Holding on to the awareness that the formless consciousness as the real Self is the goal.

There are diverse spiritual practices in the form of prayers, meditation, yoga, tantra, glorifying the guru or god, meditation and inquiry. etc.

What the goal of spiritual practice might be is described differently in various religions and traditions. In some religions, the goal of spiritual practice is to go to heaven and be with angels, divine beings, and God. In some spiritual traditions, the goal of spiritual practice is said to be union with God. Still, in other schools of thought, the goal of spiritual is freedom from bondage from all concepts including the notions of heaven and God. There are many variations on these themes in the world religions.

The nature of life and existence is generally determined by one’s inherited cultural and traditional conditioning and upbringing or conditioning through circumstances.

From an Eastern meditative perspective, anything that allows the mind to be quiet and content and peaceful in awareness is spiritual practice. The schools of yoga in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism emphasize the path of nonviolence in their spiritual practice. The goal of spiritual practice in these traditions is Moksha or Nirvana. Moksha or Nirvana imply release from all bondage and liberation from the cycle of birth, life and death.

The Advaita perspective emphasizes Self-knowledge as the only means to overcome the idea that self is separate from God or the Universe.  According to this philosophy, when the Self is realized, the false cognition that the world is different from the Self simply vanishes.

There is only consciousness, which is the true self; however when the consciousness is conceptualizes with different concepts and ideas, so it becomes difficult to understand and assimilate the non-dual truth. Therefore there is no attainment of goal outside of consciousness which is the formless substance and witness of the three states.   Consciousness is the center of the physical existence or mind, and it pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states.  Deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning revels the fact that, consciousness is the true self.

Holding on to the awareness that the formless  consciousness as the real Self is the goal. The consciousness is already there. The veil of ignorance has to be lifted to overcome the illusion. Therefore Self-Knowledge is the only tool to know and realize the fact that, the veil mere mirage.

One can find answers to all questions if one first realizes the fact that, the self is not physical body but the self is that, which witnesses the physical body and the universe together, without the physical apparatus.

The ultimate answer to all the questions comes only after one realizes the self is not physical but self is consciousness.  One will be able to understand and assimilate the non-dual truth only after he becomes aware of the fact that, the consciousness is the true self. Therefore, there is a necessary to realize the fact that, “consciousness” is the true self, in order to realize, the body and the universe are mere mirage created out of consciousness. Therefore the whole experience of diversity is nothing but consciousness. Thus consciousness is second to none.   Therefore, to understand and assimilate and realize the consciousness is ultimate truth nothing else will help other then the knowledge of the true self.

When one becomes fully convinced of the fact that, the consciousness is the true self, the ignorance vanishes and reality revels itself.

The waking or dream is state of ignorance. When one becomes fully convinced of the fact that, the consciousness is the true self, the ignorance vanishes and reality revels itself.  So, it is only in this realm of the ignorance the universe exists as reality.  When this realm of ignorance itself is known to be false, the body, ego, thoughts, feeling, perception are also false.  The Only Truth is non-duality, which is the true nature of the consciousness, which is ultimate truth.

Spiritual maturity is required for non-dual wisdom to arise. Seeker will be able to understand, assimilate as he moves on deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning.  Through perfect understanding, and assimilation the non-dual wisdom arises.

The yardstick is getting rid of ignorance by knowing and realizing the consciousness as self.  The truth is known only as a proof to the person concerned.  For others it is only doubt.  Ignorance, Knowledge, is known directly for the person concerned.  If ignorance has vanished, then there is non-dual wisdom.
When the seeking mind realizes the ultimate reality, it has abided into the consciousness, which is its true nature.

By realizing the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness; one is free from the illusory, birth, life, death and the world. In the realm of ultimate reality   has no seed of ignorance thus there is no duality.  For when a unreal superimposed on a real  has merged in the real on the discrimination of the real  and the unreal , it does not appear again to those discriminating people, just as before, from the impressions of past persisting in the intellect.

Wisdom destroys ignorance from its very root.   However, there will be the 'impressions' of the past perception of duality even after realization after truth.

This is required for the physical apparatus to continue in the   world within the illusion.  Impressions require a locus and thus the physical apparatus is continuing.  The body is required to support the world and the body cannot exist without the world, because the body and the world appeared together and disappear together as illusion.

When the reason based on consciousness is developed and one is able to view and judge the worldview on the base of consciousness as self, then he has the yardstick to discriminate between the real and unreal. The reason based on consciousness as self once   gained will not go away despite the physical conditioning persisting.

Deliberate suppression indicates identity with the physical entity.  If one suppresses his conditioned attributes than that suppressed conditioned attributes   would definitely come out in one way or the other.

Even though the truth is realized had, even though the ignorance has been dispelled, the three states will continue to appear to him and he will be interacting/reacting thru the ego, which will be driven / supported by the physical conditioning.

Non-duality is not a theory; it is the Absolute Truth.  One has to view the worldview on the standpoint point of consciousness as self, then there no conflict.

Deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning are the one that leads to the non-dual truth.  Consciousness exists always and without   undergoing any change. The three states are none other than the consciousness, because their formless substance and witness is consciousness. One has to understand the difference between the states of ignorance and state of reality.

There is the distinction between states of ignorance and state of reality.  The formless witness, which is consciousness, as differentiated from the state of ignorance.

For the realisation of the true of the Self does not tolerate any distinction. The consciousness  is second to none. It is the formless substance and witness of ignorance, which appears as mind, when the ignorance vanishes through wisdom it alone, as non-dual existence.  There is no scriptural Authority nor scriptural teaching, no pupil, nor training. There is neither YOU nor I nor the Others nor this universe.

The scriptures and teachings belong to the realm of ignorance. They do not have a distinct existence in the ultimate truth.  All scriptures, including those directed at teaching the means for liberation belong to the realm of ignorance.

Any formulation being illusory because it is object of cognition external to consciousness  - have been generated by the very mirage ,  which gives rise to the illusion of universe  of wonderful variety in all animated and unanimated  objects.

The mind is   an illusion. The word 'non-duality ' itself is only relative.  The word is used only to distinguish this from concepts like 'duality '.  A realized one will not see any object [three states] as absolutely real.  He might use one or the other or a combination of several to help others who might seek his help.  All thoughts and words lose their identity in the ultimate truth that is no thoughts or words by itself.

Non-duality is the ultimate truth and it is not a theory.  Ultimate truth is ever the Truth, Reality, never to be negated, never negatable.

The formless ‘witness’, is consciousness never, fades, since it is indestructible. The consciousness is, one without a second.  Consciousness, which is Infinite, is ultimate truth.  Consciousness is the formless substance and witness of the illusion, which is in the form of mind. Consciousness is the true self.  Consciousness never goes out of existence.

Non-duality is not a theory; it is the ultimate truth that transcends all theories.  It is only to guide the seekers towards the ultimate Truth, the words are used. Seekers goal should be to realize the ultimate truth.

The objective of spiritual advancement is to free from physical -awareness, which is present in the form of waking experience

The objective of spiritual advancement is to free from physical -awareness ,which is present in the form of waking experience. If the seeker has great things to his credit, which he has claimed as his, his ego fastens itself upon these achievements and constitutes a formidable hindrance to realization of the non-dual truth.

It is, therefore, most necessary for the seeker to keep free from the idea authorship of doer ship because self is not physical but it is formless.   This does not mean to keep clear of all activity through fear of developing this form of the ego. He may have to take to the life of action to wear out the ego that he has developed. So he is caught up in the dilemma that if he keeps inactive he does nothing towards breaking through the prison of his ego-life, and if he takes to a life of action, he is faced with the possibility of his ego being transferred to these new acts.

Treading the spiritual path is not like riding a saddled horse. It requires the utmost attention since the path affords no halting places or room for expansion of the physical -life. He who enters the path can neither remain where he is not afford to lose his balance, but is like one who attempts to walk on the edge of a sword.

The seeker must realize the fact that, he and his experience of the world are part and parcel of the illusion and the formless substance and witness of the illusion is the spirit, which is the true self. The spirit is real and all else is mere illusion.

By learning to reason on the base of the soul as self, he will be able to overcome all the obstacle, doubts and confusion in pursuit of truth.

The beginning of spiritual advancement is conditioned by the quest for that goal for which seeker strives for. it may take a long time before he arrives at the mountain top of truth-realization; and the path is beset by pitfalls and precipices. Those who attempt to reach this mountain top have to climb, and even one who has succeeded in scaling great heights may by a slight mistake fall from them. Therefore, the seeker is never safe unless he has the help and guidance to overcome all the obstacles. Seeker has to safeguards himself from a possible fall, and leads himself to the goal.

The seeker carries with him the  samskara or conditioning, which he has inherited and accumulated in the past, and in the intensity of his spiritual longing he remains ineffective for the time being. But when there is a slackening of spiritual effort, the conditioning gather fresh strength, and arraying themselves in a new formation constitutes formidable obstacles to spiritual advancement.

Gnani knows his body, ego and his experience of the world as consciousness.

The world is indeed a mixture of truth and make-believe. Discard the make-believe and take the truth. - Ramakrishna

For proof of God's creation of the universe one has to go back to a time when there was no world. Since this is impossible, there is no proof of creation. Hence Buddha kept silent. Hence four schools of Buddhism sprang up later which varied from realism to emptiness claiming to interpret his silence.

That the mind is within the brain skull is a fallacy. No one has measured the mind because man and his experience of the world are within the mind.    Therefore the mind is not confined to the brain skull.

One can see both mustered or a mountain range within the waking experience through his physical eyes  but the which sees  the waking and dream as a whole is neither the waking entity not the dream entity but the formless witness of the three states.   Thus one has to mentally grasp the existence of the formless witness apart from the three states is very much necessary  to understand, assimilate and realize the non-dualistic truth or ultimate truth or Brahman.

Yoga is easier than spiritualistic doubt, which involves intellectual difficulty and thinking. When people say that it is said by so and so in scripture or authority that is because they are intellectually lazy, they do not want to think, they want something easier. Man who thinks and reasons who alone can understand, assimilate and realize it. One has to goes to the very root of the matter. Only soul centric reasoning   deals with Truth.

Everyone is equal in pursuit of truth. Self-knowledge is not concerned with the egocentric accumulated knowledge because it is nothing to do with the soul, which is the innermost self. People who indulge in egocentric arguments based on their accumulated knowledge and challenging and provoking others are not real seekers but perverted mindset. And it is better to avoid such mind sets that are menace in pursuit of truth. The truth is not custom made stuff to please others but truth has to be acquired by the seeker on his own.  People with humility and interest and seriousness trying to get their doubts and confusion cleared are real seekers.  And they will reach the ultimate end of this inner [mental] journey.

Discussion of unimportant subject matter is a great hindrance in pursuit of truth.  The path of truth is path of verification. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.

Only when the serious seeker comes to final conclusion that the all egocentric accumulated knowledge is ignorance and individuality is product of ignorance then it is the starting point of the inner journey. But people are stuck to their individuality, which takes it as reality they remain in ignorance experiencing birth, life, death and the world as reality.  When one reaches the final conclusion whatever egocentric knowledge one has acquired is all ignorance, then non-dualistic truth becomes very easy to understand, assimilate and realize it.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions will determine the phenomenal universe observed and experienced.

The botanist viewing a flower will see it differently than nature lover viewing the same flower. Each one interprets the object that he sees in terms of his existing knowledge.   Gnani knows his body, ego and his experience of the world as consciousness,  whereas the meditator or yogi thinks he is experiencing the bliss because of his physical effort. When the waking experience itself is false hood whatever experienced on the base of waking entity is bound to be falsehood.

A man of perfection is one who has realized the fact that, the true self is within the three states but it is without the three states.  And he has a firm conviction the true self is the formless substance and witness of the three states.  Thus your true identity is without the body and the universe and unaffected and witnesses the three states as passing show.  Thus when you become soul centric then your egocentric experience is mere mirage. Thus one becomes fully aware in the midst of duality the waking life is mere passing show.

A Gnani is fully aware of the fact that, the substance and witness of the mirage are one in essence and that essence is consciousness.   Thus there is no second thing exist other than consciousness. Thus other then consciousness all else is illusion.  Experience is possible only where there are two [duality]. Thus, where there is experience [duality] unity in diversity is impossible.  Therefore, only realization of truth is necessary to reach the experience- less [non-duality] state.   Thus whatever experienced as a person within the waking experience [duality] is falsehood.  Thus it is necessary to realize the fact that, how the three states are falsehood and on what standpoint.

The guru is necessary only in religious and yogic path.  Guru is not necessary in pursuit of truth because the truth has to be ascertained by the seeker himself.  Pursuit of truth is path of verification. And in every stage he has to verify the validity of his understanding by sound reasoning.  As his soul-centric reasoning faculty matures the truth will start revealing on its own.

Thus it all depends on what one thinks and accepts as truth. The yogi thinks his Samadhi is Brahman.  Meditator thinks his thoughtless state is Brahman.  For religionist his belief of god itself is ultimate truth. For atheist his no god belief is ultimate. But for Gnani identifies his body, ego and his experience of the world as consciousness in the midst of waking experience. Thus for him everything is consciousness, becoming aware of the fact that, everything as consciousness and consciousness as ultimate reality is truth realization or self-realization.

To find detachment, wisdom, and freedom then one has to shun the three states as illusion by accepting the formless consciousness as self

To find detachment, wisdom, and freedom then one has to shun the three states as illusion by accepting the formless  consciousness as self, which is the formless substance and witness of the three states.

One has to seek the truth of the true existence, which is not physical, and realize the fact that, the three states are unreal on the standpoint of the true self, which is consciousness. Whatever, prevails without the three states is consciousness, which ultimate truth.

The true self is neither   the body, nor the ego, nor the universe.  If one wishes to be free, he has to know the Self to be the consciousness, which is the formless substance and witness of the three states. It is the one which is aware of the appearance of the mind as waking or dream[duality] and disappearance of the mind as deep sleep[non- duality].

By setting the three states aside the consciousness [the self] remains in awareness of its formless non-dual nature. It will at once be free from illusion, forever still, forever free.

The true self, which is consciousness, has no caste because it is formless. No duties bind it because it is free from physical shackles.

It is formless and free, beyond the reach of the physical shackles. It is the formless witness of all three states.

Right or wrong, pleasure or sorrow, these are of the illusion [mind] only.  They are not of the self, which is consciousness but they are illusory form and shapes of things created out of consciousness.

The one which acts or enjoys is not the true self but it is false self within the false experience.  Consciousness, which is the true self, pervades everywhere and in everything in all the three states as its formless substance and witness.

Consciousness is everywhere, and it is forever free.  Consciousness forever and truly free, the lone witness of the illusion [three states].

But if consciousness sees itself as separate entity, then it is bound. It is bound by the illusion of the three states.  It is lost itself in illusion by the intoxication of the sense of ‘I’.  It has accepted itself as the doer within the illusion.

In reality the consciousness is not the doer. By realizing the consciousness as the true self, it becomes free from experiencing the illusion as reality.  Consciousness is one and it is pure nondual awareness.

Through firm conviction that the consciousness is the true self,   the seeker has to burn down the ignorance, which is the cause of experiencing the illusion as reality.

When the self frees itself from illusion, then there is no duality, therefore, there is no second thing to enjoy or suffer. There is only nonduality, which is free from birth, life, death and the universe.

Consciousness is unbound.  It is awareness itself.  Just as a coil of rope is mistaken for a snake, so the consciousness is mistaken for the universe. If consciousness thinks it is free, it is free.  If it thinks it is bound, it is bound, because it is the true self.   It is what it thinks.

The Self looks like the universe. The universe is in the form of mind. The universe is mental. The mind is just an illusion. The mind appears as waking or dream [duality] and disappears as deep sleep [non-duality].   The consciousness pervades in everything and   everywhere in all the three states.

Consciousness is one, still, free, perfect.  It is the witness of the three states and it is always apart from the three states.  It is aware only of the appearance of the waking or dream and disappearance as deep sleep.

Seeker has to without clinging to the three states experiences   meditate on the consciousness, which is the true Self. Consciousness is   One without two, exalted awareness.  Seeker has to give up the illusion of the separate self.  Seeker has to give up the feeling, within or without, that self is this or that.

Because consciousness thinks it is the body with the name, for a long time it has been bound.
By knowing itself as pure awareness it is free from physical shackles.  With self - knowledge as its sword cuts through its chains of burden and bondage of duality.

Consciousness is already free, without action or flaw, when it realizes it is the formless substance and witness of the illusion.  Consciousness is bound only by the habit considering itself it is physical.  The nature of the consciousness nature is pure awareness. Consciousness pervades in everything, and everything are pervades in it.

Consciousness is always the same, unfathomable awareness, limitless and free, serene and unperturbed.
Seeker has to desire awareness of the true self, which is consciousness.  Whatever takes form is false. Only the formless endures.

When one understands and assimilates and realizes the knowledge of the consciousness [true self] he is free from the illusory birth, life death and the world. Consciousness is infinite; Consciousness is within the three states and without the three states, like a mirror, and the image in a mirror.

As the water is everywhere, in the ice block and pervades it, so consciousness is everywhere, pervades all the three states and pervades through them forever, with or without the three states.
