Mundaka Upanishads: ~ So-called spiritual pundits and learned are called children because a child takes whatever it thinks as truth. The question never occurs to children “Is what I have seen or thought really  the truth?" (P.334 line 9)

Advaitic wisdom does not need the support of any Scripture or Revelation like the Veda. For it is based, not upon the varying theological fancies, which are as numerous as the sands of the sea, but upon reason, the common heritage of all mankind, irrespective of color or creed or clime.

In Vedanta it is the Lord who teaches us in the Gita and in it, he lashes out against the karmakanda. It is generally believed that the Buddha and Mahavira were the first to attack the Vedas.

It is not so. Lord Sri Krishna himself spoke against them long before these two religious leaders. At one place in the Gita, he says to Arjuna:~ "The Vedas are associated with the three qualities of sattva, rajas, and tamas.

You must transcend these three qualities. Full of desire, they (the practitioners of Vedic rituals) long for paradise and keep thinking of pleasures and material prosperity. They are born again and again and their minds are never fixed in Samadhi, these men clinging to Vedic rituals.

“In another passage, Krishna says: ~ "Not by the Vedas is Self to be realized, nor by sacrifices nor by much studies.

Bhagavad Gita 2:46:~ "A man of true knowledge who has attained enlightenment, has the same use for all the scriptures as one has for a small reservoir of water in a place flooded on all sides."

Katha Upanishad: ~  This Atman cannot be attained by the study of the Vedas, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (Ch-II -23-P-20)

Mundaka Upanishad: ~ This Atman cannot be attained through the study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Atman—by him alone is Atman attained. It is Atman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. (3 –page-70 )

Sage Sankara: ~ VC-  Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not  even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

In spirituality, the ultimate truth is God. The Atman is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.

Sage Sankara says: ~ The scriptures dealing with rituals, and rewards are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. :~Santthosh Kumaar 

Your knowledge is based on imagination is not Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.+

You are not the ‘Self’. You are bound by birth, life, death, and the world. Without realizing ‘what the ‘Self’ is supposed to be, simply saying ‘I AM THAT’ shows are mere imagining the ‘Self’. Your knowledge is based on imagination is not Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.   

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is ever nondual.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I,’, If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers. 

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The form, time, and space are connected to the ‘I’.

The experience of birth, life, death, and the world is connected to the ‘I’.

The waking experience is connected to the ‘I’.

The dream is connected to the ‘I’.

The universe in which you exist is connected to the ‘I.

The mind is connected to the ‘I’.

The Self is not the ‘I’.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The ‘I-LESS Soul is permanent because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

Why are you struggling to find out who you are? You will never find the answer if you get stuck to the ‘I’. Find out ‘what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears. What is that is aware of the coming and going of the ‘I’?

Without realizing ‘What is this ‘I’? you will never be able to realize the mystery of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is the most intoxicating stuff. Those who use the word ‘I’ for the ‘Self ‘will never be able to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.

The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding.

The ‘I’ is the cage for the Soul. ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only weapon to get rid of ignorance.

The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding. Perfect understanding of ‘what is this ‘I’ leads to the realization of the truth beyond the form, time, and space.

Advaita belongs to the whole humanity.+

All the conceptual divisions were invented by Gurus of their orthodox attitude. Where do all these concepts end? Why should confusion be created and then explained away? Fortunate is the man who does not lose himself in the garbage of superstition and dogmas but goes straight to the Source from which ‘I’ arises.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality (universe or waking) as a reality. Thus eradicating ignorance is necessary. And this is possible only through Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.   

Thus, there is no other road to freedom other than Gnana.  There is no other entrance other than Gnana.  The ignorance will vanish only when the nondual wisdom dawns. Detachment to attachment is impossible without Advaitic wisdom. Only when one realizes the fact that the Self is not the form but the Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence then only it is possible to detach the ‘Self’ from the false attachment. 

Sage Sankara, in Bhaja Govindam, says: One without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

The Advaita does belong to any religion. Advaita belongs to the whole of humanity.  The Advaitic wisdom is universal irrespective of any religion of faith one belongs to.  Religion is not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Sage  Sankara’s Advaita minus orthodoxy is true Advaita. 

Sage Sankara: ~ VC~"All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought

Sage Sankara: ~   VC Neither sacred baths nor any amount of charity nor even Hundreds of pranayamas* can give us knowledge about our own Self.  The firm experience of the nature of the Self is seen to proceed from inquiry along the lines of the salutary advice of the wise. (13)

The ‘Self’ is the formless, timeless, and spaceless Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The world in which we exist is created out of formless, timeless, and spaceless stuff. That stuff is consciousness.  

When the world,  in which you exist, is created out of consciousness then everything is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  The Soul is hidden within the illusory form, time, and space, but it is without the form, time, and space.  The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.:~Santthosh Kumaar 

There is nothing that is not God.+

Upanishads:~  All this is full /from fullness, fullness comes when fullness is taken from fullness/ fullness still remains.

 ~ This belief is all-comprehensive and allabsorbing. There is nothing that is not God.

People think God is somewhere, up there, monitoring every act of the people, guiding the lost, and uplifting the poor. God is the one who punishes the evil and rewards the benevolent.

Some people even claim of seeing them in stone idols or some conceptual belief, in inanimate or living things. Is it our faith that makes us believe that there is some supreme power above us or is it a reality, that can never be answered?  Until this conviction is there one is in the grip of the dualistic illusion or Maya. 

The dualistic illusion or Maya keeps one in ignorance of our true existence.  Therefore, there is a need to verify the fact that the ‘Self ‘, is not you but it is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. 

 When you become aware of the fact that, the ‘Self’ is the Soul, then you realize the fact that whatever is known, seen, believed, and experienced on the base of the false self is an illusion.

You are the false self within the false experience.  You are not the Self because you are the birth entity whereas the Soul, the Self is birthless and deathless.  The Soul is birthless and deathless because it is an ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, you and your experience of the world and your religion and your religious God and your accumulated knowledge is a falsehood because the waking experience is merely an illusion.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham- Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness. 

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the Self.   In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.  

From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved.   The Spirit is the parent of all that is there.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~  God is  Supreme Spirit.

If God is  Spirit, then how does man know God created the world? There is no proof. If man had seen God creating the world, he could admit it, but how could he have seen God before he came into existence? (i.e. were created). :~Santthosh Kumaar 

People think the Athma or the Soul or ‘Self’ is limited to an individual but it is not so because the Athma or the Soul or ‘Self’ pervades everywhere and everything in the universe.+*****

The world in which you exist is the product of ignorance. If there is no ignorance then the worlds in which you exist cease to exist.  Ignorance is present in the form of ‘I’. ‘I’ is not limited to the form alone because the ‘I’ is present only when the form, time, and space are present.

 The ‘I’ is absent when the form, time, and space are absent.  Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the ‘I’ itself is an illusion.

There is no point in inquiring ‘WHO AM ‘I’? WHO AM ‘I’?  ‘WHAT AM ‘I’? inquiry limited to form. It helps to expose the unreality of the ego. In later stages WHO AM ‘I’?  ‘WHAT AM ‘I’? inquiry the seekers will find it inadequate and useless to reach the ultimate end of understanding.  

Only the sincere and serious seeker will be able to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Those who are sentimentally involved with the Gurus, yogis will remain ignorant hallucinating about the promised bliss or enlightenment.  

What is the use of getting enlightenment on the false self (ego or waking entity) within the unreal world (waking)?  It will be false enlightenment.

Self-realization is to realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the formless Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  The ‘Self’ is not within the body because it pervades everything and everywhere in all three states.   Thus limiting the self to the physical body within the illusory world will not yield the truth of the whole.

 Thus, it is necessary to realize the ‘Self’ is not the ‘I’ and ‘I’ is not the Soul, the innermost Self.  The Soul, the innermost self is the witness of the ‘I’ which appears and disappears.

Some Gurus and the scriptural interpreters used the word ‘I’ to the Self and mislead the Seeking world.  these Gurus think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self and the Self is within the physical body.  

Remember, the Self is not 'I' but the Self is the Soul, witness of the 'I'.  The Soul is not within the physical body but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in the whole universe because the universe is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, the Self. 

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material (Gita 14.27)

The Soul is one but individuals are many. Many souls' idea is the religious idea. People believe the Soul is within the physical body but in reality, the Soul is hidden by the universe because the universe is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.  Advaita means the Soul, the one without the second. There is no scope for the second Soul. Advaita is ekathma vada.

Sage Sankara asks his opponents "How do you know there are separate individual Souls? Have you seen the Soul of a man? You can only say that you have seen different bodies. To say more is to misuse language. Therefore, I call you liars unless you give proof, which is impossible.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe.

So, it proves the Soul is not an individual but it is the support of all that exists in this universe.

The orthodox Asvaitic who believes their experience of birth, life, death, and the world as a reality and believes in the existence of individual souls, are ignorant people.  From the ultimate standpoint,  the present experience of birth, life, death, and the world itself is an illusion thus, many souls are part of the dualistic illusion.   The dualistic illusion is created out of single clay and that clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. 

The Soul is not limited to an individual. The individuals are many but the Soul is one. The individual exists within the universe. The Soul is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.

The Soul is not within the human body. The universe is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, whatever the universe contains is bound to be the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

All the Gurus propagated that the Soul is within the human body or heart this is a great mistake.

People think the Athma or the Soul or ‘Self’ is limited to an individual but it is not so because the Athma or the Soul or ‘Self’ pervades everywhere and everything in the universe.  The universe is merely an illusion created out of the Athma or the Soul or ‘Self’, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana

Like an ornament made from gold is Gold, that which is born out of consciousness is consciousness. Like gold is a permanent thing, in ornaments made of gold, similarly, the mind, which is in the form of the universe is born out of consciousness and is consciousness in its essence.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that you are not the Self, the world in which you exist is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, but the consciousness is specifically not an entity or identity or a thing within the world in which you exist. But it is the cause of the world in which you exist and it itself is uncaused.

The Soul is hidden by the world in which you exist. The nature of the Soul is the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Thus, it is necessary to realize the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff, which is consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God. Thus, God alone is real; the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

The seeker has to realize the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal. 

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
