   Gnani knows his body, ego and his experience of the world as consciousness. Whereas the meditator or yogi thinks he is experiencing the bliss because of his physical effort. When the waking experience itself is false hood whatever experienced on the base of waking entity is bound to be falsehood.

A man of perfection is one who has realized the fact that, the true self is within the three states but it is without the three states.  And he has a firm conviction the true self is the formless substance and witness of the three states.  Thus your true identity is without the body and the universe and unaffected and witnesses the three states as passing show.  Thus when you become soul centric then your egocentric experience is mere mirage. Thus one becomes fully aware in the midst of duality the waking life is mere passing show.

A Gnani is fully aware of the fact that, the substance and witness of the mirage are one in essence and that essence is consciousness.   Thus there is no second thing exist other than consciousness. Thus other then consciousness all else is illusion.  Experience is possible only where there are two [duality]. Thus, where there is experience [duality] unity in diversity is impossible.  Therefore, only realization of truth is necessary to reach the experience- less [nonduality] state.   Thus whatever experienced as a person within the waking experience [duality] is falsehood.  Thus it is necessary to realize the fact that, how the three states are falsehood and on what standpoint.

The guru is necessary only in religious and yogic path.  Guru is not necessary in pursuit of truth because the truth has to be ascertained by the seeker himself.  Pursuit of truth is path of verification. And in every stage he has to verify the validity of his understanding by sound reasoning.  As his soul-centric reasoning faculty matures the truth will start revealing on its own.

Thus it all depends on what one thinks and accepts as truth. The yogi thinks his Samadhi is Brahman.  Meditator thinks his thoughtless state is Brahman.  For religionist his belief of god itself is ultimate truth. For atheist his no god belief is ultimate. But for Gnani identifies his body, ego and his experience of the world as consciousness in the midst of waking experience. Thus for him everything is consciousness, becoming aware of the fact that, everything as consciousness and consciousness as ultimate reality is truth realization or self-realization.

Non-dual wisdom is bitter medicine for those imprisoned by orthodox cults.  The ultimate state of consciousness, which the modern non-dualists describe, is that of the traditional sage or fully enlightened being, but they do not show the seekers the process leading to the realization of this state.  They describe marvelously the goal, but do not indicate the steps to be taken: thus their preaching is not a road map to the ultimate end.

Many Seekers of truth think the ways to Truth are many. What is most important is, one should not to restrict himself to one path that he imagines that all the others are false.  Thus if religionists say that one should follow one particular traditional path, and  modern thinkers  demands  to abandon all paths, but seeker of truth should to take an independent way , after verifying  validity of all claims  by sound reasoning and accept only un-contradictable truth until he reaches his pathless land.

Many people think they will lose all their sense of identity to their functioning, if they do not get cling to their ego. The ego creates the feelings of separation, pain, and alienation as well.  But all these feelings are within the universe and the formless witness is without the universe.

When one becomes aware of the fact that, self is consciousness through wisdom, then he also becomes aware of the fact that, the body, ego, senses and the universe which are present in the waking experience or dream are also consciousness.  And he becomes fully aware of the fact that, the formless true self [consciousness], which is the witness of the three states, is apart, real and eternal.   Thus he becomes aware of the ultimate truth [pure consciousness] in the midst of the duality [waking]. Realizing the truth in the midst of duality [waking/illusion] is wisdom.

One does not lose the physical experience [universe or mind] but he will be fully aware of the fact that, the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness. By realizing the fact that, the self is not physical but self is consciousness, the mind becomes still to know that consciousness alone is real, and the mind [universe] in which the whole humanity exits is mere mirage created out of consciousness.

There is a need to drop all the pre-conceived ideas and accumulated dross and try to verify a fresh to understand and assimilate the non-dual truth. One should not make any teaching as a yardstick but one should verify all the facts by sound reasoning and overcome all the obstacles by realizing what is truth and what is untruth.

If one becomes aware consciousness is the true self, then all his judgment has to be based on consciousness [formless] as self, not on the ego or physical self [form]. Then only it is possible to understand and assimilate the non-dual truth.  Since, everyone is judging the truth on the physical self [form or ego] which leads to doubts and confusion and one will land up in pursuit of argument.

People think that, the birth entity [ego] as true self and the world as reality.  And their judgement is based on the birth entity [ego]. Therefore, they think human and world are real. Thus they think the self is born, lives and dies, whereas the self is never born and it can never die because it is formless.

Thus arguing on the base of the ego [form] is waste of time and makes one more egocentric.      Thus there is a need to learn to view and judge the worldview on the base of consciousness as self, to overcome all the obstacles to reach the ultimate truth or pathless land, to realize the fact that, human and world are mere mirage created out of consciousness.
