The whole diversity come from the Self, and subsides as Self
One who meditates upon and realizes the self discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantram and meditation--all come from the Self.
- Chandogya Upanishad
It clearly says the one who meditate upon the self discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantram and meditation--all come from the Self. Therefore , there is a need to know the fact that ,the true self is not physical but the soul in order to realize the fact that : the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantram and meditation--all come from the Self/Soul.
The idea of religion and religious identity is based on the false physical identity/ego and false experience. Focusing/diverting attention from the world to a thing /belief will lead one to hallucination. Without realizing the true self is soul, all types meditation keeps one in the grip of duality.
The people, who practice meditation, are unaware of the fact that, the true self is not physical, but the soul. When they consider themselves Hindu, Christian or Buddhist or think their meditation as a way to enhance their religious faith are unaware of the fact that, their physical identity is the false self within the false experience. Thus, any type of paths and practices, which are based on the false self [‘I’] will not yield any fruits
Man lives in the ignorance of innate reality
Man lives in the ignorance of innate reality. Entangled by the elements, he becomes ignorant and experiences the birth, life and death and pain and pleasure as reality. The formless path exhorts the seekers to seek liberation from the consequence of ignorance through self-knowledge. By self-knowledge alone can freedom from duality/falsehood is possible.
The two weapons to overcome this bondage are discrimination between real [non duality] and unreal [duality] and detachment from the unreal [duality]. Formless path helps the seekers of truth to exercise such discrimination to discover or merge with the original source.
For a Gnani the world is an illusion
On the standpoint of soul as self origination is impossibility. The various theories of creation - that it is the expansion of God or it is the will of God or it is for God's enjoyment or it is an illusion like a dream or it proceeds from time - are all rejected when one become Gnani who is realized the fact that, the soul is the true self.
Creation is the very nature of soul. It is his inherent nature which simply emanates and flows from it. But even this is only an appearance for in truth there's no creation at all. For a Gnani the world is an illusion.
Viewed from the soul as self there’s neither birth, life and nor death, neither appearance nor disappearance, neither production nor destruction neither inaction nor action, neither bondage nor liberation. There's none which neither works for freedom nor is there any who is liberated - this is the highest truth/Brahman.
Change of religion is not the means to acquire self knowledge
Dalai Lama said: change of religion may be easy but it is very bad and creates confusion. He cited a few instances of emotional conflict after conversion. It is “safer” for an individual, particularly in India to follow his/her own religion. [DH-DEC-21-2009]
Change of religion is not the means to acquire self knowledge. When the self is not the physical entity, and physical entity is the false self, then the religion which is based on the false self is limited to false self and the false experience.
Deeper inquiry and, analysis and reasoning on the true base revels the fact that, the soul/spirit is he true self. On the base of the soul as self the man, world and his belief of god are mere illusion. The truth is soul/spirit is real, and the three states are unreal, the unreal created out of the real which is the soul /spirit.
The birth, life and death is mere illusion
The “good or “bad" things happen to us not because, in a previous life, we were once “good” or "bad" to others. Is happens because of the ignorance of the true self, which is soul/Christ/Brahman. It is foolish to accept the karma theory without verifying the fact that, when body is not the experiencer of the body itself.
The karmic account cannot be settled on the physical self, because it is not the author of the three states. Thus, karma theory is based on the false self [‘I’], believing the false experience [waking] as reality.
On the base of Soul/Christ/Buddha, experience of the birth, life and death is mere illusion. Thus, whatever is based on the false self has to be part of the illusion. By accepting the karma theory makes one hold the false self, as real self. Therefore, self-knowledge is necessary to understand and assimilate what is truth/Christ/Buddha/Brahman.
There is nothing to reject other then falsehood
There is nothing to reject other then falsehood. The physical experience is part of the falsehood. When the physical body is not the experience of the physical body itself, then it is for the seekers to find out what is it that functions as physical body, and perceives the world as a person.
Deeper inquiry and reasoning reveals the fact that the physical body is not the self, and then the physical based theories has no value in the realm of truth. In the eyes of truth /god/true self, man and his experience of the world are mere mirage.
The birth, life and death are part of the waking experience
The birth, life and death are part of the waking experience, which is mere illusion on the standpoint of the true self /soul. It is no use of saying that, we are not born, and we do not die. Whatever is born will die. One has to understand the fact that the birth, life and death takes place in the illusion, which comes and goes as waking experience. The formless witness of the three states is real, which is our true identity has no birth and has no death.
Thus, it is wrong to judge and say we are not born, and we do not die by limiting the self to the physical entity/false self/ego. The true self is the soul, which is the birth less and deathless eternal identity.
If one limits the self to the physical entity alone, one gets only half-truth. The self pervades all the three states, as its formless substance and witness. The formless substance and witness, which is the true self is the soul. Without knowing the true self-mere saying, we are not born, we do not die is not the knowledge, which has come from depth, it is mere bookish knowledge. Unity in diversity is not possible through bookish knowledge.
When Sri,Sankara says: The world is unreal . He never said body is unreal. He would have said only birth and death is unreal, he did not say that, he said the world is unreal. He meant the world including the body, because the body and world appear together and disappear together [waking/dream]. Then we have to think, what remain without the body and the world as reality, which is Brahman.
How can the birth, life, death, rebirth, and reincarnation, which take place in unreal world [waking/dream], can be true. The one, which is aware of the birth, life death, rebirth and reincarnation [illusion/unreal], is formless reality, which is the true self/soul. The formless self is true identity, which is birthless and deathless. The true self is the formless witness of the birth, life and death and rebirth [illusion/unreal].
On the standpoint of true self/soul the birth, life, death, rebirth and reincarnation theory is part of the illusion/unreal. The body cannot reincarnate, the body and the world are created out of the same formless stuff. Until one views and judges on the base of flesh, bone and blood [five elements], he will not be able to grasp the non-dual truth. Thus, one must know on what standpoint, we are not born and we do not die thoroughly, just by hearsay views, it will not lead anyone to the non-dual destination.
Seeker of truth has to learn to view and judge the truth on the standpoint of soul/self, and then he will never have any doubts and confusion regarding the birth, life and death. When one thinks and reasons deeply then only the inner revelation starts, and starts burning the dross [confusion/doubts]. When one is able to view and judge the truth on the base of the soul as self, then only, the truth starts revealing. This is the inner process every serious seeker experiences in his well directed pursuit of truth. The inner dialogue will start and one will start getting answers from inner core of his existence.

the present birth, life itself is a happening within the illusion
As an individual one may believe in rebirth as they may have come across many cases of rebirth. The point here is the present birth, life itself is a happening within the illusion. Thus whatever takes place in the illusion has to be illusion. The truth is the formless substance and witness of the illusion is the soul/spirit is the true self and it pervades in everything and everywhere in illusion. Thus, there is no second thing exists other then the soul, which is in the form of spirit/consciousness. Thus the birth, life, death, rebirth and reincarnation and Avatar are mere illusion on the standpoint of the soul/spirit, which is barman/Christ/Buddha.
The reincarnation is based on the karma theory. The karma theory is based on the birth, life and death. The birth, life and death are reality only on the base of the false self. Thus whatever based on the false self is bound to be false hood. By accepting karma theory is accepting the falsehood as reality. Thus whatever is based on the birth identity will not yield any truth. If one accepts the karma theory then it is impossible to treat the world as illusion. All the pundits’ explanation of karma theory carries no weight on realm of truth.
This Empty and calm and devoid of ‘I’ is the nature of the Self.
Empty and calm and devoid of self Is the nature of all things. No individual being In reality exists. There is no end or beginning, Nor any middle course. All is an illusion, As in a vision or a dream. All beings in the world Are beyond the realm of words. Their ultimate nature, pure and true, Is like the infinity of space.

How can the birth, karma, death, rebirth, and reincarnation, which take place in unreal world [waking/dream], can be true
In Orthodox Advaita they accept karma theory. If they accept the
karma theory, one will not reach the non-dual destination. If one accept karma
theory then it is impossible to treat the world as illusion. All the pundits’
explanation of karma theory carries no weight on realm of truth.
The birth, life and death are part of the waking experience, which is
mere illusion on the standpoint of the true self [consciousness]. It is
no use of saying that, we are not born, we do not die because, because we all
were born and we all are going to die. However, the birth, life and death are
part of the illusion, which comes and goes as waking experience. The
formless substance and witness of the three states is real, which is
our true identity. The Self which is in the form of
consciousness has no birth and death. The ultimate nothing to do with the
religious based Advaita, which is based on Vedas. That is way the
Upanishads declared the truth cannot be realized by studying Vedas.
A Gnani will never say we are not born; we are not going to
die. Only to the mediocre, who nod their head, he will say this to
inspire them to think of the formless true identity, which is birth less,
deathless. Thus, it is wrong to say we are not born, and we do not
die by limiting the self to the physical entity. If one limits the self
to the physical entity alone, one gets only half-truth. The consciousness
pervades all the three states, as its formless substance and witness. The
formless substance and witness, which is our true self [true identity]. Without

unreal. He would have said only birth and death is unreal, he did
not say that, he said the world is unreal. He meant the
world including the body, because the body and world appear together and
disappear together [waking/dream]. Then we have to conclude, what remain
without the body and the world as reality.
How can the birth, karma, death, rebirth, and reincarnation, which take
place in unreal world [waking/dream], can be true. The one, which
is aware of the birth, life death, rebirth and reincarnation [illusion/unreal],
is formless reality, which is the true self/true identity. The formless
self is your true identity, which is birthless and deathless but it is the
witness of the birth, life and death and rebirth [illusion/unreal].
On the standpoint of true identity the birth, life, death, rebirth
and reincarnation theory is part of the illusion/unreal. The body cannot

Seeker has to learn to view and judge on the standpoint of formless
witness/soul/self. Then he will be never having any confusion. When
one thinks deeply then only the inner revelation starts and start burning
the dross [confusion/doubts].
Seeker will have enough material stored in his subconscious by
reading F.P BLOGS; all will start yielding fruits and start revealing, when he stars
thinking very deeply.
F.P blogs are not teaching, they are only sign post for those who are
seriously seeking truth. This is the inner process every serious seeker
experiences. The inner dialogue will start and he will start getting
answers from inner core of his existence.
Every teaching has to be thoroughly verified through deeper
discrimination. If the teaching is egocentric than drop it as useless. If it is
purely soul- centric than accept it as
truth. If it is mixed with both then also it has to be dropped.
ZEN Buddhism Satori is not highest
wisdom, because it comes as flashes, it does not depend on seeing the world,
and does not depend upon mental sharpness so much as intuition. Zen Buddhists
are only mystics--they do not offer proof. How is their main method different
from that of Christian mystics, Hindu mystics, all of whom do not seek to prove
by reason, but by "I know," intuition?
ZEN may get a flash of peace but that is not the same as Vedantins who
realizes that the whole world is yourself. Zen is mysticism.
Zen is quite alright in mentioning non-duality: it is the nearest
doctrine to true Advaita outside India, but nevertheless it is still inferior
because:
v It fails to prove
non-duality
v It illogically
gives koan exercises as a means of attaining That which is beyond attainment,
because always here
v It talks of insight
or intuition to see Reality when sight involves a second thing, duality.
When one says "Nothing is" what is the meaning of
"is"? "Sunya" is something which exists: one cannot prove
that consciousness does not exist.
Zen Buddhism gives
a high important place to meditation practice, but then so does the Advaita.
The truth is that Zen advocates the necessity of meditation for those of its
adherents who cannot grasp the absolute truth.
ZEN BUDDHISM is also on this lower stage of Yoga, because it depends on
flashes of Intuition gained by meditation, not by reasoning.
ZEN: Suzuki's "Zen Contributions to Japanese History" now
causes to revise unfavorably the former good estimate of Zen. It is presented
there as largely mysticism, while the present day life in Japan plus China war
reveals no trace of Zen influence.
Has the Void a meaning? If so then it is only one’s imagination.
Buddha gave up yoga after practicing it for six years. He saw it could
not yield truth.
Page.70/71 "Buddhism In Translation” by Warren quoted as showing
how Buddha gave up his austerities of yoga as impossible and useless. Thus
Buddha got enlightenment only after he gave up Yoga. Unless one exercises his Reason--there
is no chance of getting the non- dualistic truth.
Buddhism has not proved the truth of Non-duality. Buddha pointed out
unreality of world, we agree. He told people they were foolish to cling to it.
But he stopped there. He came nearest to non-duality in speech but
not to non-duality fully.
Most of the modern thinkers teaching seems essentially negative,
a potent but bitter medicine for those imprisoned by institutional cults. They
break the seeker’s bonds, but then lead him to a vast desert where they abandon
him. The ultimate state of consciousness they describes is that of the
traditional sage or fully enlightened being, but he does not show us the
process leading to the realization of this state. They describe marvelously
the goal, but do not indicate the steps to be taken: their recurring phrases
"unified consciousness" or ‘I AM THAT’ and "let go" are not
a roadmap to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Formless path is for understanding the Self and the world in a different way
A
Seeker of truth has to understand, assimilate and constantly reflect on fact that, the soul is the true self. However, "believing in" doctrines about non dualism is not the point of formless path.
Formless path is for understanding the Self and the world in a different way. Scriptures are not meant to be accepted on blind faith. The seeker of truth should not be idolatrous about or bound to any scriptures, theory, or ideology. Formless path is the guiding means; one finds the absolute truth" when he verifies through deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the base of the soul as self.
The absolute truth cannot be contained in words and concepts. Thus, merely believing in words and concepts is not the formless path. There is no point in believing in reincarnation/rebirth, for example. Rather, one has to indulge in deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the base of the soul, which is the true self, in order to realize a self not subject to birth, life and death.
To say that doctrines and teachings shouldn't be accepted on blind faith. They are important for religionists. Formless path is like maps to follow on a spiritual journey, or a boat to carry the seekers across a river. Meditation or mantra or rituals and prayers are pointless in pursuit of truth. But for the beginners in pursuit of truth they have a real impact on their life and outlook.
Pursuit of truth is not to accept any belief blindly without verification. Over the centuries religionists have developed diverse schools with distinctive, and sometimes contradictory, doctrines. Often one might read that "one school of thought believe" such and such a thing, when in fact that doctrine belongs only to one school and not to all of other schools of thought.
To compound confusion further, throughout world one can find a kind of folk Belief system in which the Sage/Saints /God men and other iconic characters from religious literature are believed to be divine beings who can hear prayers and grant wishes. Clearly, most people are with beliefs. Focusing on those beliefs will teach them little about the ultimate truth, however.
If one wants to know and assimilate the ultimate truth, he has to put aside all assumptions. Put aside assumptions about belief system, and then assumptions about religion. Put aside assumptions about the nature of the self, of reality, of existence. Keep himself open to new understanding. Whatever beliefs he holds, hold in an open mind and not with preconceived ideas, and see where it takes him.
