Through soul, the innermost self he gains strength and through its knowledge immortality.

The purpose of self inquiry is not theorizing, but to get the un-contradicted truth, which lies beyond all the theories.

When the inquiry reveals that 'I' is not the body, then there is no use of saying I am not the sense, I am not the brain, I am not the mind. If 'I' is not the body all other thing including the 'I', is non-existent. Thus it is erroneous to view and judge the worldview, if 'I', is not the physical body, and take the authorship as a person. The inquiry revels the fact that the body is a mere experince not an experiencer. Thus the experiencer of the body is the formless entity. Therefore, it is relevant to view and judge the worldview on the base of the formless entity, not create theories and spin the web of imagination on the base of physical body as self , which is a mere experience.

The physical based inquiry is for the beginners to focus their attention on the 'I'. In latter stages of inquiry, when seekers thinking and reasoning goes deeper, he realizes the fact that 'I', is not the self.

I AM' is not Self and Self is not 'I AM'. 'I AM' is bound by form, time and space. Without the form, time and space 'I AM' cease to exist. Holding ' I Am as Self one remains in clutches of duality. When there is duality than there is ignorance. Ignorance is cause of experiencing the duality (illusion) as reality. The person who identifies Self as 'I AM' will not be able to cross the threshold of duality. There is no point in saying 'I AM' this or 'I AM THAT' because the 'self' is that which witness the 'I AM' and the world together without the physical apparatus.

The earliest ancient sages used the word ‘I’ to the witness of the three states not to the ego as moderns use it and think the ‘I’ without the body is self. The seeker has to understand the fact that the fact that ‘i’ is not the self but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true self, which is eternal.

People think that the ‘soul’ or ‘spirit’ is something different from the mind. They believe that the mind is really two. This is the confusion among religionists and intellectuals. If ‘Soul’ has any meaning, if ‘spirit’ has any meaning, so long as one thinks of them, they are merely ideas. No, Mind is the highest: it is consciousness, non-dual wisdom.

The individual is a bundle of memories, desires within the waking or dream. The memories and desires are part of the duality. Therefore the individual self is entirely part and parcel of the mirage. Peoples ideas of that they will go to some world after death, some astral plane or religious heavens will disappear as nonsense with the disappearance of belief in the reality of the ‘I’.

The 'I', represents duality.

The duality is there only, when the experince is there.

The experince is there only, when the 'I', is there.

Absent of 'I' ,absent of experience.

Absent of experince, absent of duality.

Absent of duality, there is only non dual reality.

Therefore all the theories are reality within the 'I', until one realizes the fact that 'I' is not the self, and 'I', is mere illusion on the standpoint of the formless soul , the innermost self. Therefore the main aim of the inquirer is, to find the  self beyond form, time and space and discard the falsehood.

Self-inquiry is very essential tool to start the spiritual pursuit. The secret of self inquiry is no revealed by the masters, because the seeker has to find all the obstacle and fatter on the way, on his own, and assimilate the knowledge, to have a firm conviction.

Sage, Sri, Sankara' gave religious, ritual or dogmatic instruction to the mass but pure philosophy only to the few who could rise to it. Hence the interpretation of his writings by commentators is often confusing because they mix up the two viewpoints. Thus they may assert that ritual is a means of realizing Brahman, which is absurd.

When the ultimate truth is rightly known and one attains eternal life thereby. Through soul, the innermost self he gains strength and through its knowledge immortality.

Viewing and judging and passing opinion and theorizing on the base of the waking entity or ego as self is mere imagination ,which leads to hallucination.

All the theories are based on the false self  thus they are falsehood. Those who base their physical based theories, thinking false self as real self and false experience as reality(waking)  .the one believe in the theories based on the false self are the prisoners of duality.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the, self is neither the waking entity nor the self is the dream entity but the self is formless soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states in succession without the physical apparatus.  This has to be mentally grasped and assimilated to realize the formless soul, the innermost   self is nothing to do with the three states. On the standpoint of the three states, the three states are mere illusion.

The practical life within the practical world, which is present as waking experience, is mere illusion. If waking experience is mere illusion than the individual experience of birth, life, death and world are mere illusion.   If the experience birth, life death and the world are mere illusion, it means the form; time and space are mere illusion.  If form, time and space are mere illusion, it means the past, present and future is mere illusion. Thus it is necessary for the seeker to realize the fact that,   form, time and space are one in essence, in order to realize the three states are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Thus all the diversity is created out of   formless consciousness. Thus no second thing exist other than consciousness, the innermost self. Seeker of truth has to constantly reflect on the subject in order to get firm conviction of the truth.  Seeker has to reflect on the same truth again and again until it becomes reality. One needs to constant reflect on the subject until he gets firm conviction of what is what.

If the self is not waking entity then it is clear that one has to view and judge the worldview on the base of the formless soul, the innermost self. on the standpoint of the formless soul, the three states are mere mirage created out of the consciousness(soul).

Viewing and judging and passing opinion and theorizing on the base of the waking entity or ego  as self is mere imagination ,which  leads to hallucination.

One has to discover the truth, which is beyond, within the experince of duality, by proper understanding of what is truth? and what is not truth? and accept only the truth and reject the untruth.

By theorizing and arguing on the  theories based on the false self  will keep them like a stagnant water. One need not accept what other says, but he has to make sure for himself, whether it holds good on the base the formless entity, which powers the universe.

Sage Sri Nirakara said: the Waking entity, whether it is wealthy or popular or powerful disappears in deep sleep, and becomes one with the the formless substance from where the waking experience is erupted.

If body is not the self, then, what is it, that experiences, the dual (waking-dream) and non dual (deep sleep) states.

When the waking experience  is not the experince of the waking entity  itself because the waking entity and the waking world are within the waking experience. The witness of the three states is not the waking entity but  the witness is the formless soul (consciousness), the innermost self.  On the standpoint of the formless soul, the innermost self, the three states are mere illusion.

Words are needed until one gets firm conviction of ‘what is what.

The ignorance is the cause of experiencing waking experience(duality) as reality. Thus eradicating the ignorance completely is necessary. And this is possible only through self-knowledge.   Thus, there is no other road to freedom other than Gnana.  There is no other entrance other than except Gnana.  The ignorance will vanish only when the non-dual wisdom dawns.

Sri Sankara, in Bhaja Govindam says: - [Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena] - one without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

Thus it proves that religion is not the means to self-knowledge.

Detachment to attachment is impossible without wisdom. Only when one realizes the fact that, the self is not form but self is formless, than only it is possible to detach the ‘self’ from the false attachment.

Nature of the soul, the innermost self is like a deep sleep experience

When one is not doing any work but only sitting quietly or lying down, it is generally not possible to focus attention on one thought or only related thoughts. The ego simply runs amuck in all sorts of directions into mutually unrelated subjects and topics. On the other hand if one is engaged in a particular task, the ego stops with thoughts that are related only to that task on hand. Suppose ego decides to do meditation, it refuses to cooperate; in fact it takes itself into most unwanted avenues. This is the situation of every person who perceives the world with in the waking experience. It is an impossible task to make the mind still, without understanding, what is mind, and what is the substance of the mind.

Controlling the mind or the ego with action conduct and deeds is impossibility. It is as good as trying to empty the ocean drop by drop.  With what one has to control the mind and ego. Is it possible to control mind with mind, or ego with ego. Who has to control the mind, when everything belongs to mind in duality, because mind itself is whole experience of duality?  Therefore, seeker has to understand what is mind, before indulging in pursuit of truth. Thus, finding the source of the thoughts or watching the thoughts, and focusing attention on the object, is not the means to acquire the non-dual wisdom, because all these acts and actions are performed by the ego, within the mind or duality. Thus seeker has to realize without the mind, the body; ego and the world are non-existent.  And the body, ego and world together are mind.  This point has to be understood by the seeker of truth.

The ‘I’ is in the form of mind. The mind is in the form of universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.  The duality is present only when the Mind (I) is present. Mind (I) is present only when the universe is present. Universe is present only when the waking or dream is present.  The duality is present only in waking or dream. In deep sleep there is no duality.  The very absence of Mind (I) gives the sense of everlasting peace.

Deep sleep gives Everlasting peace. Therefore the experience of duality is the cause of the birth, life and death, pleasure and pain. Nature of the soul, the innermost self is like a deep sleep experience. Therefore, consciously experiencing the non-dual experience in the midst of waking experience by realizing the true fact, the body, ego and he world are one in essence.  That essence is formless consciousness (soul).

To overcome the burden and bondage of duality one has to overcome the ignorance by realizing    the burden and bondage are reality within the illusion (universe or waking).

Without realizing the soul as self, which the formless substance and witness of the three states, it is impossible to overcome the illusory duality (waking) which everyone experiences as reality.

The realization comes only when one becomes aware of the fact that the mind (universe) is an illusory parasite on the formless soul, the innermost self. Therefore it is necessary to know the soul or consciousness, the innermost self, to realize the true self is formless and ever independent and it pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states.

Consciousness is the formless substance and witness of the three states. Consciousness is within the three states but it is ever apart from three states. It is within the three states as their formless substance and it is apart   from the three states as their formless witness. It is apart because it is not and entity or identity within the waking or dream.  In the realm of truth the formless substance and witness are one in essence.  Thus there is no second thing exists other than consciousness. Thus the diversity is mere mirage created of consciousness the innermost self.  Thus consciousness (soul) is ultimate truth or Brahman.

The falsehood of the Waking will be realized, when the wisdom dawns

It is evident that the waking entity   is mere apparatus within the waking experience . The waking entity and waking world are  is completely dependent on the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Without the consciousness the waking experience ceases to exist.   the waking entity perceives the world within the waking experience.   the formless soul is the innermost self.

It is the Self that is in illusion and it is the self that gets free from the bondage of the illusion. The illusion is present in the form of mind. Mind is in the form of universe. Universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.  The individual experiences of birth, life, death and the world are within the waking experience.  The dream is parallel waking experience and waking is parallel dream.

One needs to constant reflect on the subject until he gets firm conviction of what is what

For assimilating the knowledge of the self, seeker has to learn to view and judge the worldview on the base of the formless soul, the innermost  self, to realize the fact that, the  the three states are is mere illusion.

The essence of Vedas say: body [dehum] is not the self (naham)-(kohum) what is self- self is that (sohum). When the great scriptures like Vedas, which is the mother of all the scriptures, declare that: body is not the self; why to theorize by taking the authorship of the body, when the body is not the author. Why seek the truth on the base of the body, when the body is not the self.

The seeker has to try to view and judge, on the base of the true author  to acquire the wisdom. only through wisdom  one  realizes the fact that,  the mind, which is present in the form of universe is mere mirage created out of single formless substance. that formless substance is consciousness.  there is no second thing other then consciousness . Hence it is non dual.

Nirakara said: the people who cling to the birth entity as self, and try to assimilate the knowledge of the self, will remain in the clutches of hallucination.

deeper self-search reveal the fact that the physical body is not the self, then what was one before his birth, and what he is going to be after death, when the self is not the body? Therefore the physical based seeking will lead the seeker to all sorts of doubts and confusion and leads towards hallucination.

Nirakara said: it is only ignorance that people think the duality will vanish when one gets the wisdom. The duality does not vanish, but when  the wisdom dawns, and one will realize the fact that waking (duality) is also as real as a dream.  on the standpoint of the  formless soul, the  innermost  self , the three states are mere mirage because the witness of the three states and three states are one in essence.

In this state of wisdom, one becomes aware of the fact that the whole experience of diversity is created out a single non dual substance; there is no second thing other than that substance. That non dual substance itself is the witness of the  three states.

The duality is mere mirage. Therefore what is the use of spinning yarn on  theories  based on the waking entity or ego, which is false self within the false experience(waking)

Wisdom means to know the real and the unreal nature of the self, in the midst of the experience of duality(waking).

Nirakara said:- the Waking experience becomes like a mere mirror, to one who becomes aware the true self, is formless.

What reflection the mirror will have, when the formless is in front of it.

Only on the base of the formless self: Advitha Master Sri, Sankara declared the world is myth and everything is Brahman.

Nirkara said: other then the formless self, everything is illusion.

Buddha called it emptiness.(Empty of experience of duality)

Meher Baba called it, I am GOD state.

The great non dual Masters have declared it as non duality or emptiness or illusion or Brahman, in the state of illusion [duality] itself. The purpose of acquiring the wisdom is, to assimilate the knowledge of the formless entity, which has this illusion, to overcome the illusion in the midst of the illusion (duality).

The duality will not vanish, when wisdom dawns, but its unreal nature will be realized in the midst of the experience of duality, the same way one realizes the falsehood of a dream, when the Waking takes place.

The falsehood of the Waking will be realized, when the wisdom dawns. And one will be able to establish in the eternal identity in midst of the experience of duality.  and one will be able to  view and judge the worldview on the base of the eternal formless identity, in the midst of the  waking experience.

In self-awareness  fully aware of the fact the  duality is mere mirage and non duality ultimate truth.

Thus one becomes free from the illusion of duality, which he was experiencing it as reality, in the midst of the waking  experience .

The pleasure and suffering are part of the duality

The pleasure and suffering are part of the duality. The duality is mere illusion form ultimate standpoint. If one tries to search the source of the mind than it leads him towards the soul. The soul is the innermost self and the source from mind arises and subsides  as the universe.

Siddhartha the prince with all his comforts of luxuries, when he saw the suffering he renounced all the pleasures of life and try to seek the truth of life. When he became aware of the true self, he became aware of the fact the life is nothingness. That is everything was created out of nothingness or formless consciousness and everything is nothingness or formless consciousness.

Modern man is pleasure hunter, and wants only pleasure of life not pain. Thus everyone is involved in hunting the never ending pleasure, and they try various methods, which suits to their own mindset, to get that pleasure that does not pass away.

When one who is able to think, very deeply, will find the fact that, the pleasure and pain are created out same substance. And the nature of the substance is formless. The formless substance itself is the true self. The true self is the source of the experience of diversity (mind or universe or waking). The whole experience of diversity (I) is erupted out from this formless source.

Since man thinks he is an individual separate from the world and limits, the mind (I) to the physical entity, he remains in ignorance, and experiences the duality as reality. Thus he accepts the suffering as part of his life.

The pleasure and pain are impermanent within the experience of impermanence (mind or universe or waking). The mind (I) which appeared on its own also disappears on its own. The one, which knows the mind is created out of nothingness or formless consciousness and that nothingness  or formless consciousness is the inner most self and it   is everything, is free from the ignorance, which is the cause of the experiencing pain and pleasure as reality and it itself is uncaused.
