Knowledge of the single stuff is Advaitic wisdom.+

Advaita is universal. Advaita is not for sale. Do not buy Advaita from the spiritual supermarket. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the Self. The world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Advaitic wisdom. 

Advaitic truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to realize because you have accumulated mental garbage from different sources in the name of Advaita. Until you discard all the accumulated knowledge you will never be able to realize the Advaitic truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. 

The Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the innermost Self shines in its own awareness when wisdom dawns. 

The Advaita is the Soul is the cause and the support of all that exists in the world in which we exist.

The Advaita is present in the form of consciousness. Advaita is the root element of the universe. From the Advaita, the universe comes into existence. In the Advaita, the universe resides. And into the Advaita, the universe is dissolved. The Advaita is the parent of all that is there. 

Katha Upanishad says:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch~ II-5 P-14)

Those who indulge in the perverted argument on their own standpoint and opinion are not seeking the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.  They just want to exhibit their accumulated knowledge accumulated from here and there.  They think what they know is the ultimate truth.

They think whatever they propagate is the ultimate truth. The question never occurs to them, “Is what I know really the truth?

Advaitic Gnana or ‘Self’-Knowledge which is contentless is not ordinary dualistic knowledge. People have no idea of the ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana yet. "Intellect" is a dangerous word to use as a translation of Gnana. For instance, some mathematical wizard has a tremendous intellect; one can follow their mathematical equations, yet does it mean that the mathematical wizard possesses Gnana or ‘Self’-knowledge? Dualistic knowledge based on a dualistic perspective is not  Advaaitic Gnana or ‘Self’-knowledge.

Gnana is usually translated as "knowledge", but that is because there is no equivalent word in English. It is more accurately "contentless consciousness" or “awareness”. Consciousness usually implies something, thoughts, or things, but in the non-dualistic or Advaitic perspective, we give it,  in addition,  the meaning of consciousness per se or awareness without an object, as in deep sleep.

Remember:~

Realizing the truth everything is made of the same substance, whether it be inside--as in dreams ~or outside as in waking is Gnana.  Realizing whatever is seen as an object, heard as sound or name is of the same substance is Gnana.

 Soulcentric Reason is not intellect. Soulcentric Reason is that which finally distinguishes between real and unreal, false and true, and therefore it takes all three states into account. Until that is attained people generally use only intellect (egocentric reason) which is confined to the waking state only. Intellect (egocentric reason) evolves into Soulcentric Reason as man realizes that the study of the waking world is not enough, and that study of all the phenomena of consciousness is required. Such a study must embrace dreams and sleep; hence there is no perfection of reason without an analysis of the three states.

The TheSoulcentric reason distinguishes the ultimate reality from the rest.' Egocentric reason discrimination between good and bad right and wrong is confined to the physical plane, it is intellect, and logic.

The Soulcentric reason is that which enables one to distinguish the real from the unreal, true from false. People do not clearly know the difference between egocentric and Soul-centric reason.:~Santthosh Kumaar 

Sage Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do orthodox belief system.+

Without Sage Sankara, there is no Advaita. Without Advaitic wisdom, it is impossible to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.  The all-pervading Reality is beyond both duality and non-duality. 

Sage Sankara says: ~ Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real is not religious truth.  Sage Sankara declared this Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back is the rational truth, the scientific truth, and the ultimate truth.

Sage Sankara’s whole wisdom can be summed up in one sentence, ‘There is nothing else but Brahman. He says that Absolute Existence, Absolute Knowledge, and Absolute Bliss are real. The universe is not real. He says that Brahman and Atman are one. The ultimate and the Absolute Truth is the ‘Self’, which is one though appearing as many different individuals. The individual has no reality. Only the ‘‘Self’’ is real; the rest, mental and physical are but passing appearances. 

Genuine philosophy must be independent of religion, that in Sage  Sankara himself’ the attributed God is a reality only in dualistic illusion.  And the attributeless God (Brahman) is the only reality and has nothing to do with religion.  

Sage Sankara pokes fun at ascetics and points out that all their austerities do not cause desires to go (Altar Flowers" Page 205, v.2 P.207 v.4)

There are two kinds of audiences ~ the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual, prayers, devotion to personal Gods, and sacrifices. And the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Religion and yoga are meant for the ignorant populace, to help lead their followers along the way.

The Jnana kanda is meant for those who wish to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time,  and space.

Those who lack the intelligence to discriminate between reality and illusion will not be able to grasp what is real and what is an illusion. Both real and unreal is consciousness, not the real alone. 

Those who have chosen the Atmic path have to drop all the Orthodox adulteration by bifurcation and dropping what is not needed to acquire ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana: ~ 

Sage Sankara: ~ 'Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? ~ utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? Actual realization takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration.  Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman then why do you indulge in studying the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman then why indulge in studying philosophy.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “There is no need to indulge in rituals, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman then why indulge in rituals.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The person who superimposes all those attributes on the changeless, eternal ‘‘Self’’ and identifies ‘‘Self’’ with the body is confusing one for the other; and is, therefore, an ignorant person. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. Therefore, why believe and worship attributed Gods in place of real God and permanently remain in ignorance of the reality, which is beyond form, time, and space.”    

Sage Sankara says “There is no need to indulge in yoga, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman then why indulge in yoga. Neither sacred baths nor any amount of charity nor even Hundreds of pranayamas* can give Self-knowledge then why indulge in yoga, pranayama dipping in the rivers, and any amount of charity when they are not the means to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani) then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani.

Sage Sankara says “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in all other types of meditation.

Sage Sankara says “Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread” then why you are sticking to the religious Gurus who wear the robes of a Sanyasin only for the sake of bread.

Sage Sankara says “One without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows then why you are sticking to your religion which will not help you to obtain Self-knowledge.

Sage Sankara says “Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by good work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman is Liberation possible, and by no other means then why you are not dropping all other means which are blocking your realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman. 

Sage Sankara says “Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise, erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for liberation then why you are after scholars explanation, when the scholars' scriptural mastery and a shower of words, the skill in expounding the scriptures are no good for liberation.

Sage Sankara says “The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known then why you want to study the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says “The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the ‘Self’ and then why you are not independently investigating and knowing the ‘‘Self’’. 

Sage Sankara says “For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one? When Sage  Sankara says “Vedas and mantras will not help you to get rid of the ignorance then why you are indulging in what is not required to acquire the ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Sage Sankara says “ A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.  

Sage Sankara says “Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the  ‘Self’, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech then why indulge in a repetition of the name of God when they are not the means to  Self-knowledge.

Sage Sankara clearly says “As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments. Therefore the wise should, as in the case of disease and the like, personally strive by all the means in their power of reason Sage  Sankara clearly says the truth is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman (Gnani)  then why you are after a Guru or yogi who is not a Gnani.

Sage Sankara says  Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated ~ yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the ‘Self’, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together Sage Sankara says the liberation cannot be the result by scholars giving sermons of all the scripture, by  Gods be invoked through sacrifices,  by performing elaborate rituals,  by propitiating the personal Gods,  by good deeds then what is the use of indulging in all these things which are useless to acquire ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  

Remember:~

As regards the rituals, Sage Sankara says, the person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view himself in terms of the caste into which he is born, his age, the stage of his life, his standing in society, etc. In addition, he is required to perform rituals all through his life. However, the ‘‘Self’’ has none of those attributes or tags. Hence, the person who superimposes all those attributes on the changeless, eternal ‘Self’  and identifies ‘Self’  with the body is confusing one for the other; and is, therefore, an ignorant person. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person.

There is no hope of Self-realization by studying the philosophies of following the religion or by practicing yoga.  

Sage  Sankara says “Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way.

There is no hope of Self-realization by studying philosophies or following the religion or by practicing yoga then why you are indulging in unwanted things which are not required to unfold the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Sage Sankara says “Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

Sage Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do orthodox belief system.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal.  Then why do you accept other wisdom without verifying its validity? Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. Only uncontradictable truth has to be accepted as the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.  

Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. 

Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Sruti, or revealed scripture.  This may be because Sage Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus, in the idea of God ~ and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter.  He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need for this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Sruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason. 

Sage Sankara is the only sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma.

Sage Sankara says “the Knower of the Atman (i.e., a Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man”, then why you are stuck up with the holy men or Gurus or Godmen or yogis who identify themselves as holy men, not Gnanis.   

Sage Sankara says How can the talk of diversity, dvaita, apply to the Supreme Reality which is one and homogeneous, Advaita? Who has ever observed diversity, dvaita, in the unmixed bliss of the state of profound sleep?:~Santthosh Kumaar 

Atman or Brahman cannot be reached by any path other than that of soulcentric reasoning.+

In ancient times, the religious Yogic discipline considered to be a means for Self-realization. But such discipline is almost an impossible task for the modern man to adopt. Day by day people are becoming aware of the fact that religion and yoga are nothing to do with the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

 The modern mindset is pre-eminently scientific owing to the great progress that science has made. And the best method of freeing the mind from its inaccurate ways of thinking is to imbue it as fully as possible with the scientific spirit. It is therefore only one who possesses a clear knowledge of its methods and results i.e., who is able to make the reason as the highest means of inquiry that would be fit for Self-knowledge.

Vedanta itself admits its highest Truth that is, Atman or Brahman cannot be reached by any path other than that of reason and unless the reason is sharper than the ‘Edge of a razor'.

One may feel satisfied with the religion, theology or mysticism in which one believes, but they are based ‘I’ which itself is an illusion. Thus, they are imagined on the base of the false self (ego) and false experience (waking).  

Religion, theology, mystic practice and yoga are not the means to acquire Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  the Absence of the reason is the absence of wisdom. 

The aim of every seeker should be to reach this highest level of Reason, by continued deeper Self-search.

Soul-centric reasoning largely covers the preliminary, indicating directly the way to the final, i.e., the rational means of attaining the goal.

 All religious, yogic and theoretical paths rely on the authority of intuitive Revelation and mystic experiences or Yogic ecstasy of Samadhi.

The most advanced seekers take the path of reason which helps them unfold the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Some have no patience to pursue till to the end. For such a mindset believe firmly that the highest stage to attain is only the theological based on authority or the mystic based on intuition and not the rational.  The highest order of Reason has to be reached with much patience.

The Soul is realized through soul-centric reasoning.  After this is attained, he realizes the fact that the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all the three states. Thus, all three states are nothing, but the illusion created out of consciousness.

Soulcentric Reason is the highest means of attaining Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  

The truth is beyond scriptures and egocentric intelligence. Thus in order to grasp, assimilate and realize the Advaitic truth the seeker to employ the soulcentric reasoning faculty. 

That is why Sage  Sankara says in the commentary in Vedanta-sutra that what is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, in something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.

Thus, Seeker of truth should not believe blindly in traditional orthodox nonduality without verifying all the facts from every angle. One has to reflect through reasoning over and over again without getting tired of the process.

There is no need to study the scriptures. One has to Self-search the truth and realize it without the scriptures. And then when he reads the scriptures he becomes aware the scriptures are also saying the same thing but everything is misinterpreted. 

Mundaka Upanishad:~ This Atman cannot be attained through the study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Atman ~by him alone is Atman attained. It is Atman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. (3 page70upanhsds by Nikilanada)

It means the ultimate truth is beyond scriptures and egocentric intelligence. Thus, in order to grasp, assimilate and realize the Advaitic truth the seeker to employ the soulcentric reasoning faculty. 

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC ~58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.

59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest which merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.

There is nothing more rational, more intelligible and more un-dogmatic insights of Sage Sri, Sankara, is to drop all the theistic nonduality or Advaita which is meant for those who are incapable and not receptive to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman. 

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Reason as a means to reality. (Chap.18 verse 37)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: ~ I cannot save you, but I can give you Buddhi (reason). (chap. 10)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: ~ "I have given you the most secret teaching, now reflect over it all" Krishna plainly says reflect, think. (Verse 63 of Chap. 18)

Mundaka Upanishad says: ~ Both states are harmful and take you away from the path of inquiry into truth. (Page 234)

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ It is not the absence of Buddhi (Reason) that can grasp Advaita but the man who possesses the highest intellect. Brains are necessary. Such a man, by merely hearing the truth mentioned will know it. (Page~ 224). 

There is no need for any philosophy in pursuit of truth because they take the seeker nearer to the truth, but they creates more doubts and confusion.

 
Sage  Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Mandukya Karika)

The reasoning is interpretable in two ways. The egocentric interpretation is to apply it only to waking experience. The soulcentric interpretation is to apply it to the three states. The latter leads to a final settlement of the problems because it takes all data into consideration. 

As we keep digging deeper and deeper, the truth will shine as pure awareness in the midst of the duality (waking). :~Santthosh Kumaar 

Realizing the God in truth is real worship.+

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the truth beyond form, time, and space.  Religion is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. Spirituality is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

All mantras are based on non-Vedic Gods. non-Vedic Gods are imaginary Gods based on the false self (ego) within the false experience(dualistic illusion). 

Realizing the real God is real worship. Whatever is based on the false God yields no fruits. It is necessary to realize what God is supposed to be in actuality. 

God is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the world and the Spirit itself is uncaused. 

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are merely an illusion. The spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion. In reality, the spirit (God) and matter (the world in which we exist) are one. 

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit), which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27). 

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit) which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than the consciousness. 

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God. 

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self. In reality,  there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists. 

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the Self. 

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5) 

Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”. 

Rig Veda declares God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and worship in place of the real God. 

Brihad Upanishad: ~ “If you think there is another entity, whether man or God there is no truth." 

Chandogya Upanishad: ~ Sarvam khalvidam brahma ~ all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality.  

 All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, in the world in which he exists as a reality. For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. 

That is why Sage Sankara:~ VC-61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together 

Sage Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. 

Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be experienced. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise.

Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.” 

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it, your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by perverted arguments.

Sage Sankara: ~"That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman  (God)."

Thus, truth realization is Self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization.  God- realization itself is real worship.:~Santthosh Kumaar  

The mantra-yoga consisting of repeating the name of God, or even the AUM; thousands of times yield nothing.+

The Soul, the ‘Self is the Infinite God. 

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Religion can never make you know God. Only an intense urge to know what God is supposed to be in truth can make you realize God. The Soul, the ‘Self is the Infinite God. 

The Soul is the   Self. God is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. God is the fullness of consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space.  Therefore, there is nothing apart from it. 

God in truth is self-evident. God in truth is not established by extraneous proof. It is not possible to deny God in truth because God in truth is the very essence of the one who denies it. God in truth is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. God in truth is hidden by the universe in which you exist, God in truth is without the universe in which you exist. 

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (spirit), the Self. 

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

People, who worship the belief of God, are hallucinating that they become one with such God.

It is impossible to know that God is everywhere. What is God?  God of belief cannot exist without duality. In nondual reality, there is no man, no world, and no belief in God.

God with forms and names has no meaning in the realm of truth. It is a mere imagination or assumption.  It is high time to realize all the belief-based Gods are not God in truth according to your own scriptures.

People who stuck to their religious beliefs and think scriptural authorities as the ultimate truth will not be able to assimilate Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.   Soul, which is the true Self, is nothing to do with religion and its code of conduct. Observing and following the religious code of conduct are accepting the false Self as the true Self. 

Accepting so-called spiritual laws is accepting the illusion as reality. The laws are a reality within the duality.  The one who thinks of the existence of spiritual laws is accepted as a person perceiving the world that is accepting himself as the doer. When the man is not the doer, how the actions are done on the base of false identity can yield fruits.

How can you worship the Absolute? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshipped, whereas the Absolute is nondual. One can worship his idea of the Absolute only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as a part.

The Upanishads say in effect that: ~ If you believe that the ‘the Soul, the Self is one and God (Brahman) is another you cannot understand Truth.

Sage Sankara: ~"That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman  (God in truth)."

Thus, truth realization is Self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization.  God=realization itself is real worship.  

Some Gurus recommended repeating God’s name as a spiritual practice but what is the use of such practice without knowing ‘what God is in actuality.  Such practices are based on religious God. Religious Gods are not God in truth.

God does not have a name because God is not an individual,  but God is the  Spirit. The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. 

From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there. 

Belief in religion and religious God makes the Soul permanently remain in ignorance.  Ignorance makes the Soul experience the duality as reality. Belief implies duality. The duality is not reality.  Thus the path of bhakti, the path of karma, and the path of yoga are based on the dualistic perspective, therefore, they are the path of ignorance. Therefore, the seekers who are searching for ultimate truth or Brahman have to discard all the egocentric paths in order to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24) 

 Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~   It has been said that God is Supreme or Supreme Spirit.

Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham- Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material (Gita 14.27)

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness. 

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self.   In reality,  there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

If God is the formless Spirit, then how does man know God created the world? There is no proof. If man had seen God creating the world, he could admit it, but how could he have seen God before he came into existence? (i.e. were created).

The religion preaches that God is one and the ways to God are many. It simply tries to lead them to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which is apart from the Self. 

Remember:~

People all over the world in the past and present accepted the idea of the existence of God.  The fear of God injected by religion was the root cause of worship, superstitions,  and dogmas.  Religious belief is passed on to the populace from one generation to the next generation

GOD, we do not see is real. God is hidden by the world in which we exist because the world in which we exist is created out of God.  From the standpoint of God, the world, in which we exist, is false.

In reality, the world in which we exist does not really exist and what does not exist for us, really exists.

By worshipping God in human form, repeating mantras is like watering barren soil.  The seeker of truth should not waste life in empty formalities. Without realizing the world in which he exists, it is an illusion it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The mantra-yoga consisting of repeating the name of God, or even the AUM; thousands of times yields nothing. It can appeal only to the ignorant, to those who cannot think deeper. It is a mere religious fable. The real exercise is to think of the meaning of the name or the AUM and then only you get something.

Mantras can do nothing. If they really had any power why did not Krishna use one to stop the Mahabharata war? All the magical power of mantras is a religious fable because religion is based on the false Self(waking or ego) and false experience(waking or the world)  Visions and Samadhi are illusions from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~ VC- 63~ Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman(God)? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

People of small intelligence follow religion and believe that the world was created by God. But how do they know that He did so? When a pot is created, one can see both pot and its maker, but not in the case of the world.

The people believe in the belief of God. They are unaware of the fact that what God is supposed to be in actuality.  They merely fear God's mighty Being, who rewards the good and worthy and punishes the wicked.

Sin and karma injected by the religious founders the fear of punishment of hell created by God that they fear.

The belief in religious God is not God in truth. Holding religious belief as God is holding an illusion as a reality because the belief is possible only within the realm of duality. Duality is merely an illusion from the ultimate standpoint.  Without the blind belief-based God, religion holds no water. 

Belief is not God. Belief needs a believer.  The believer needs to be born in this world. If the believer is born then he is part of the illusion.   Without the believer, there is no belief.  The believer and his world and his belief in religious God are part of the illusion because the Self is birthless because the Self is formless. 

The one, which is born, lives, and dies, is not the Self. The Soul, the Self is a formless substance and witness of the falsehood (universe or waking or illusion), which is the Soul or consciousness, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman.  

By believing and worshiping what is not truth (God), one is in the prison of the dualistic illusion.  Truth realization or Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship. :~Santthosh Kumaar
