The universe exists because you exist. Without your existence universe ceases to exist.

The universe exists because you exist.  Without your existence universe ceases to exist.  Thus your existence is important for the existence of the universe.  You exist, because the universe exists. Thus existence of the universe is necessary for your existence because you exist within the universe.  Thus you and the universe co-exist together.  Thus it is necessary to know, how the universe which contains everything exists, not the things bifurcated by form and names within the universe.

Whatever Plants, animals, people, planets, stars, and ocean mountains everything, which is seen, known and believed and experienced as person are within the universe.  The universe appears when the mind (I) appears and universe disappears when the mind (I) disappears. Thus, it is necessary to realize the mind is in the form of universe, which appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.

Mind is universe, because when the mind (I) is there then only the universe is there.  The ego, body, universe appear together and disappear to gather.  Limiting the mind (I) to the physical entity is cause of the ignorance.  The body, ego, universe ceases to exist without the mind.  If one of these is absent then the mind is also absent.  Thus mind is the  whole universe, which appears as waking or dream(duality)  and disappears as deep sleep(non-duality)    Thus one which is aware of the appearance and disappearance of dual and non-dual experiences is not the form( mind or universe) but formless(consciousness).

The consciousness (soul) is the true self. The true self is the source of the three states. These three states deceive; the people fail to look beyond them to its source, which is real, supreme and imperishable. The three states are mere mirage/illusion. It is difficult to overcome the illusion without the wisdom. But one can cross over this illusion, by realizing and becoming aware of the fact that, the self is not physical but it is consciousness.

People are deluded by illusion, because they have immersed in the illusion experiencing it as reality. They are ignorant because they think the self is physical and birth, life, death and world as reality. Having lost all discrimination, they follow the way of their physical nature. When ignorance vanishes through wisdom then only it is possible to negate the illusion, the mortal becomes immortal. When all the physical shackles that strangle the self are loosened, the mortal becomes immortal, here in this very life.

The ultimate understanding is: Nothing has actually been created. All that appears is mere mirage. Everything is consciousness and nothing can be a part of it. No second thing exist other than consciousness, neither the man nor the world, which contains all the objects exits in non-dual reality.

Conceptual God too is an illusion because such god can exist only in illusion.

The religious and philosophical teachings are like oil and water.  They cannot be mixed together and in future one will have to make his choice between them, if he wishes to progress and not to remain stagnating.

One has to   define Truth, which his prime goal in two phases:

v  It is that which is beyond all contradictions

v  It is universal

Ultimate truth must be based on reason, not on revelation. People from all over the world have studied and carried yoga and Vedanta  to their people; now it is time to do research  by bifurcating all the add-ons, which are main obstacles  in realizing the universal truth.

The religion and its code of conduct are for those who are incapable of inquiring the validity their belief system.   Self-knowledge is not a philosophical dish cooked to suit exclusively the palate of the particular religion.  It is like the air and the water; the common food of all seekers in all over the globe to realize the fact that, the experience of diversity (mind or universe) is mere mirage unity (consciousness) alone is real and eternal.  When one realizes the unity in diversity then there is no conflict whatsoever.

God men and even by texts, that the universe does not exist or if it does seem too, it is merely an illusion because, universe, which is in the form of mind itself is an illusion. Conceptual God too is an illusion because such god can exist only in illusion.   The formless substance and witness alone is real and eternal.  Thus whatever seen, known, believed and experienced as person within the world is mere illusion.  Thus there is need for perfect understanding, analyzing, assimilating and realizing the ultimate truth.

Reducing everything to an entirely homogenous, sole Reality—Mind.  The body, ego and the universe, are nothing but mirage, which is in their turn, reducible to pure Consciousness itself, the only Reality.

The "direct road" of non-dual wisdom, leads to the realization of this truth.  The "cosmological path,” that of religion and yoga, does not leads to Reality, because it considers the birth, life, death and, universe and a personal God as real.

The experience of birth, life and death is an illusion within an illusion! The suffering humanity of a dream does not expect our help, nor does the sage see any service to render to a world within the waking experience which is mere mirage!

When the self is genderless then it is impossible to get enlightenment through sexual intercourse or tantric sex.  It is impossible to get freedom by taking sanyasa or renouncing the worldly life which is mere body based theories. When the self is not physical then what value is there to take sanyasa or renouncing the worldly life? One has to renounce the ignorance, which is the cause of experiencing the illusion (body+ universe) as reality.

If one thinks non-dual truth is the ultimate truth, then one has to drop all theories based on the physical body (ego or waking entity) as self, because non-dual truth is based on the consciousness (soul), which is the true self.

By accepting karma theory one is  accepting the false self, as real self, and world as reality, therefore there is no need for Self-inquiry “Who am ‘I’? “, because one has  accepted the present physical identity and world as reality.  Self-inquiry makes one realize the fact that self is not the body. After knowing the fact that self is not the body, then it is erroneous to think again as the body as self, and holding the body based theories as reality.  Thus karma theory becomes a biggest obstacle in the path of inquiry and truth, because it does not allow the seeker to cross the threshold of duality.

The physical body and the world which exist only in waking/dream/duality are impermanent and illusory in nature, because they appear and disappear as mind. The soul which is the formless substance and witness of the duality is permanent. Therefore, whatever is seen known and believed and experienced as real within the waking also is as real as dream.

Sri,Sankara says in Aparokshanubhuti:-

   88. When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman, and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?
  89. O enlightened one; pass your time always contemplating on Atman while you are experiencing all the results of Prarabdha; for it ill becomes you to feel distressed.

90. The theory one hears of from the scripture, that Prarabdha does not lose its hold upon one even after the origination of the knowledge of Atman, is now being refuted.

91. After the origination of the knowledge of Reality, Prarabdha verily ceases to exist, inasmuch as the body and the like become non-existent; just as a dream does not exist on waking.

92. That Karma which is done in a previous life is known as Prarabdha (which produces the present life). But such Karma cannot take the place of Prarabdha (for a man of knowledge), as he has no other birth (being free from ego).

93. Just as the body in a dream is superimposed (and therefore illusory), so is also this body. How could there be any birth of the superimposed (body), and in the absence of birth (of the body) where is the room for that (i.e., Prarabdha) at all?

94. The Vedanta texts declare ignorance to be verily the material (cause) of the phenomenal world just as earth is of a jar. That (ignorance) being destroyed, where can the universe subsist?

 95. Just as a person out of confusion perceives only the snake leaving aside the rope, so does an ignorant person see only the phenomenal world without knowing the reality?

    96. The real nature of the rope being known, the appearance of the snake no longer persists; so the substratum being known, the phenomenal world disappears completely.

     97. The body also being within the phenomenal world (and therefore unreal), how could Prarabdha exist? It is, therefore, for the understanding of the ignorant alone that the Shruti speaks of Prarabdha.

     98. “And all the actions of a man perish when he realizes that (Atman) which is both the higher and the lower”. Here the clear use of the plural by the Shruti is to negate Prarabdha as well.

   99. If the ignorant still arbitrarily maintain this, they will not only involve themselves into two absurdities but will also run the risk of forgoing the Vedantic conclusion. So one should accept those Shrutis alone from which proceeds true knowledge.

The above proves that the karma is reality only on the base of false self, where one thinks body and the universe as reality. When one becomes aware of the fact that, the true self is formless soul, then the karma becomes part and parcel of illusion.   My point is that, if one accepts the karma theory as reality, he will never be able to come out of the ignorance. And ignorance makes him believe the cycle of birth, life and death as reality.  Thus the freedom which one is seeking will remain distant dream. For the one who accepts the birth life and death as reality, Self-knowledge is impossible.

Thus it is necessary for the seeker of truth to know the fact that, the body which is born, lives and dies is not the self. Since he is taking the body to be the self, he is experiencing the duality as reality.

As Sri, Sankara said:  When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman, and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman.

If body or ego  is not the self, then the karma theory has no meaning on the standpoint of the truth. Thus no second thing exists other than soul or consciousness, therefore it is erroneous to view the worldview on the standpoint of the body or ego  as self (I) when the body  or ego  is the false self within the false experience.  thus it is necessary to view and judge the worldview on the standpoint of  the formless  soul or consciousness  is the real self to unfold the mystery of the mind or universe.

If body is not the self, then the birth, life, death and the universe are bound to be illusion.  If birth, life and death are illusion then all conducts actions and their fruits are mere illusion. If body is not the self, then the existence of god, heaven and hell is mere illusion.  If body is not the self then all religious beliefs of god is mere illusion.

If body is not the self but the formless soul,  which is in the form of consciousness is the true self, then there is no scope for second thing other than consciousness.  therefore formless  soul or  consciousness or  Atman is Brahman or ultimate truth.  The Brahman alone is real and eternal.  Thus whatever is real eternal has to be identified as God. To identify the real and eternal, one has to overcome the ignorance caused by the illusion. To overcome the ignorance one has to acquire the Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Essence of Astvakara Gita is: - Realizing Atman or soul as self, the liberation is possible in this very life right here and right now, not in the next life /next world.Religion, theories scriptures and concept of god are created as tool for conditioning the mass mind set, to control their individualized mind, to self-judge, what is good and what is evil, with the fear of conceptual god, who will in turn punish them, or reward them with good or bad life, in life after life which is only illusion.  And this fear helps to maintain peace and harmony in the society to some extent. But man and world exist within the mind and mind is myth on the standpoint of the soul as self, thus all the theories based on the false hood, have no relevance in the realm of the non-dual truth.   Therefore, individual actions and conducts are not the means to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

There cannot be delusion or suffering when oneness is realized.  One cannot know Truth if one has not mastered the analysis of the three states of consciousness.

By reading and reflecting, constantly on the subject matter, one understands assimilates the hidden reality. Consciousness, the Supreme Reality, is the undifferentiated One. Everything, in the final analysis, is reducible to the ultimate essence, Consciousness.

Sri, Ramana Mahaarshi said: scriptural knowledge is conceptual divisions invented by teachers of philosophy by their excessive analysis. Where do all these concepts end? Why should confusion created and then explained away? Fortunate is the man who does not lose himself in the labyrinths of philosophy, but goes straight to the source from which they all arise.

Ramana Maharshi indicated the direct path to the truth, is the source from which the false arises. Thus the source is the soul/ Atman, which is the true self. Atman itself is Brahman.  Thus it is necessary to view the worldview on the base of the source, which the true self, and formless substance and witness of the experience of diversity. Thus deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base, one can acquire the self –knowledge in lesser time and effort.  The unity in diversity is possible only through self-knowledge not by mastering the scriptural knowledge.

One has to bifurcate the traditional  Advaita (orthodox)  which is meant for the mass mind set, who are incapable inquire to verifying their inherited beliefs.  But for the seekers truth, to get the pure essence of non-duality which is based on the formless soul. The path of inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base, leads one towards the non-dual destination.  Therefore, there is need to rectify the seeking base from ego base to soul base to understand, assimilate and realize the non-dual truth.

Ramana Maharshi says: this self –inquiry is not the critical study of the scriptures. When the source is reached the ego gets merged into it. The result of self-inquiry is the cure for all the sorrows. It is the highest of all the results. There is nothing greater then it.  It only indicates there is no necessity to study the scriptures to acquire self-knowledge. [Page-66-practicle guide to know yourself c/e by A.R.N].

Ramana Maharshi  says:
Q by D:- Is not necessary to study the Vedas or at least the Prasthanatraya [the Bhagavad Gita,Dasopanishad and Brahma Sutras, all with commentaries]to ensure firm realization?

Ramana Maharshi:-No. Do you need all that to see yourself? All that is intellectual wealth, useful in explain doubts and difficulties if others rise them or if you yourself encounter them in the course of thinking. But to attain realization, all that is not necessary. You want fresh water to drink, but you do not require all the water of the river Ganges to quench your thirst. [Page 111/112 of Practical guide to know yourself c/e by A.R.N].

This surely indicates Sri, Ramana Maharshi’s path is independent path nothing to with the religion and Scriptures.

The universe or mind is unreal means it has no separate, independent existence.

The universe or mind is unreal means it has no separate, independent existence.  It cannot exist just be by itself.  It has inter be with consciousness which, is the true self.   The universe or mind is mere mirage appears as waking or dream [duality] and disappears and deep sleep [non-duality]. The one formless knower [witness] of the appearance and disappearance of these dual and non-dual experiences is real and eternal.      Thus the three states unreal on the standpoint of the real, which is formless consciousness. Thus, it is necessary to learn to view   the three states on ultimate point of view not on the standpoint of the waking entity, which is the false self.

Seeker has to look deeply in to the three states and discover that none of the three states can be independent; they are dependent on the consciousness, which is the true self.   So, all the three states are of the consciousness alone.  Thus, the universe is consciousness because it is created out of consciousness. Consciousness is universe because universe has no separate existence apart from the universe. Thus, the consciousness pervades in everything and everywhere in universe, which is in the form of mirage.

The mind is myth on the ultimate standpoint.   Thus universe in which the birth, life and death takes place is also is myth because it takes place within the mirage.   Thus it is erroneous to spin yarn of imagination about non-duality on the base of the waking entity, which is the false self.  Therefore, the true self has to be traced and realized to understand and assimilate the non-dual truth.

Only the path of reason one can reach the non-dual destination without any teaching or teacher.  By accepting oneself as some one’s guru or some one’s disciple and following some one’s teaching without verification is greatest obstacle in pursuit of truth. Non-dual truth is universal truth, it belongs to the whole humanity and it is not the commodity, which can be bought from the market.

Nondual truth is un-contradictable truth it cannot be attained by discussing and arguing on base of some teachings.

Self-knowledge or nondual wisdom does not need the support of any Scripture or Revelation like the Veda. Ultimate truth is based, not upon the varying theological fancies, which are as numerous as the sands of the sea, but upon reason, the common heritage of all mankind, irrespective of colour or creed or clime.
Essence of scriptures:-DEHUM-NAHUM- KOHUM – SOHUM— which indicates the body is not the self, the self is that which is without the body. Thus one can conclude, if the body is not the self then the body based religion and theories, beliefs, practices rituals and yoga are of no use in pursuit of truth.
Therefore, all the personal research is for making sure, which is the surest and easiest path to acquire self-knowledge, when we are confused with uncertainty which path easier for to acquire nondual truth or self-knowledge. Seekers thought have to be rational and scientific, opposed to blind faith in God and tradition. One has to have a clear distinction between religions, which is in the realm of opinion.  And pursuit of truth aims at knowing Reality or ultimate Truth.

Those who realize that consciousness is everywhere in everything are no longer separate from others and the universe.

There is no such thing as the "I," one cannot live for his-self, whether "He” is an individual, a family, a community, a nation or a race.  It is not truth and therefore such separation will go, even though it will take a long time.

There is necessity of renouncing ignorance is born of an illusion, an erroneous belief in the reality of a separate "me": those who realize that consciousness is everywhere in everything are no longer separate from others and the universe.   One cannot really separate himself from universe because man and universe appear together and they disappear together.

Realizing the difference between the seen [waking/dream] and the formless witness/soul, when the soul gets disunited from `seen [waking/dream]' and established in identity with itself, which is the supreme Spirit, one is said to have known liberation from duality.

While dreaming one is being reminded his waking state, he comes to recognize the dream, therefore, he wake up. Immediately he realizes that waking is the only means of escape from the woes of the dream state.

Even so the seeker of truth following the path of self-Knowledge, while perceiving the difference between the Seen [waking/dream] and the Formless Witness [soul/self], comes to realize the apparent connection with the Seen was due to mistaken identity.

The seeker is able to re-establish the real connection and recognizes real identity [soul]. – The Truth, Consciousness and Bliss solidified. Such a seeker is said to have come to know his /her liberation from duality. The moment this truth is realized, the entire realm of objective reality becomes unreality along with ignorance and Truth -Realization takes place immediately.

People firmly think a guru /god men /pundit as source of self-knowledge.

To explain to beginners   to study the path of truth in layman’s language and as brief as possible is a hurricane task. One has to indulge in pursuit of truth without using religion/scriptures/yoga and god glorification, how would they do, when they   firmly think a guru /god men /pundit as source of self-knowledge.

Part of the readiness of any person to listen to any kind of knowledge, including worldly knowledge, is the willingness to hear and the necessity to ask for that specific knowledge.
Preaching is not teaching. Someone willing to know the truth must realize the fact that, there is “no need to study the Scriptures, and indulge in religious rituals   and there is no need practice yoga?

The nature of the true self is non-doer ship, and the qualification `One' to elevate its non-dual nature in the experience of diversity, to bring unity in diversity.  That is to say, just as the one sun lights up the entire universe, so does the one Self infuse life and activity into the waking/dream world .

Through different mental apparatuses, the Self appears to manifest itself differently in different bodies, but it is for the seeker to realize the fact that, the man and the world appears within the waking/dream. Without the waking/dream, the man and the world cease to exist. Thus, waking/dream are mental states, and they are impermanent in nature. Thus seeker has to indulge in deeper thinking through inquiry, analysis and reasoning to get the firm conviction about these facts.

Nevertheless, like the sun, the Self neither performs the actions pertaining to the bodies nor does it cause them to be performed, nor is it tainted by evils like duality or partiality etc. because all man is the doer within the world and world exits within the waking/dream. The self is the formless witness of the three states.  That to immortal Self ever remains pure, conscious action-less, immutable, unchanged, impartial and stainless under every circumstance.

Dispelling one's ignorance is important for the realization of the non-dual truth. The means of dispelling ignorance is possible only through perfect understanding derived from inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base.

By means of non-dual wisdom one is able to realize that man and the world are within the experience of duality [waking/dream] and waking and dream is an object the true self which is the subject.

Waking/dream  is knowable, subject to change, perishable, mutable, material and transient; whereas the Soul/ true self  is its knower, conscious, changeless, action-less, eternal, imperishable, unattached, pure, of the same stuff as Knowledge, and one; that the two being wholly diverse in character.

The true self/soul is entirely different from the `waking/dream/duality'; that the apparent identity of. The two is rooted in ignorance; that, in reality, the `true self/soul ' has no connection whatsoever with the `waking/dream/duality '. This is what is meant by perceiving with the eye of wisdom the difference between the `waking/dream/duality / mind ' and the `the formless witness/soul'.
