Atheist and theists both are believers.

Atheist and theists both are believers. The theist believes in existence of god and an Atheist believes in no god. Atheists deny the existence of God, where as theists completely support it, because of this difference in belief. Both their belief are based on the false self/ego.  Science has not been able to come to a conclusion because their invention is based on the false self, as real self, and believing the false experience as reality. Even if there is no God, the fear of this fictitious being prevents many people from doing ill deeds.

Happenings are happening within the false experience based on the false self

Unexpected incidents occurring, which one terms it as coincidence or miracle and sees hand of God in it. However, all these happenings are happening within the false experience based on the false self.  Thus whatever is seen, known, experienced and believed are happening within the waking or dream, which are mere mirage created out of the formless clay, which is the soul/spirit.  Therefore, the mirage has no value, because it is false, but the formless clay, which from which the mirage is created is real and eternal.

Worshiping the belief leads to deeper ignorance

No one can prove the existence of god because whatever knowledge one has of GOD comes from the old scriptures which were written by great spiritual saints, who are no longer present to testify their writings.
The scriptures it self declare that:    This Ataman cannot be attained by the study of the Vedas, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Ataman reveals Its own form. [Katha Upanishad Ch-II -23-P-20]

This Ataman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Ataman—by him alone is Ataman attained. It is Ataman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. [    3 –page-70 Mundaka Upanishad  Upanishads by Nikilanada]

In Isa Upanishad says:
MANTRA 10

Scholars say that the path of Avidya [performing Aganihotra and other sacrifices] and the path of vidya [worshipping gods and goddesses] produce different results. Wise men confirm this. [X]

Vidya and Avidya both are hindrances to Self-knowledge, but Vidya is even worse than Avidya. The word Vidya is used here in a special sense; here it means worshipping gods and goddesses. By worshipping gods and goddesses you will go after death to the world of gods and goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spend there is wasted, because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of gods and goddesses you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

Avidya is Karama and therefore a hindrance. You perform Avidya - i.e., you perform Agnihotra and other sacrifices. This is a roundabout way of purifying the mind, and it is also groping in the dark. But it may not have as heavy a toll on your time and energy as the other.
If the self –knowledge is the goal, then it means belief in conceptual gods and worshiping the belief leads to deeper ignorance. Religion and its prescription of believing and worshiping gods are recommended for those who are not receptive and ready to receive the self-knowledge.
It proves that the concept of god, karma, heaven and hell are ideas created by religion, to help for those who are incapable of grasping. The concept of god and goddesses and karma are part of the ignorance. By worshiping god and goddesses one accepts the false self as true self, thus he is unfit for self-knowledge. Therefore concept of god is not the means to acquire the self knowledge. That is why Buddha rejected concept of God, religion and scriptures.
Therefore, it is necessary to make sure why the religion, concept of god and scriptures are not the means to self-realization before indulging in pursuit of truth.

Form, Time and Space cesses to exist without the mind.

v  What is the cause of this experience of duality?
v  Is it the Soul the Supreme Reality?
v  Why man and his experience of the world exist only in waking or dream?
v  Why man is unaware of the fact that, the birth, life and death takes place in waking experience.
v  Where shall man at last find rest?
What makes one bound by the experience of birth, life and death and its opposite?
Form, Time and Space cesses to exist without the mind.  Mind ceases to exit without form, time and space. Form, time and space exits only in waking or dream.  Form, time and space are absent in deep sleep. Mind is present only in waking or dream and mind is absent without the waking or dream.
The individual and his experience of the world are within the waking or dream. The one that witnesses the three states which comes and goes in succession is not the waking entity.
The self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but it is the knower of all the three states.
The Self is one. Ever still, the Self is though motionless, he outruns all pursuit. Without the Self, never could the experience of diversity exist.
The Gnani sees the truth within the three states the ultimate Reality, the self-luminous all pervading, which dwells as the self-conscious power in everything and everywhere in the three states. It is one without a second. Deep within everything and everywhere it dwells in the three states, hidden as their formless substance and witness. It presides over time, space, and all apparent causes.
Like water in snow, butter in cream, water in the river-bed, fire in the tinder, the Self dwells within the three states. Seeker has to Realise it through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning.
Like butter in cream is the Self/Self in everything. Knowledge of the Self is gained through meditation. The Self is Supreme Reality. Through true Self-Knowledge is all ignorance destroyed.
Fire, though present in the firestick, is not perceived until one stick is rubbed against another. The Self is like that fire; it is realised through inquiry, analysis and reasoning.
He who is realised by transcending the experience of duality, in deep contemplation, becomes aware it is to be the soul to be the real self. Soul/spirit is the formless substance and witness, all else is mere mirage. And it is the imperishable.
The Gnani know the self to be the soul   as the one reality behind all that seems. For this reason they are devoted to it. Absorbed in it, they attain freedom from the illusory cycle of birth, life, death.
Waking or dream is perishable. The Self, the destroyer of ignorance, is imperishable, immortal. It is the one reality. By constant reflecting on the nature of the Self, by identifying the soul as the self, one ceases to be ignorant.
Seeker has to know the truth, and all fetters will be loosed. Ignorance will vanish. Birth, life, death and rebirth will become part of the mirage. Seeker has to reflect on the soul as self and transcend physical consciousness. Thus he will be one with the universal identity. Seeker of truth must know this.  There is nothing further is there to know.  Seeker has to Inquire, analyze and reason deeply, then he   will realise that mind is mere mirage and formless substance and witness of the mind is real and eternal.
