The waking prevails as reality until the wisdom dawns.

The cause and origin of the three states is Atman, which is in the form of consciousness.  Atman appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep. Thus it is for the seeker to know what appears as duality (waking or dream)and what disappears as non duality (deep sleep).

The body and the world are exists only in duality (waking or dream).  They are non-existent in non duality (deep sleep). To unfold this mystery one has to know what is mind and what is the substance of the mind.

Only in duality (waking or dream) one knows that he exists, in deep sleep the objective existence is absent.

One is aware of his body and sees his body moving and thinking. But he is unaware of the fact that he and his experience of the world are within the experience of duality (waking or dream).

One has to realize the fact that, the  body also moving and thinking and being in all sorts of places in the dream while it is actually lying fast asleep. The dream is reality until waking takes place. The waking prevails as  reality until the wisdom dawns.

The cause of thirst for life and thirst for rebirth is ignorance of the true self.

The cause of thirst for life and thirst for rebirth is ignorance of the soul, the innermost  self.  Real rebirth is dying from the ego or duality or matter into the Spirit. This is the significance of the crucifixion of Jesus. Whenever identification with the body and the world exists, a body and the world is always available, whether in the dream or waking or vision or astral, till the duality disappears by merging into the Source – the  soul ( consciousness or Spirit) the innermost Self.

The stone which is projected upwards remains in constant motion, till it returns to its source, the earth, and rests. Pain continues to give trouble, till the pre-pain state is regained.

Quest for self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is inherent in the very nature of life, which is Absolute Existence – truth. Although indestructible by nature, by false identification with its destructible instrument, the body, consciousness imbibes a false apprehension of its destructibility within the false experience of duality; hence it tries to perpetuate that instrument, which results in believing the birth, life and death as reality. But however long these experience of may last; they eventually come to an end and yield to the Self, which alone eternally exists.

Seeker has to give up the false identification with the ‘ego or waking entity’ which is the false self(ego) within the false experience(waking) and, remember, the three states cannot exist without the formless soul, the innermost  Self, whereas the Self can exist without the three states; in fact it is always without it.

People think human being may take an animal birth in some other life. These ideas are based on accepting the present birth as reality. Soul-centric reasoning  proves the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the self is formless soul, which witness the coming and going of the three stats without the physical apparatus.   Therefore, the present birth, life and death, which is based on the waking entity  is false hood or illusion because the waking experience itself is mere illusion or falsehood.  Thus, seeker has to realize the fact that, the experience of  birth, life death and the world  are part of the illusion, therefore the rebirth and reincarnation theory is mere imagination based on the false identity(ego or waking entity), within the false experience(waking).

To the Gnani, birth, life and death, is a mere mirage, because he is fully aware of the fact that all the three states are mere illusion

To the Gnani, birth, life and death, is a mere mirage, because he is fully aware of the fact that,  all the three states are mere illusion. All the three states they appear and disappear in succession. The witness of the three states is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the birthless and deathless soul.  Thus the witness is apart from the  three states. in reality the witness and witnesses are one in essence.

When one is “awake,” he incessantly thinks, and when he goes to sleep and dream, he does not think any the lesser. But when he  pass from dreamful to dreamless sleep, his  thoughts cease and he enjoy undisturbed peace, till he  wakes again and resume his  thinking and with it his  restless, peace-less state. But all these are happening within the three states and he is aware of the experiences only in the waking experience.

Birth, life and death are part of the waking experience. The waking experience is mind, because when the mind exists, then only the duality prevails. Absent of mind absent of duality. Therefore waking/dream/mind/duality is one and the same thing.

People think life is miserable because they are not aware of the fact that the self is no the  ‘waking entity ’ but the self is formless soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states without the physical apparatus. All the three states are unreal on the standpoint of the formless  soul or consciousness, the innermost  self.  The three states and the formless  witness are one in essence.  that essence is consciousness.  thus there is no second thing exist other than consciousnesses. The Self is That

Waking  or dream(duality)  consist of nothing but experience. In deep sleep the waking and dream disappears and the experience -Free State prevails.  But soon experience appears again in the dream /astral/vision and continues till a full “waking” takes place in a new body, after another dreamless lull. This daily cycle of waking and sleeping is a miniature of the cycle of birth, life and death.

Man and the universe are part of the illusion, which exists as waking or dream. The substance of the waking, dream and deep sleep is formless soul  or consciousness or spirit from which these three states arise. To transcend birth, life and death one has to transcend the three states and abide in the eternal substance which is the true self.

The terrible fear of death is absent only in deep sleep.  The fear seize only in deep sleep. Fear is present only when sees his body and the world in waking or dream. But in dreamless sleep, or when one is under Anastasia.  Fear haunts one only when one is fully “awake” and perceive the world, including his body. If one becomes aware of the true self and learns to view and judge the worldview on the standpoint of the true self, the fear becomes part of the mirage. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the three states and become aware of the fact that, the true self, which witnesses the three states, is apart from the three states.

If one traces this fear to the object, the loss of which gives rise to it, he will find that that object exists within the waking or dream which exists in the form of the mind.

The attractive world and the senses that are touch, taste sights, sounds, smells, etc are within the waking/dream/duality.

People would be too glad to be rid of worldly life and all the problems and inconvenience it creates for them if continued awareness were vouchsafed to them. It is the awareness, the consciousness, and not the body, he fears to lose. Everyone loves existence because it is eternal awareness, which is their own Self.

The seeker of truth has to hold on to the pure awareness right now, while in the body and be free from all fear which is created out illusion.

People want to know about rebirths. Theosophy speaks of 50 to thousands-year intervals between death and rebirth. But all these are imaginations based on the false self. There is no relation between the standard of measurements of one state of consciousness and another. All such measurements are hypothetical. It must be distinctly understood that it is not the soul that comes and goes, but the three states which appear and disappear. The three states are mere illusion on the standpoint of the formless witness which is the formless  soul or consciousness, the innermost  self.

On plane of duality that is in the waking the waking world a waking body exists, in the dream, dream world a dream body exists. In dreamless sleep or in death, it remains wordless and bodiless therefore illusion less.

The Gnani, the Self- Realized man, whose mind has already ceased to act, remains unaffected by birth, life death (duality): it has dropped never to rise again as reality. The chain of illusions has snapped forever for him.

It is now clear that there is neither real birth, nor real death. It is the illusion that creates the sense of reality in duality. The sense of reality of the duality or ignorance  will prevail till it is destroyed by Self-Realization.

The man who speaks about god, scriptures and religion is not a Gnani

Many people are struck with awe or reverence at the outer indications of renunciation, and thus blindly accept a man to be a Gnani. The two have no connection. Because he has no wife, no family, and no possessions" they think man who has merely repressed these desires as though these things had anything to do with wisdom,  he is mere religious man. People are quite incompetent to judge who is a Gnani between god men, intellectuals, and yogis. A Gnani is neither god men, nor a yogi, nor an intellectual.

The man who speaks about god, scriptures and religion is not a Gnani. A yogi who speaks about yoga is not a Gnani. A God man who indulges in miracle is not a Gnani. An intellectual who argues on his own speculated theories is not a Gnani. A Gnani is the one who guides people towards the the source of the mind or physical existence is real Gnani. A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani or  guru  nor does he accept any one as disciple.

The first step is of knowing “Self" is not physical but it is formless soul or  consciousness.  The second is to know the consciousness is ultimate truth, the "whole." Then alone he knows ultimate truth  or Brahman, i.e. the truth of the  whole universe or mind.

Consciousness as Self is the key that opens the door of ultimate truth or Brahman. This understanding is certainly necessary at the first stage, when the mind is wandering. At the end the mind gets stilled and knows its formless essence and becomes one with it. Then there is no witness nor witnessed everything is one and the whole.

The formula "What is I?" presupposes the existence of an ‘I’. But this is only an assumption. Before proceeding to act on such a formula one ought first to inquire whether there is such a thing as an ‘I’.

Those who have been baffled by unsuccessful inquiry, reading, intellection, have to find out what are the obstacles on the way what is blocking them from grasping, understanding and assimilating the non-dual  or Advaitic truth.

Consciousness alone is real and form, time and space are unreal because they are one in essence.

At every stage of life, wherever one turns or goes, ignorance meets him. One always worries   what is going to happen in the future to him, or to the world? What will happen to the money if he deposits it, will it be safe? What is happening inside his  body? What is the ultimate condition of this this world? He will not get answers. Because futures have yet come, he is thinking of the past and future fears in the present. The present is always built on past and survives on the hopes of the future.   But when one becomes aware of the fact that time is mere illusion and one which is aware of the time is timeless existence, which is the consciousness.  To overcome the sense of time one has to realize the one which is aware of the form and space also is consciousness.  Thus consciousness alone is real and form, time and space are unreal because they are one in essence.

Seeker has to  inquire into the nature of the mind ,which is present in the form of  universe. How it came to be? What is it? What is it for?  Pursuit of truth is not making various theories about the Absolute, nor ornamental words, nor imagining things. It is directed towards life and has the highest value in weighing life properly.

Materialistic people  regards pursuit of truth as a waste of time. He will say "world is a reality. Everybody knows it is the world. Why waste time inquiring into it?" This attitude belongs also to the primitive man as well as to children. Therefore reasoning belongs to advanced humanity.

Science is true so far as the world of science is concerned, yoga is true so far as one is in yogic Samadhi: the yogi's experiences are not lies but truly described; all these are however only relative truths, true only from a certain narrow point of view, they come and go, they contradict each other; whereas non-dual wisdom, which is higher than all these, which is uncontradictable and does not conflict with anything else.

The question never enters the mind of the people; why are there so many contradictory religions, opinions, theories, authorities, books and men?  Non-dual wisdom is not theoretical wisdom. Philosophic speculation is not non-dual truth.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  does not belongs to any religion, because it inquiries into the value of religion just as it inquiries into the value of the whole physical existence.  Because pursuit of truth is so troublesome, people don't want to be bothered with it, but remain content with mysticism or religion, where the need of thinking is absent.

Non-dual wisdom comes only by transcending them all for it depends on un-contradiction.
Inquiry will always look thoroughly into all sides of a question, whether it is concerning a material or a spiritual matter, and decide upon it only then.

The fear and suffering is often a cause of bringing people to the pursuit of truth.  Because of contradictory arguments and conflicting conclusions—people mistook Religions for spirituality.  Many People think that ultimate truth cannot be got, but they are mistaken.  Religion will give one the goal of non-dualistic truth, i.e. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana  is  knowledge of the whole. Religion may make one happy, give satisfaction, but that is another matter. It cannot get rid of his ignorance. Therefore one must make his mind clear as to what object or goal he wants in life, because he cannot travel in opposite directions.
