Seeker has to dismantle the physical base of the false self that is ego, by rectifying the base of reasoning from form to formless. To gauge progress on the journey of Self-realisation see the degree of absence of contradiction. Self-realisation itself does not admit to progress. The main obstacle is the physical base. Progress is measured by the degree of removal of this obstacle. With inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base one goes to the source of the physical existence and this reasoning on the true base removes all the obstacles. This process will remove all doubts and finally the ultimate truth will prevail.
This way one will be able to say that Self-realisation is that which nondual peace is. All that one need to do is to understand it perfectly. Non-duality is real nature of the true Self. By realising the true Self one can easily call Soul is ultimate truth. The nondual tranquillity can be felt in word and spirit. Those who realise the Self are called Gnanis. The journey is mental and not difficult; it is achievable with lesser time and effort if all the barricades caused by accumulated knowledge are removed. Just meditate on the question: “What is I?” and one will eventually find the answer.
To understand and assimilate non-duality is possible only when one is able to view and judge the truth on the ultimate standpoint. Any interpretation on the physical standpoint will always be contradictory.
To say nobody is ever born on the base of birth entity is erroneous, without understanding the fact that, the self is not physical but self is the spirit [Ataman]. Therefore, the spirit is the true self and on the standpoint of the spirit [Ataman] as self the birth, life and death is mere illusion.
Sri, Sankara said:-Ataman is Brahman—it means—Ataman is ultimate truth/reality.
Sri, Sankara said:- World is unreal Brahman alone is real—it also means – the birth, life and death which happens within the world also unreal—the Ataman alone is real all else is falsehood.
Sri, Sankara said:- everything is Brahman-- it means the whole physical existence that is man and his experience of the world is Brahman—everything is created out of single stuff that is spirit [Ataman] and there is no second thing other then the spirit[spirit].
By limiting the Atman to the physical entity, and viewing and judging the world as a person is the cause of the ignorance. Therefore, there is necessity to know the fact that, the self is not physical but it is the spirit [Ataman], in order to realize, there is no second thing exists other then the spirit, which birth –less, to realize nothing is ever born.
Seeker has to give up the conditioning that makes him reason on the base of physical self, because the self is not physical. The accumulated knowledge based on the physical self is bound to be falsehood. Therefore, the reasoning based has to be rectified from physical to the spirit in order to assimilate self-knowledge.
The physical self/ ego is related to name, profession, region, language and other such acquired identities whereas the true Self is formless thus free of burden and bondage. There is no need to have an attitude about the real nature of the true self. It exists in all the three states but it is hidden in them as their formless substance and witness. Through deeper inquiry and analysis and reasoning into the nature of the mind one becomes aware of the fact that, the duality is mere mirage created out of the formless spirit, which is the true self.
Some cult has no dogma concerning the nature or existence of the divine. They tend to not believe in a personal god and are more likely to believe in an impersonal divine force, to revere a universal life force, or to not believe in a god at all, but it is by no means a requirement. They focus on humanist values, supporting equality, social justice, and respect for the wider world, beliefs that are easily compatible with a variety of other religions. But all these ideas have value only in the realm of duality. Their views are based on the physical self. Therefore their ideas are limited to physical existence.
The knowledge accumulated on the base physical self is not nondual wisdom. It is mere a repetition of the scriptures with different interpretation by different people. The pursuit of truth is mere mental journey. The very purpose of the pursuit of truth is to focus the entire attention at the source of the mind from where it rises and subsides.
It is not one eye searching for another eye. The reasoning on the base of the soul is the real formula, for it involves an intense activity of the physical self/ego to keep it steadily poised in true self-awareness.
Until one realises the fact that the self is the formless soul/ spirit, the inquiry, analysis and reasoning should continue. Gradually, it is possible for one to get permanently established in the state of non-dual -awareness. The nondual -awareness is the true nature of the true self.
Seeker has to reject all the three states mentally and persist with the formless witness of the three states. If one is able to establish in the witness base the ignorance will get to disappear and one becomes aware of the nondual reality.
Inquiry, analysis and reasoning leads to knowledge of the true Self. One is aware of the Self even-though the Self is not objectified. When one says he does not know the Self, it means absence of related knowledge because he is so accustomed to relative knowledge that he always looks for same. Because of this the goal of Self- realisation appears to be distant.
Experience of diversity [form] becomes oneness in deep sleep and Oneness [formless] becomes diversity in waking or dream. Therefore, that which becomes diversity [form], and that which becomes Oneness [formless] is not our physical entity, because the physical entity is present only in waking and dream. The one, which is aware of all the three states, is formless, apart and eternal which is the soul. The soul/spirit itself is ultimate truth/Christ/Brahman/Buddha.
One should search for the source of the mind, which appear and disappears. What is the source or origin of mind? To find the answers one need to be receptive and ready to accept the truth and reject the untruth, when one finds all his accumulated knowledge is based on untruth.
By understanding and realizing what is mind and what is substance of the mind, the duality subsides. Only 'Self-awareness can bring about the death of 'physical -consciousness'. All growth of thoughts is only because of the reason that, the unreal feeling of identification that, 'self is physical', has become deep rooted and firmly established. Only by realizing the fact that ‘self is physical ' and focusing the attention on the true self which is the soul/spirit is death' of the ignorance.
Self is physical thought, causes 'separation between man and the world and truth leads to sorrow. Thinking the self is physical is the cause of experiencing the diversity as reality. On the base of the physical self the thoughts will arise. On the base of physical self one can imagine things and speculate. The 'world' and idea of ‘God’ exist only on the base of physical self. The physical self is false self within the false experience. Whatever seen, known, and believed and experienced of the world and idea of god within the experience of duality is illusion/mirage on the standpoint of the true self, which is the spirit. The pain and pleasure are part of the illusion, because the birth, life and death itself is illusion.
Understand that 'deep sleep is without the physical self and has no separative-world-and- idea of God as well. During the time of sleep, there is no individual, perceives the world. There is no trace of thoughts exist, about 'heaven, hell, karma 'world and ‘God’. The deep rooted self is physical impression alone, as the reason of experiencing them as reality.
Destruction of the original error ‘self is physical ' thought, will destroy the ignorance of experiencing the duality as reality. If this ignorance is overcome through knowledge of the true self, and able to base the self as the spirit, then the experience of duality will not remain as reality. 'Self-Attention' can destroy the 'self is physical ' identification. As long as the sense of ‘I exists the self will remain physical. If self remain physical the world and the idea of will remain as reality. The thoughts cannot be eradicated until one becomes aware of the fact that the self is not physical.
To overcome the experience of unreal duality, one has to focus his attention on the source of mind from where it erupts and subsides. There is no need dislike or aversion to gurus one should be more careful when the clouds of suspicion is surrounded on them. Many are fascinated by these gurus but one must realize the fact that, most of them are religious and yogic oriented. Religion and yoga are noting to do with spirituality or pursuit of truth.
Seeker has to discover a way, to look to himself for the answers he seeks. Inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base is the best way to see more clearly when he is looking out for truth of his true existence.
No teachers or teachings that promise answers to all questions because they all are based on the physical self. There is no need for a guru in pursuit of truth because the self itself is the real guru.
Seeker has to realize the fact that, the Soul/Self is neither the body, nor the mind, nor the intellect, nor the world. The Soul/self is neither the breath, nor the heart. Soul/Self is in the form of the spirit or Consciousness.
The experience of duality is mere mirage created out of the Soul/spirit. Thus there is no second thing other than the soul/self. Therefore, holding anything else other then the soul/self as god is ignorance caused by illusion. The one which powers the illusion is the soul/spirit is real and eternal. The ultimate truth can be called god, not the individualized god with forms and names.
We are talking of truth or god in illusion. We argue discuss about the truth/Christ/Brahman within the illusion. In reality there is nothing to argue, nothing to judge, because there is nothing exists other then Christ/Brahman/Spirit/emptiness, which is ultimate truth.
There is no scope for argument on the base of accumulated knowledge in pursuit of truth. Seeker has to clear all his doubts and confusion on his own through inquiry, analysis and reasoning until he gets un-contradictable truth. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.
Blinded with the illusion very few will be able to grasp the nondual truth. Only few escape from the web of illusion, only few seekers are able to acquire nondual wisdom.
