The value of Self –Knowledge isn’t to be found in books.

Many people think and discuss on the authors of the books or gurus. As seekers of truth one has to know where the author or guru has got stuck in assimilating the self-knowledge for their own research. There is no need to criticize authors and gurus. If one bases his reasoning on the soul as self he will know how far they have reached in their understanding and assimilation of the non-dual truth.
The value of Self –Knowledge isn’t to be found in books. Those are just the external appearances of self; they're not the realization of “Self” as proof. If one realizes the “Self” then he realizes the formless substance of the mind, and he sees the truth in it. When the truth becomes apparent then it cuts off the stream of delusion. Their writings are pointers to truth, not truth-in-itself. That's why merely believing in their books is pointless.
People judge others by their own limited understanding.  Their understanding is limited to physicality /intellectuality.  They simply indulge in endless argument on their own point of view.
When one go deeper and deeper reasoning to all the nondual writing, it reveals the fact that, their understanding is based on intellectuality, and it never takes one to finality.  The seeker of truth is on his own and he has to realize the fact that, someone’s cooked food may be tasty but when he learns to cook on his own he will be able to grasp the truth on his own.
Intellectual judgments will always haunts with doubts and debate fastened to their tails, if not denials.  Direct spiritual perception alone free and lone conveys complete certitude.  The reason based on the soul as self, frees one from physical based logic and theories.
Until one knows the ultimate truth is nondual, one keeps on inquiring and   reasoning.  One, who thinks the self is physical and the experience of the world as reality, should not indulge in pursuit of truth. He accepts the duality as reality and experiences the birth, life and death as reality.  When the birth entity is accepted as self, then whatever is seen, known, believed and experienced on the base of birth entity accepted as reality. On the base of birth entity, the body, world and belief of god seems to be real.
The guru is necessary for religion and yoga.  Path of truth is a personal path and path of verification. But in religion and yoga the verification is not allowed. Blind faith is main ingredient in belief system and yoga.   Gurudom is playing with words because maybe the meaning is floating somewhere in between the spaces of words...
People who think themselves to be in a position to air their knowledge forget one basic fact, namely that they go by mere appearances. Someone expounds knowledge and the one who receives it begins to ape the person from whom he has received the knowledge.  They never question the validity of that knowledge.
Thus, whatever the guru wears, he will wear; whatever mannerisms the guru affects, he will imitate.  Thus, they only learn to pretend. And all so-called accumulated knowledge" is mere speculation based on the physical self/ego. This is how tradition became established and traditional forms of worship come into being and passed it on the one generation to the next.  All these have nothing to do with the Self- Knowledge.
Whatever One has heard, whatever he has been told, will have no value as far as the ultimate point of view. Whether one accepts the fact that the only knowledge that he u really has is the knowledge that he exists, that is consciousness. Other than that, whatever knowledge he thinks he has as a person, is part of the illusion, something acquired, based on the illusory consciousness.
The realization of truth is not intellectual understanding. Self- Realization is about realizing the fact that, the self is not physical, but it is the formless soul/spirit.  Intellectual and logical / analytical perspective is based on the false self, will not help the seeker to reach his non-dual destination. The truth is beyond intellectual understanding and only the serious seekers who are free from preconceived accumulated ideas can get there.
The seeker of truth moves a head by verifying the facts and by removing all the obstacles and reaches his non-dual destination.
As the conviction of formless substance and witness grows stronger and firmer, the illusion looses its lustre and becomes one with the stuff it is made out of.
