Mind appears as the universe.

Deep sleep brings on a sense of nondual peace with it. This experience one gets only in the absence of mind. When one focuses his attention consciously on the formless witness of the three states leads to realize the three states are mere illusion.  The witness and the three states are one in essence. The essence is consciousness. Thus there is no second thing exists other than consciousness.

So,one gets to the real nature of the soul or consciousness by focusing the attention on the formless witness, consciously and at the same time by being aware of the body and the  world and know them consciously as consciousness alone.

Once one becomes fully aware of the fact that whatever exists as an object (body + universe) with form or shape are also consciousness because they are made of consciousness.

Thus, the deep sleep illustration can be utilized the real nature of the soul or consciousness, which is   without duality (forms and shapes). Thus,  remaining in the midst of  duality and  becoming aware of  the soul or  consciousness is the Self-awareness.

There was no mind is deep sleep. As soon as waking takes place the mind which contains, of a ready-made universe – including all men and creatures appears. The man – confronts a universe in waking or dream. The waking or dream appears as a whole and disappears as a whole.  To examine it closely, one has to analyze the three states and trace the witness of the three states is formless and apart.

One becomes aware of the fact that,  the universe or mind, which appears and disappears, is only form and shape is created out of consciousness and nothing else. The consciousness alone is positive proof and on the standpoint of the consciousness or soul as self, one becomes aware of the   falsity of this universe or mind, which is mere appearance. The one which appears as mind or the universe and disappears as no mind (soul) is consciousness alone. Therefore, the mind and soul are one in essence.

Mental analysis shows that, the existences of the formless witness, which witnesses the three states coming and going without a break. This, on closer analysis, is found to be that changeless, soul or consciousness itself.

Without the matter mind ceases to exist as mind but it exists as matter- less awareness or consciousness

The scriptures and theories and teaching based on the ego are not the yardstick. Using them as yardstick to understand and assimilate the truth will lead one towards the pursuit of arguments. Seeker of truth has to discover on his own, the truth of his true existence by inquiring “what is mind?” and “what is the substance of the mind?” and move forward.

Vedas point to it only indirectly as 'not this - not this' shows that the knowledge can be imparted to others."Whatever one  sees becomes known by the very abstract intelligence.

The seeker has to carefully analyze the underlying consciousness which, though abstract and apart from material objects, yet illumines them all the same. Know it to be the truth.

The wisdom consists in knowing the truth, that everything (universe or mind or physical existence) is consciousness. Freedom (ultimate truth) is always there yet one does not know it.  But to those whose reason is turned away from physicality and who have attained the serenity of the  formless soul, the innermost self (consciousness) are quite near to the ultimate truth.

To think once own body and his experience of the world is an illusion is a difficult matter, unless one realizes the self is not physical but it is formless soul it is difficult to have a glimpse of truth.

When one realizes the fact that, the self is not physical but the formless soul, naturally the body and the universe become illusion.

The Mind or universe  is emanating from the soul (consciousness) means the mind is being effect of consciousness is not different from it. Deeper analysis shows it. Analysis needs deeper thinking and reasoning. The mind is whole universe thus it has a form. But where is the form in consciousness (soul) because consciousness is like an ocean and mind is like a wave.  The universe is same consciousness, as the ocean produces the wave, so the consciousness produces the mind (universe).

The moment one knows the mind (universe) is consciousness, and then there is no ignorance. If one knows consciousness as self then everything is consciousness, the consciousness is second to none.  The mind is consciousness in its substance  but due to ignorance one mistakes it for something else. One thinks the self is within the body; but the self is without the body and the world.

Without the matter mind ceases to exist as mind but it exists as matter- less awareness or consciousness. Without the mind neither the world nor its perceiver can exist.

Without the matter there is no duality. Without duality there is no experience. Without experience it is non-dual reality. Therefore, whatever prevails without the mind is ultimate reality.

The true nature of the soul (consciousness) is camouflaged by the illusion/duality.  To know the truth one has to discover and realize the formless substance of the mind or illusion. One has to learn to view and judge the worldview on the standpoint the formless soul as self.

Self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana  is the prime goal of the truth seeker. This goal is hidden within the mind as its invisible substance and witness. Therefore, it is necessary inquiry, analyze and reason into the nature of mind/ duality/illusion in order to unfold the mystery of mind or duality or universe or  illusion.

All religions of the world and all philosophies of the world are based on the individuality or ego; find no answers to many questions

All religions of the world and all philosophies of the world are based on the individuality or ego; find no answers to many questions. Truth seekers all over the world are trying to find answers for themselves, and they imagine and write articles and books of their ideas and others will read and blindly accept them as truth.

We are discussing about the formless truth in the realm of untruth (duality).  If we rectify reasoning base form to formless then the words and concepts will become meaningless. To travel from ignorance to wisdom one has to use the words and concepts and as his understanding matures he has to drop them.

Everyone is not on the same level of understanding, some are in the elementary level and some are in advanced stages. In elementary stages we have to use more words and concepts to make them understand and also to overcome the inherited  samskara or conditioning, for advanced seekers are sharp enough to understand assimilate the truth with lesser words.

Spiritual pursuit is a very personal journey. Seeker of truth has to bifurcate everything which is based on the ego or waking entity or false self  such as religion, individualized God, paths and theories and philosophy.

Truth is hidden in everything and everywhere as formless substance and witness of the dual (waking or dream) and non-dual (deep sleep) experiences. To be enlightened is to know the formless substance and the witness of the three states as ultimate truth.

The formless substance and witness is the soul or spirit or consciousness.  The mind or the universe or waking (experience of diversity) rise  from the  formless soul and subsides back as the soul or consciousness. Thus, the soul is the source the mind, which is present as the universe. Universe rises as waking or dream subsides as deep sleep.

The three states are unreal on the standpoint of the formless soul or consciousness, the innermost self. Thus, the self is neither the waking entity  or ego nor the self is the dream entity  but the self is the formless soul or consciousness ,which witnesses the coming and going of the three states. Therefore, there is a need to learn to view and judge the three states on the base of soul as self, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Pursuit of truth is to know the facts of one’s true existence. To know the facts is to know the Truth. Most people are unaware of the fact that, physical existence or the universe  is mere mirage and live in a delusion Realization of  Ultimate Truth is the Gateway to freedom from experiencing duality as reality.  Therefore there is a need to realize the fact that, the formless soul or consciousness is the innermost self, and soul or consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman. There is no Truth without formless soul or consciousness.

Seeker of truth should not indulge in condemning religion and yoga or its gurus or gods and its code of conduct. But he has to highlight its fallacy for his own information, which helps him to proceed deeper with the investigation.

Seeker of truth has to mingle and discuss with like minded people but never indulge in arguments about religious doctrines and teachers and teachings and philosophies.

Religion and god and guru glorification and scriptural studies or yoga are not needed in pursuit of truth. Only one must have the intense urge to know the truth and courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth, when un-contradictable truth is revealed through inquiry analysis and reasoning.

A receptive mind free from religious and yogic or any sort of knowledge based on the ego is very much necessary to acquire the self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana.

All the accumulated knowledge of religion and yoga and paths and theories are mere dross in pursuit of truth. Religion and yoga are helpful for the mass and the society but they are a great hindrance  in unfolding the mystery of the mind.

The ignorance always flashes as 'I'.

Consciousness is neither  the body, nor the senses, nor the ego, nor the world because they are all transient. The consciousness is the pervades in everything and everywhere in the world. Thus it is not limited a thing because the whole world created out of consciousness.  Thus consciousness alone is real and all else is mere illusion.

The ignorance  always flashes as 'I'.  The  soul powers  the ‘I’.  The ‘I’ is present in the form of Mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and diapers as deep sleep. The one which is aware of the coming and going of the three states is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  When the soul becomes aware of its formless non-dual true nature in the midst of duality it is called self –awareness. It is foolish to limit the consciousness only to duality because the consciousness pervades all the three states.
The  formless soul is self-luminous.  The three states do not. The  formless soul  or consciousness is permanent the three states are  impermanent. The soul and the three states are one in essence.

When the ultimate truth is rightly known and one attains eternal life thereby. Through soul, the innermost self he gains strength and through its knowledge immortality.

Not by intellectual   speculation but only by an awakening to the reality of his true existence he gets soul-centric vision. Soul, the innermost self’s nature is like state of deep sleep.

Religion, yoga and intellectualism are not the means to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Without getting rid of the ignorance and trying to get self-awareness through religion and yoga is like a sleeping man trying to know what he is about, without waking up. As sleep is to waking, so is ordinary life to the state of realization.

Vedas point to it only indirectly as 'not this - not this' shows that the knowledge can be imparted to others

The formless soul is the innermost self. The formless soul is present in the form of consciousness. consciousness  is neither unknowable nor remains unknown at any moment.
A Gnani  can guide one to something which always remains unknown. A  Gnani  can Guide , it means that he knows what he says. This transcendental state is quite easy or may be well-nigh impossible according as one is inward bent in peace or out-moving in restlessness. It cannot be taught if it always remains unknown.

The fact that the Vedas point to it only indirectly as 'not this - not this' shows that the knowledge can be imparted to others."Whatever one  sees becomes known by the very abstract intelligence.

The seeker has to carefully analyze the underlying consciousness which, though abstract and apart from material objects, yet illumines them all the same. Know it to be the truth.

What is not self-luminous can only fall within the orbit of  the  formless witness and cannot be  formless witness itself.  Formless witness  is that by which objects are known; it cannot be what it is if it becomes the object of knowledge. What is witnessed must always be different from formless witness  itself, or else it could not be made known by it. Formless witness  in the abstract cannot admit of parts, which is the characteristic of objects. Therefore objects take on shapes. The seeker has to mentally observe the formless witness  after eliminating  the witnessed  from it. The formless witness and witnessed are one in essence.  That essence is consciousness.

Just as a mirror takes on the hues of the images, so also the consciousness assumes the different shapes of objects by virtue of its holding them within itself.

Consciousness can thus be made manifest by eliminating from it all that can be known. It cannot be known as such and such, for it is the supporter of one and all.

This, being the Self of the seeker, is not cognizable. Investigate your true Self in the aforesaid manner. There is no other agent to know the Self nor light by which to know it.
