Appearance and disappearance is mere mirage within the consciousness

To say that each mind is different is unproved because no one have never seen mind. Can one say where it starts and stops, have one measured its thickness? All is supposition, not proof.  Therefore, there is a need to understand the fact that, the mind is not within the body but body and universe are within the mind.   The body and the universe together is mind, which appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.

Yoga can yield only duality because everything that one can do or practice becomes a vanishing 'known.' It yields relative truth based on imagination, which is true from a physical viewpoint, not non-dualistic or Advaitic  truth, which is ultimate reality.

One sees all the objects of the universe, including the physical body within the Waking or dream experience, the waking or dream  passing away like clouds  every moment,  the witness is formless and  apart. The three states are unreal the witness or knower of the three states is real and eternal.

One has to starts with mind which is matter and invisible substance of the matter which is consciousness. One has to analyze mind and taking away from it all those portions which are ever changing or passing, he gets at consciousness.

When one is able to make the distinction between consciousness and mind then he will understand that every living creature, even animals possess the consciousness. In this sense only, he will come to understand that God is present everywhere, provided God is taken to mean the consciousness.

In all mental operations there are two factors--the knowing capacity (soul or consciousness)and that which is known (mind or universe). The known things are all passing away and are therefore unreal. Without the knowing capacity that is the knower in existence there could have been no such thing as knowing these things.
v
What is meant by word know?

Knowing implies two factors, the knower or the knowing capacity, or that which becomes aware; and the known. Without these two factors one cannot use the word know. One finds the known always passes away. When one is distinguishing between knower and known, the word Mind is used. When these disappear the word consciousness is used just to show that there is something which has not disappeared, as thoughts and objects are seen to disappear. Nobody can see consciousness appearing or disappearing. One can say only that it must have been there.

It is not body alone that constitutes mind, but body plus world that is Waking experience. The invisible substance and witness of the Waking experience is consciousness.

As deeper analysis revels the fact that, everything that one has in waking experience, (every thought, feeling, and emotion) is only "a mind” and  will pass away; mind is only the "known". Hence "negating whatever appears and disappears” when examining the contents of mind and says these are passing phenomena and not the soul (consciousness) which is the Witness.

Soul (consciousness( the witness is seeing or knowing the changes, not that soul (consciousness), which is the witness, is changing. The word change is not applicable to Witness that is consciousness. The soul is immortal. Soul is seeing the mortal; in this sense the soul is the witness of the three states is immortal. There cannot be two witnesses. It is impossible. Change can have a meaning only when there is more than one. Soul (consciousness) being unchanging must be only one.

One knows that changes occur because of the existence of something unchanging. The changing and the unchanging are always present. One has to value experience because but for the Waking experience and its changes, one could not possibly think of the Unchangeable or realize it. Why attach soul (consciousness) to all that changes which constitutes the mind? The very fact that one are constantly thinking shows that mind is always changing.

DVI" means two. DVI" connotes dual existence and the non-dual. Which of these two is non-existence? People think that there is God and that the jivas--souls-- like them form the second, other than them. There is no such duality at all.

"Soul”, which is present in the form of consciousness,   is the only reality and there is nothing other than this soul or consciousness, which is the innermost self. On the stand point the formless soul or consciousness, innermost self, there is no second thing exists other than consciousness.  Because the whole universe in, which we all exist is created out of consciousness.  There is no second thing exist other than consciousness. Hence it is non-dual (non-duality)

People do not distinguish between soul and mind. If they knew that everything seen, even the gods, is only an idea they might perceive truth, not otherwise.

When one think of the individuality, one knows it also is only consciousness, mind. The soul = subject. The mind = object.

Experience is present only when the mind is present, no matter how exalted it is. Experience never touches the soul, which is the Witness.  The soul is present in all the three states people foolishly believe that the more they think, the more one will get; but it is really an error. It remains only a thought and gives one back only a thought. Anything seen, observed, cannot be the Witness.

The consciousness is the sole witness neither appears nor disappears.  Appearance and disappearance is mere mirage within the consciousness. If one confines the consciousness to waking entity, inquiry, analysis and reasoning is necessary to understand that ultimately everything is consciousness.

First consider the mind as whole waking or dream experience. Then consider the waking or dream as in object. Then analyze the three states mentally and become aware of the existence of the formless witness of the three states, which is not an entity or identity. It is the formless subject, which witnesses the object. The witness also is the formless substance of the three states. The subject and object are one in essence.  The essence is consciousness, which is second to none.

Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the innermost self. Consciousness is the witness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence.

What is not consciousness (formless) in the experience of diversity [waking or universe]?  The waking and the dream cease to exist without consciousness.  The seeker, seeking and his destination   all are one in essence.

There is only need to realize the whole universe in which we exist is created out of consciousness (soul or Atman), the innermost self.  On the standpoint innermost self, the universe is mere illusion created out of consciousness.  Thus on the ultimate standpoint no second thing exists other than consciousness. Thus consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman.

Why do mortals then become attached to worldly pleasures in the first place?

It is the illusion that allures one to enjoy the mundane objects in a futile effort of satisfying the unceasing demands of his senses within the waking or dream. A person within the illusion becomes intoxicated of lust, greed, anger, attachment, false ego, enviousness, stubborn mindedness, and their numerous variations within the illusion.

Consequently, the individual self gets caught in the illusory cycle of birth, old age, disease, and death within the illusion. This is illusion, by which the consciousness is forgotten; emotional attachment and love of duality is born.

The ignorance of the true self is cause of duality. The duality is cause of illusion. The illusion is the cause of experiencing unreality as reality. Because of this pluralistic phenomena of illusory -vision, the material happiness appears to be followed by sorrow. If there is laughter, there is a cry; if there is a birth, there is a death; if there is a rich, there is a poor; so on and so forth.

Everything in the waking or dream experience is in the state of constant flux; there can be found no everlasting happiness. The ego is in the control of evil passions, evil intent, and duality.

Everyone wishes for happiness, pleasures, joy, peace, etc. and none asks for suffering, misery, etc. But in the wake of pleasure, there comes suffering. The pleasure and pain co-exists within the illusion. People do not understand this.  Therefore, there is necessary to realize the fact that mind, which appears as waking or dream is mere illusion.

It is the attachment to the form of separate objects which keeps one from apprehending their unity, not the seeing of them. One has to think of both form and essence, by practice he must get to the stage where he can think of both simultaneously. This is done by knowing that the form is made of consciousness, which the true self. This requires sharp intelligence and constant repetition of practices of seeing both form and essence at the same time.

False and true knowledge exists only when one talk on the base of ‘ego’: when one knows the truth, however, such classifications cannot arise because everything is then known to be the consciousness and no questions of where and how or why can arise.

One must make an effort to know the consciousness as self. Consciousness is there always. One has got it, there is nothing new to be acquired, only have the sharpness to grasp and understand it, when told about it. But there is a difference between understanding and realization.

Effort is required for this understanding only, whereas once understood no special effort is needed to remember one's  understanding .  Until then he only have an idea of soul, which is in the form of consciousness he only partially understand it. But once he thoroughly grasp what it is and that all these things are consciousness, he will then constantly find it present everywhere without further effort, because he will perceive consciousness  by understanding, even in the midst of waking experience.

When there is only one thing (consciousness) known, there is nothing to change, nothing to appear or disappear; when one speaks of remembering or forgetting Consciousness that implies he believes in the existence of something else, i.e. a second thing, which is to be remembered. That would show you have not known that all is one. But knowing it, there is no second, consequently no intermittent perception of consciousness, but a permanent effortless understanding that it alone is.

When one gets a glimpse of truth mentally try to repeat it a number of times in order to establish it. The self must raise itself by the Self."

Beginners and intermediates must indulge listening, reading, writing and discussing and constant reflecting on the subject. Discussing other than the “Self” is waste of time. Discussion of accumulated knowledge and intellectual speculation satisfies only those who want to exhibit their skills of plying with the words.  Thus it is better to avoid such discussion who is more interested in exhibiting their accumulated dross and less interested in moving forward in their pursuit of truth.    Only through deeper self –search on his own, one becomes receptive to self-knowledge.

Seeker has to realize the fact that, the imagination is cannot transport him or her  to  the non-dual destination. He has to attain to a state when he can negate all ideas and imagination, which are part of the duality [waking/dream]. Therefore, he has to know and grasp mentally the Formless Witness of the three states. When this new idea of formless witness is formed in sub conscious, it will help to replace the old idea of the physical witness, same way as --One thorn pulling out the other thorn and both thrown away--that is the only way.  and hence seeker of truth has to “think deeply and discriminate between the base of ego and base of the soul to get un- contradictable truth “as a tip against getting mislead by others.

One has to differentiate between understanding the spiritual truth and a realizing the spiritual truth. The former makes to know with certainty; the latter is ultimate realizing and final with firm conviction.

In reality there is neither the knower nor the known but only oneness.

One must be desirous of knowing the ultimate truth. Pursuit of truth is most difficult. But it is not difficult for those serious seekers who want nothing other than the truth.   Receptivity is needed in pursuit of truth. Accumulated knowledge or scriptural mastery or logical conclusions are not yardstick in pursuit of truth.

One cannot imagine the truth and imagination is not truth. Imagination is possible only when there is duality. Duality is false hood.  All our individual experiences are part and parcel of the duality.  Therefore our individual experiences of birth, life, death and the world are falsehood. To realize it is falsehood one has to realize the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the self is the formless substance and witness of the three states.

The Self –Knowledge or brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is goal of the true seeker.  Self-knowledge is end of all egocentric knowledge.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is declared by the Indian sages in the past has to be mentally excavated from labyrinths of philosophy. So many conceptual divisions invented by teachers of philosophy by their excessive analysis and different idea of truth and interpretations. All these concepts and ideas are never ending process.

The seeker of truth need not take the path of doubt and confusion, which takes him nowhere.  Fortunate is the seeker who does not lose himself in the labyrinths of these theoretical philosophies.  By perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ leads to non-dual self-awareness. Seeker has to behave in a   normal and sane way and silently reflect on the subject constantly.
Only when one becomes aware of that he is in bondage, when he gets the idea of the soul. He tries to know the soul, which is inner most self.   When he becomes aware of the fact that, the inner most self is not the form but it is formless, then only the urge of liberation arises. Once this urge arises then it is impossible to get rid of it. Thus he becomes restless until he becomes aware of the truth he is seeking for.

The soul, which is the innermost self, is in the form of consciousness. The self is prior to all, bondage and liberation, truth and falsehood. Its existence is self-proved, it cannot be doubted, for it is the essential nature of him who doubts it.

It is known in immediate perception, prior to all proof. Self is eternal, immutable and complete. Bondage is its association with the three states through ignorance.  The self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but it is the formless witness of the waking or dream as the whole. Until one is ignorant he thinks on the base of his waking entity or ego as self and judges on the base of the ego or physical self. This is cause of ignorance and cause of all doubts and confusion. Therefore, his reasoning base has to be rectifies from form to formless in order to know what is truth and what is untruth.

Soul is the true self. The true self is in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is something other than the physical existence because it cannot be traced as thing or an object. It pervades in everything and everywhere in the whole physical existence.  It is the cause of the physical existence and it itself is uncaused.

Consciousness persists through all three states. One has to mentally negate all the three states in order to realize the fact that the witness is within the three states and it is without the three states. It is within the three states as their formless substance and it is without the three states as their formless witness.

The true existence is consciousness without the form, time and space. Therefore the self is nothing other than the consciousness. However, this consciousness is not the flux of states, a stream of consciousness.

Consciousness is the knower, knowledge, the known. It is infinite, transcendent, the essence of absolute knowledge. And it is also -illumined, free, and real. Thus the consciousness is the knower of all and all else is known other than consciousness. The known is mere illusion created out of the formless knower.  Therefore, the knower and the known are one in essence.   In reality there is neither the knower nor the known but only oneness.

Mirage is mirage. Existence is existence.

Mind is in the form of  Universe. Universe appears as waking or dream.     Soul is in the form of consciousness. consciousness   is  the innermost self. The waking or dream is the same as the consciousness because they are created out of consciousness.    Thus mind and soul are one in essence. That essence is consciousness.  Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman.

When one becomes aware of the fact that that, the mind and soul are one in essence, then he becomes aware of: - what is oneness of mind and soul."

It is the individual ego or waking entity  which is the doer, the enjoyer, the sufferer within world.  The world is falsehood, which appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep. Individuality and individual experiences are experienced as reality within the waking experience is falsehood. Thus it is necessary to discover and realize how the universe, which appears as waking, is falsehood. the soul, the innermost self is nothing to do  the three states because the three states are mere illusion. in reality the witness and the three states are one in essence. thus the three states ceases to exist in the realm of truth.

The soul is the innermost self. The soul is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness or the innermost  self in its ignorance of its formless non-dual true nature, enjoys, suffers and acts within the world of duality. And it becomes free from duality when it becomes aware of its formless non-dual true nature by realizing all forms and names experiences are mere mirage created out of itself. There is no duality in its true nature.  Thus it is necessary to realize the self is not the form but self is formless, in order to realize the form based experiences are falsehood.

Mirage is mirage. Existence is existence. Universe which is in the form of mind is mere mirage. One has to discover how the mirage came in to existence?  Without the form, time and space there is no mirage. When the form is not the self, then the time and space are non-existent. Without the form, time and space there is no mirage. The one which witnesses the form, time and space is formless, timeless and spaceless existence.  Thus form, time and space are created out of single stuff, which is formless consciousness.

The illusion will prevail as reality till the self –knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is acquired

If one is seeking truth then it is necessary for him to move beyond narrowly orthodox attitudes of superiority.

Every religion   possesses its own set of virtues and vices.  From the ultimate standpoint, the worldly life means little: an illusion within an illusion! And also the suffering humanity which is part of the illusion does not expect our help, nor does the Gnani sees any service to render to a world which does not exist as reality for him.

One can mentally reduce everything to an entirely homogenous, sole Reality-- Consciousness.  The body, ego, the experience of the world, are nothing but mind, which is mirage. Mind in turn, reducible to pure Consciousness, the only Reality.

The "direct road" of non-dual wisdom, Knowledge, leads to the realization of this ultimate truth.  The "cosmological path,” that of religion and yoga, also leads to hallucinated reality. And they are more indirect and lengthy road, because they consider the world, the soul, and a personal God as real.

Seeker must be desirous to knowing the ultimate truth.   The ultimate truth frees the self from experiencing the illusion as reality. It is most difficult to grasp it in the beginning but if the seeker is sincere and serious to take inner journey to know the truth, it will start starts revealing on its own.

Pursuit of truth is only for those who want to realize ultimate truth.  What one do not like may contain truth?  Thus deeper investigation is necessary to unfold the mystery of one’s existence.

The wave and the ocean cease to exist without the water. Until we are ignorant of the water we identify it as ocean and its waves. Same way all three states cease to exist without the consciousness. Until we are ignorant of the consciousness we will experience the three states as reality.  Thus, by getting rid of ignorance with sword of Self-knowledge one becomes aware of the fact that, the consciousness alone is real and all the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness.  All the diversity is part of the mirage. The unity in diversity is possible only when we get rid of the ignorance.

The consciousness is neither the body, nor the ego nor the universe. In order to attain liberation from experiencing the individual experience along with the universe as reality one has to know the self is not the form but formless consciousness, which is the formless substance and witness of the waking or dream in which man experiences birth, life, death and perceives the world as reality.

Thus the self is the witness of the three states, which is in the form of consciousness. The mind is in the form of universe, which comes and goes as waking or dream.

The thought of the witness comes only when one inquires in to the witnessed (mind or universe).   The consciousness is the one witness of the whole and is really ever free. Because one sees one self as not as a formless seer but see the self as form is the cause of the bondage and bondage is the cause of experiencing the pain and pleasure as reality.

Self is only one. The word witness is got at by eliminating the witnessed. One has to burn down the ignorance with self –knowledge by realizing the self is not an individual but the self is consciousness that pervades in all the three states.

If anyone could imagine a consciousness which does not objectify anything but remains in its own native purity, a happiness beyond which it is impossible to go, and a self which is unvaryingly one and the same, he would have the correct idea of the true self.

Every living being is a prisoner within the realm of this illusory duality.  Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  will releases one from bondage of experiencing the illusory duality as reality.  This can be accomplished if the seeker who aspiring to know the truth of his true existence.  Only by realizing the fact that his individual experiences of birth, life and death within the world are mere mirage created out of consciousness, which he has been unaware. When he becomes aware of the fact that, the self is not the form but the self is formless consciousness then he wakes up in reality to realize his body and his experience of the world are mere mirage created out consciousness, which is his true identity.  Dream becomes unreal when waking takes place, so also the waking becomes unreal when one wakes up with his formless true identity.

Until there is Ignorance the world will prevail as reality. Until the world is considered as real the experience of birth, life and death will prevail as reality.  Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality as reality.

Ignorance keeps one in the grip of the individuality.  Ignorance makes one think he is an individual separate from the world and world existed prior to him and he is born is in afterwards. Until this conviction is there it is very difficult to overcome the duality. Without overcoming the duality it is impossible to know and realize the ultimate reality.

There is illusion because there is Ignorance.  The illusion will prevail as reality till  the self –knowledge  or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is acquired.  The freedom from illusory reality is the goal of every truth seeker. But this freedom is only through knowledge.  Without knowledge there is no emancipation. He, who knows the true self is not the form but formless consciousness, overcomes grief of experiencing the illusion as reality. He, who knows that consciousness as self, becomes consciousness. He, who knows consciousness as self, attains the freedom from experiencing the illusion as reality. Freedom is the absence of false knowledge based on the false self (waking entity or  ego) within the false experience (waking0.

The religion and spirituality are like oil and water.

The nature of all reality is spiritual.   Until and unless one drops all the accumulated baggage of traditionalism it is impossible to grasp, assimilate and realize the knowledge of the self here and now.

The religion and spirituality are like oil and water.  Religion is based on blind belief, whereas the spirituality is the truth which is not ascertained yet. Whatever is based on the false self (waking entity or ego) is not spirituality.  Thus religious ideas are not spiritual.   They cannot be mixed together. One will have to make his choice between them if he wish to progress in his pursuit of truth and not to remain stagnating.

The pursuit of Truth is the highest of aim. The ultimate truth is to be found within our experiences of three states, and not in the world, which is limited to experience, since, Authentic Gnanis to guide towards nondual destination  are extremely rare.

From the physical standpoint, that which splits the world into two co-existing realities, consciousness and mind.  The ultimate standpoint annihilates the division of consciousness and mind by uniting both mentally, by realizing they are one in essence.

People who argue there is nothing beyond the universe; there is nothing other than the matter; that the body was the man; and death was end of all.  According to them there is no truth other than the practical life within the practical world, which they hold as reality. Their only agenda is as long as they live in the world live happily with all the pleasant things of life, who can demonstrate that there is something left after the physical death.  Beg, borrow or steal – but live happily is their mantra.

There are also people who believe strongly there was a spirit which defied the ravages of time, which cannot be confined in space; that spirit transcends the limits of this universe in which the body exists.

How one can decide what is truth,   when he is bound by birth, life and death or form, time and space?

The consciousness is the innermost self. And nature of the consciousness is formless and non-dual.  One should realize the consciousness as whole universe without parts.  To describe non-duality as a system is erroneous because the dual and non-dual is the nature of the self. Duality is illusory nature of the self and non-duality is real nature of the innermost self, which is consciousness.  Ultimate truth  cannot be confined into a narrow set of ideas.

Non-dualistic truth is supreme truth; all dualistic systems hold false self as real self and false experience as reality.  Non- dualistic wisdom is culmination of all systems including theistic non-duality.   The true non-dualist will not quarrel and argue with any theoretical philosophy because he is fully aware of the fact that, this orthodox theistic non-dualistic scholars or pundits like Dualist sages could not distinguish between ‘I’ and ‘formless witness.’ The 'I' was the witness. Their highest was the Jiva. One is so much attached to the 'I' that he do not want to think that 'I' does not exist. Again one is unable to detach the ‘I’ from the Real witness.

There is need to study the scriptures. One has to self-search the truth and realize it without the scriptures. And then when he reads the scriptures he becomes aware the scriptures are also saying the same thing but everything is misinterpreted.

Mundaka Upanishad  :-This Atman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Atman—by him alone is Atman attained. It is Atman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. - 3 page70upanhsds by Nikilananda

It means the truth is beyond scriptures and egocentric intelligence.  Thus in order to grasp, assimilate and realize the non-dualistic truth the seeker to employ soul-centric reasoning faculty.

That is why Sri, Sankara says in commentary in Vedanta sutra that what is accepted without proper enquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, in something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.   Seeker of truth should not believe blindly in traditional orthodox non-duality without verifying all the facts from every angle. One has to reflect through reasoning over and over again without getting tired of the process.

That is why Sri, Sankara says VC :-   58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar, but are no good for Liberation.
59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utter the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realisation one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.

There is nothing more rational, more intelligible and more un-dogmatic insights of Sri, Sankara, is to drop all the theistic non-duality or Advaita which is meant for those who are incapable and not receptive to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

If one merely theorizes, tries to understand through his intellect and there contended he cannot become a Gnani but he becomes a scholar or pundit.   Seeker of truth must make what he has understood and assimilated has to be  realized, to get firm conviction of the non- dualistic truth or ultimate truth or Brahman,   than only it is possible for him to transcend all the limitations of the experience of form, time and space.

The existence beyond limitations of form, time and space is known as Moksha or Nirvana. Spiritual freedom or self-realization is the goal of every seeker of truth.

Belief in religious prohibitions arises out of fear of God's punishment.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (8) - Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (9) - Children, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's purpose. Because these performers of karma do not know the Truth owing to their attachment, they fall from heaven, misery-stricken, when the fruit of their work is exhausted.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they enter again this world or a lower one.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (11) - But those wise men of tranquil minds who lives in the forest on alms, practicing penances appropriate to their stations of life and contemplating such deities as Hiranyagarbha, depart, freed from impurities, by the Path of the Sun, to the place where that immortal Person dwells whose nature is imperishable.

Everyone likes Religion because it belongs to the world of emotions and sentiments. Religion changes as it appeals to different emotions. At one pole the nude saint is admired; at the other the gorgeously-dressed God men is revered.

Seeker of truth should not be carried away by any yogi or swami standing or by the attitude of authority which he adopts in addressing to the mass. It has no value in the realm of truth. His pretends he knows everything and this attitude he adopted because his guru told him so, both of them not knowing really what truth is but they are well versed in scriptural knowledge. Scriptural knowledge is not ultimate truth.

Yogi or swami is certainly brilliant intellectually in religious authority, but remember the religious truth is individual truth not universal.  They apply reason admirably to their profession or business, but drop it and use feeling or emotion only when trying to philosophize.

Religion is “individual truth”; spiritual truth   is “universal truth.” This means religionist take his feeling of truth whereas a Gnani takes his reasoned judgment, which will be the same under test everywhere in the universe.

No one has ever seen God; they only heard or read about him. Some may claim they have seen in the vision. But vision is mere individual experience similar to dream. If one takes the visions as real then the dream also be taken as reality.  No one knows god’s capacities, what He can create, and what he cannot create. Therefore any statement one might make about God would only be a lie, because god can exist only when man exists, and believes in belief of god. If there is no belief then there is no god. Thus god is the religious software in the belief system.  If the software is removed then it is only physical existence.  The truth will unfold only when one is able to think beyond physical existence.

The truth of religion can only be proved by physical strength or by imagination, or power of the weapon or political power, never by reason.  Belief in religious prohibitions arises out of fear of God's punishment.  Seeker of truth has to regard the theosophy in the same way as he regards the idea of God- of religion.

The Religionists place God as the unknown reality. Every religionist has a different idea of God. Every man has a different idea of real, Hence there is need to know the ultimate truth.  The fallacy of the religionist’s appeal to scripture lies in the varying and conflicting interpretations of the same scripture which different persons feel entitled to give or hold.

Religion needs a guru to propagate its belief system, whereas in pursuit of truth there is no need for a guru. The ultimate truth has to be ascertained by the seeker alone.  Yoga needs guru to guide its student to practice Samadhi.

Religion encourages the one  who can induce himself to feel convinced that he has realized the Self, or has  an admirer who believes that he has done so, then it  opens up for  him the way for the founding of a new sect based on Guru-worship. People, too, have developed curious credulousness. Often they would install an earnest seeker and devotee, or a pious saint, on the throne of God and begin to offer him worship and homage even if he protested and resisted such acts. They would lay prostrate, sing hymns, wave lights (arati) and burn incense before him, and present to him food which was to be returned by him as prasada, wash his toes and sip the wash. At times the disciple would go to the length of getting food, fruit or a betel-nut leaf chewed by him, and taking the morsel back from it.

They would place his photo in the private temples of their homes and perform all these rites and ceremonies which are usually offered to the  temple-idols.  In this way there might be at present in our country scores of individuals who are worshipped as living God, with a following varying in numbers.

If one is seeking truth one has to drop all religious based dogmas and blind beliefs ritualistic baggage and move forward in their pursuit of truth.

Therefore, one has overcome all the inherited conditioning to unfold the mystery of the physical existence/mind.

Chandogya Upanishads:- This universe comes forth from Brahman and will return to Brahman. Verily, all is Brahman. A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the Self.

If one is seeking truth then it is necessary to bifurcate and drop the traditional Advaitic path which is not the means to self-knowledge and move ahead without the traditional baggage to get direct realization on his own as suggest by the great sages.

Thus seeker of truth has to know what this universe? What is this ultimate truth or Brahman?  in order to realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth?

No one can escape the waking experience which is the very basis of the physical existence. What was the waking experience before it appeared? Was their existence before the appearance of the waking experience?  When the waking perishes, does the soul or consciousness survive alone?  Is there a self or soul?  The seeker has to find answers for all these doubts in order to realize ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’.

As one goes deeper in self-search one becomes aware of the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity not self is the dream entity but the self is formless substance and the witness of the three states. And the formless substance and witness of the three states are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness.  If the formless substance and witness are one in essence, then there is second thing can exist, other than consciousness?  Thus consciousness alone is real and all else is mere illusion created out of consciousness, which is the innermost self.
