One cannot reach the non-dual destination by glorifying god and goddesses and by doing that, one goes deeper and deeper into darkness. It surely indicates the fact that, the seeker of truth has to drop the worshiping god and goddess in order to get self-knowledge.
Deeper Inquiry, analysis and reason revels the fact that, the ‘Self is not the body but the formless soul/spirit. The soul has no religion. The religion is based on the body as self. Thus, religion is based on false physical self/ego. Thus whatever is known, seen, believed and experienced and accumulated on the false base is false hood. The formless substance and witness of the falsehood is real and eternal. Thus man and his idea of god and his religious beliefs and his experience of world are reality on the standpoint of the physical self/ego, and they are mere mirage on the standpoint of the soul, which is ultimate truth.
If one is freed from religious truth, he has better chance unfold the mystery of his true existence and realize the true existence is not physical but the spirit. Religion is the source of all imaginable faiths and disturbances; it is parent of fanaticism of civil discord, and it is the enemy of the mankind because it does allow one to know the truth of the true existence.
One cannot examine illusive subject like god, soul, faith, love, anger and other non-material subjects under a microscope. But one can definitely evaluate their validity through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the base of the formless soul, which is the source from where the duality/mind rises and subsides. it is necessary for the seeker of truth to verify the fact that, the self is not physical but the formless spirit before proceeding in pursuit of truth.
Truth realization is a very deep topic. One might ask what truth -realization is? Truth realization is realization of the knowledge of the true self to get unity in diversity. Identifying the fact that the Soul/self is the unified Whole.
Self- knowledge is not theoretical knowledge based on the physical self [ego] but the knowledge of the ultimate truth on which the physical existence [illusion] is dependent. Self-knowledge is the True Knowledge.

Soul is the whole experience of the three states

Limiting the the soul to the individual entity is cause of ignorance. The soul is in the form of consciousness.  the consciousness pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states. The consciousness is our innermost self. The three states are mere mirage created out of soul. Soul is the whole experience of the three states. The ego /physical self is present within the waking or dream. The soul is within but always apart. There is no real difference between mind and the soul on the standpoint of the soul as self. The diversity is because of viewing and judging the worldview on the standpoint of the physical self. The mind is of identical essence with the soul. In the realm of truth the mind is one with the soul. It is as real and eternal.

The ego or physical self is not the true self. The veil of ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality as reality. The illusion is superimposed on the Soul/self. Through self-knowledge one attains the non-duality and the duality ceases to exist as reality.

Duality is illusory on the standpoint of the soul

Duality is the world of Nature. Duality is illusory on the standpoint of the soul and it is reality on the standpoint of the physical Self/Ego. Mind is soul itself in one form. The individual experiences or temporal involvement within the mind, bound to be illusory. because the mind itself is myth.
The separation from soul on account of physical self/ego makes the soul forget its original, true, non-dual nature. Three states are a product of the soul’ and sustained by the soul, and finally dissolves as the soul’.
On account of ignorance of its true nature, it puts itself in wrong relations with other and with the objective universe. It creates a web of its own and gets itself entangled in it. This is an illusion, because the web has no reality. Thus all the three states are mere myth on the standpoint of the soul, which is the true self.
This waking, the world of false relations created by the soul, is illusory. Illusion rises from the soul and it is not apart from the soul. The illusion is independent reality witnessed by the “Soul/Self”. The “Self /Soul” is within the illusion as the formless substance, and it is apart from the illusion as its formless witness. Thus, the body and its experience of the world also is illusory because the waking itself is illusory.

Soul is the Source of all that exists

Everybody is looking for truth. Some don't realize that the soul is the true self. Soul is the Source of all that exists, the Cause of all that is, was, or ever will be.

As soul is the spirit and it is unlimited and is ONE. By reflecting through deeper, inquiry, analysis and reasoning, the seeker becomes self conscious and realizes the soul alone is, and all else is mere mirage.

Illusion is manifestation of the soul/self

For Gnani there is clearly a change in his attitude that must be related to a change of the base from form to formless, thus the ‘I’ is no longer is the base. The ‘I’-less becomes the base and the waking becomes mere mirage.

Nothing exists, other then the spirit. There is no creation, no destruction and waking is a illusion on the standpoint of the soul /spirit.

Waking also is unreal. Its reality is exposed when one becomes aware of the fact that, the true self is not physical but the spirit. Only through inquiry and reasoning on the base of the soul, one becomes aware of the fact that “I "/Mind is mere illusion. But the “Self “is different from mind because the mind is mere mirage created out of the spirit, which is the true self.

What is the use of big theories based on the ego, which is false self when the truth is based on the soul, which is the true self?
Soul/spirit alone is real, all else is unreal; the illusion is created out of spirit. Thus the illusion is spirit in its essence.

Soul/spirit alone is real. There is no other reality besides the spirit. It is the source all the three states. It is the first cause and the only cause. Spirit is the material as well as the efficient cause of the duality/illusion.

All religions are based on the false self

All religions are based on the false self. some scriptures in varying degree contains pointers to one’s liberation, which is our direct, visceral insight into this now separate, now one, and how his choices count. Believing in doctrines is pointless, understanding them is a hard task. Rituals, or bowing, or indulging in yogic practice is not the means to self-knowledge.
Many Religions are dogmatic, with their diverse doctrines. Seeker of truth there is no need to bother about them. The truth will not be realized by chanting or meditating. Loving, happiness and compassion are part of the physical life and physical life is part of the illusion.
Some scriptures are pointers to truth, not truth-in-itself. Therefore, merely believing in doctrines is pointless.
If one believes in a doctrine of rebirth or a doctrine of Karma, he will never be able to assimilate self-knowledge because rebirth and karma is based on the physical self. When the physical self is false self, and not the doer then the theory of rebirth and karma has no value on the base of the true self, which is the nondual spirit. If one is struggling to wake up, by accepting the theory of rebirth and karma then nothing is going to change.

The value of Self –Knowledge isn’t to be found in books

The value of Self –Knowledge isn’t to be found in books. Those are just the external appearances of self; they're not the realization of “Self” as proof. If one realizes the “Self” he realizes the formless substance of the mind and he sees the truth in it. When the truth becomes apparent it cuts off the stream of delusion. Their writings are pointers to truth, not truth-in-itself. That's why merely believing in their books is pointless.

If god is within the body then he is responsible for every action which is good or evil

If god is within the body then he is responsible for every action which is good or evil. If god is God is present within in our hearts then His laws are binding on the physical conducts to which he owns the authorship.
Until and unless one is aware of the fact that, true self is the soul/spirit, he is bound to believe in the conceptual idea of god propagated by the organized religion. Until atheists hold in their no god theory and hold the physical existence is real, without verifying the fact about the true existence they will remain in ignorance of the true self, which is formless not the form. The atheistic theories also are also based on the false physical self. Thus, whatever is based on the physical self is bound to be falsehood.

Self- realization is not for those who are so deep in denial they are unlikely to understand and assimilate the self-knowledge.

Belief in God prevents one from understanding and assimilating the Self-Knowledge

Faith is a main pillar in religion. This entails treating not only doubt and skepticism as enemies, but also nonbelievers asking critical questions, offering reasons to doubt the reliability of religious claims.

This attitude towards doubt may be an important reason why nonbelievers and skeptics are so reviled by conservative believers, the mere existence of nonbelievers is a threat because they demonstrate anyone can live and even thrive without religion and faith in any gods.

Whatever benefits religion might confer individually, when directed towards universal brotherhood it is ultimately divisive and destructive. However, that religion is a vital force for public morality and ethical action in many ways and also has become cause of concern because there is lots of violence and wars is going on in the name of religion and god.

Truth is not a matter of religion, or no religion. Truth is a matter of the true existence. Only truth will set free one from experiencing the duality as reality. Without the truth the believers and nonbelievers argument will go on and on and there is no end to it.

It is wrong to say one cannot "sustain goodness without belief of God," but nonbelievers who reject belief of gods can still be good and have "noble character" without the belief of God. Belief in God prevents one from understanding and assimilating the Self-Knowledge, because it makes him believe he is an individual separate from the world.

The god cannot exist without a man. Thus, man has to exist before any god can exist. Thus, it is impossible for god to exist without the man. Therefore, god is dependent on man for his existence. Thus it is necessary to know how man is able to exist and perceive the world to unfold this mystery. Clinging to irreligion is of no more use than clinging to religion.
