It is not the body, which knows itself as the body

Many people get confused when the word soul is used.  The word soul is an indicator to higher truth.  Different words are used for the same by different people. Buddha called it emptiness/nothingness, Sri, Sankara called is Brahman/ultimate truth, christen called it Christ consciousness/ sprit, intellectuals called consciousness, Ramana called it Self. Thus, what harm is there in using the word soul, which is mere pointer to core of the true existence, which is not physical?   Because one has  the soul, which knows his  body and his experience of the world he is  able to exist as a person and he is  able to believe whatever he  want to believe and reject whatever he do not want believe.
With what one knows his body and his  name, and his  worldly activities? It is not the body, which knows itself as the body.  Without the knower which is the self, the body is insentient or dead. The one which knows itself as body, and functions itself as person, and perceives the world, is not the body, but the consciousness [self].   Therefore, thinking the body as self and trying to understand and assimilate and judging  truth, will keep one in the grip of duality and makes him physical base pundit, and also  makes him egoist, who thinks whatever his accumulated knowledge is truth, without bothering to verify the facts, and always judgemental and arguing  on his own point of view.   There is no scope of argument in pursuit of truth, because the ultimate truth is based on the formless self, and your arguments are based on the form [ego] as self.   The truth is beyond physicality.
The ultimate Truth demands some thinking.  Those who require mental spoon feeding, for them it is difficult to grasp.  It is only possible to finger point to the reality and indicate the direction.  It is not possible to make one realize the truth; it is for the seeker to verify on his own -through, deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning and realize it.  Seekers  who will approach  with receptiveness    as they should be approached  may conceivably pause at any time and say , these pointers are helping them  to think  on their  own   and assimilate the  knowledge and understanding   in proper  and perfect way .
One who is unaware of the fact that, how the physical body is able to function itself as a person, and perceive the world and with what he is able to know himself and his experience of the world, for him it is impossible to grasp the truth.  For the people who are trying to judge the truth on physicality /intellectuality the truth is distant dream.
Self is the Spirit the unchanging unlimited, immanent, and beyond the physical experience and it is the formless source of the waking/dream/deep sleep experiences. The one who become aware of the true self is the spirit, has realized his identity with spirit as true self.
Soul, which is Absolute Reality, is the true self.   True Self is in the form of spirit and it   eternal, genderless, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and ultimately indescribable in human language.
Objectless awareness means, the natural state of the mind. That is in midst of the experience of diversity, knowing whatever is seen, known, and believed and experienced has erupted from single substance, which is non dual spirit. Thus, seeing all the objects as spirit, nothing but spirit is objectless awareness in spiritual sense. Objectless awareness is the nature of the self. Only through wisdom; the seeking mind can enter the state of objectless awareness.

It is necessary to know the true self before indulging in pursuit of truth

When the yogi thinks his body as self and sits to meditate.  He is thinking his -self to  be the physical body; and tries to get rid of his thoughts. It means he has accepted his-self to the body. Thus, he is trying to experience the Samadhi as a person. That means he is basing his self on the false identity within the false experience.  Therefore, yogic Samadhi practiced and experienced on the false physical entity. Whatever is based on the physical entity has to be falsehood. Therefore it is very much necessary to know the fact that true self is not physical but it is formless.   It is his bondage, that he practices Samadhi meditation on the base of his false identity. Thus it is necessary to know the true self before indulging in pursuit of truth.

Seeker has to put aside the imagination and have the thinker.  One can get only a thought through thinking. The thinker and the thoughts are part of the duality, not of the reality. Meditation is only an effort of the physical self/ego; it is mere imagination or an idea.  The truth  is self  remains the same with or without duality.

When soul /self’s attention is riveted to the world, it is in forgetfulness of itself. All external objects an internal ideas are mental. When one is absorbed in thinking of anything he is either in waking or in dream.  As a person within the waking or dream he unaware of the subject which is the spirit/true self.

Thinking body as subject and observing everything is the cause of the ignorance. The subject is neither the body nor the mind.  Soul/self, witnesses the body and world together. That is it witnesses the waking and dream like T.V show.

The true Self witnesses all these three states which appear and diaper in succession. The objects within the waking dream are mental; hence they are mere mirage created out of Atman. When the physical structure is dismantled through wisdom mentally, whatever prevails without the physical structure is spirit which is ultimate truth.

One has to think hard to remove the ignorance.

Seeker of truth has to begin to discriminate first with his   words; then with his   ideas; then with his   outlook; then with his life and lastly with his consciousness.

By physical based practices such as yoga and rituals one does not get at ultimate truth. One has to think hard to remove the ignorance.

The birth, life and death are part of the known, and not of the formless knower. The knower is not an object of imagination but the subject which is responsible for the object to exist.

The self knowledge is not for those who lack the intelligence to discriminate between the subjects [formless] and object [form]. Both witness and witnessed are spirit, not witness alone.

Nondual Truth can ever change.  The nature of nondual truth is this: It can never be changed under any circumstances. It may be misrepresented. It must apply to the whole of existence, to all the three states.

As the deeper analysis points out It is in the waking/dream alone that one has all changes. The witness remains unchanged. The witness, as such remains immortal. It can never die for it never changes.

The waking or dream is witnessed, and goes, but the witness or knower of the three states, can never go. Seeker of the truth has to take this principle as his guiding thread and assimilation becomes easy. The witness can never be subject to the changes of the witnessed; it is unchanged. The mistake usually made is that witness becomes witnessed, or that witnessed is witness.

Absence of contradictions is possible only in absence of duality; where there is no second thing. If there is duality then there is contradiction. The contradiction between witness and witnessed.  The experience" is witnessed. Diversity implies contradiction, and it implies that two things are not the same, hence duality exists there.

The soul and mind are one in essence. Ignorance of the soul the mind becomes reality and becoming aware of the soul the mind becomes illusion.

Soul is only imaginary in the realm of duality, and mind is myth in the realm of the soul/self.  All ideas of immortality and eternity are ideas within the duality. The duality is falsehood/ideas on the standpoint of soul, which is the true self.

The duality is apart from soul because it is prior to appearance of duality. The duality is mere an object to the soul/self. The mind is mere mirage created out of the soul /spirit. The people who claim to have a vision of the highest or describe it as supra-mental etc. does not understand the soul as self, because it is free from physicality and it exit prior to any appearance.

Ordinarily knowledge arises from experience of object by a subject; that all knowledge of objects will only lead to more thinking but never give one ultimate truth. Intellectual’s try and get more objective experience because they base themselves on physical proof.  .” the intellectuals can never get at ultimate truth that way because it leads to endless thoughts and because they ignore the soul, which is the true self and is the formless substance and witness of the duality/falsehood. Seekers of truth have to inquire, analyze and reason to find ultimate truth.

Investigations into objects are useful empirically; but only that seekers of truth should not delude themselves that this is the correct path to final reality.

No one as a person   can see the awakening of consciousness, because awakening happens when ignorance is disappears.  Ignorance disappears when the mind becomes one with the soul. Only through nondual wisdom/self-knowledge   one becomes aware of the three states are mere mirage created out of the soul/spirit/self, in the midst of the waking/mirage.   The waking or dream is witnessed by the soul or spirit without the physical eyes.

Claiming himself to be god or agent of god is   not spirituality but hypothesis, because in the realm of truth noting exists other then spirit, which is the true self and ultimate truth.

The ignorance is due to the self is considering itself as physical entity and perceiving the world

The  ignorance is due to the self is considering itself as physical entity and perceiving the world. When the self is the formless soul, how the physical entity/ego can be the self. Therefore it is necessary to decide, whether the physical entity /ego is the self or something other then the physical entity/ego is the self, in order to unfold the ultimate truth.

The witness is not the physical entity but the one that witnesses the waking or dream as the whole, which appear, and disappears as a whole. Thus, the individual experiences are part of the waking and dream cannot be real on the standpoint of the soul, which is permanent.

In order to overcome the duality, the seeking mind has to reflect steadfastly to the nature of the mind, to realize the mind is mere mirage. Therefore, the happenings within the mirage have to be part of the mirage. Thus, individual experiences such as birth, life and death has to be the part of the mirage. Constant reflection on the formless witness helps the seeking mind to divert its attention from the physical existence to its formless existence.

All the accumulation of physical based knowledge and physical activities are the cause of the impurity of the self. Mind means impurity. Purity means the soul/self in its formless non-dual nature.

Purification of the mind means discarding the physicality. Mind cannot be purified through yoga, religious rituals or intellectual thinking or scriptural studies but realizing the fact that the physical entity /ego is not the self ,and also knowing what is mind and what is the substance of the mind. The physical existence that appears as waking or dream sustained due to physical attention. Once the attention of the soul/self is in itself, the physical existence disappears. In deep sleep, the attention of the soul/self is on itself, therefore, there is no duality. Thus, there is a need to know the waking entity is not the self but the true self is the one, which witnesses the three states. Deep sleep is not the self, but the knower of the three states is the true self. The nature of the true self is like deep sleep.
By becoming conscious of the formless witness of the three states leads to self-realization. Self-knowledge frees the seeking mind from experiencing duality as reality.

Self—knowledge is the direct and infallible means of being aware of the ever-present and all enveloping the soul/self. The experience of duality is caused by the ignorance of the soul/self. Self-knowledge is only sure antidote. Through self-knowledge, the seeking mind is able to focus its attention on the very source from where the mind rises and subsides.

Self-knowledge is the potent tool to live a life, which is free from the illusion of birth, life and death. Self-knowledge validity will remain untouched by time. The entire search ends when one assimilates the self-knowledge. The self-knowledge helps to replaces, envelops and fills the space occupied by the illusory physical existence. That is, it helps to realize mind is created out of spirit, sustained by spirit and finally it dissolves as spirit.

Holding the physical body/ego as self is an error, which has to be rectified before proceeding in deeper in pursuit of truth. It is no use of wasting time in physical based accumulated knowledge. The inquiry on the physical base will not yield any fruits. Until and unless the seeking base is rectifies from form to formless it is difficult o understand and assimilate the non-dual truth.
People are stuck with their inherited accumulated ideas, and they refuse to verify the validity of their belief. Deeper inquiry revels the fact that, neither the body, nor the’ I’ is the true self. Therefore, it is necessary to find the true self , then base everything on the true self and judge the truth on the base of the true self.

On the base of the physical entity/ego, it is impossible to assimilate the self-knowledge. There is no use of searching for truth in religion and religion based realities or physical based meaning of life. The fundamental error is taking the ‘I’ as self and viewing judging the three states on the base of the ‘I’, which is the false self, within the false experience.

The core of one’s existence is ever empty and is untouched by duality /illusion

The core of one’s existence is ever empty and is untouched by duality /illusion; it is the source of the mind from where the mind rises and subsides and it is   ultimate reality, it belongs entirely to itself, which is never part of the unreality.
It is like a pure diamond blazing with the invisible light. It is in everything and everywhere in the three states, and if one could observe it mentally, he would grasp the truth all the diversity/illusion caused by ignorance vanishes completely.
An important part of pursuit of truth is being receptive to receive the truth.  Some find it easier to be receptive, and some find it hard because they want everything to be within the scope of their preconceived ideas.

When one is receptive he does not barricade himself to fresh flow of knowledge derived from deeper thinking. He does not try to defend himself on his accumulated ideas, but he is open to the mystery by inquiring what he believes in.

When one is not trying to find himself within some particular concept or feeling, then the receptiveness expands until his true identity becomes more and more the clearer, rather than sticking to  some belief or a particular feeling in the physical body. It is not to get rid of thoughts or feelings or experience, but just not to feel located inside of them.
