Q:- Is atman only one thing?
K.S.K:- As waves, foam and bubbles are not different from water, so the mind (universe or waking or dream) emanating from Atman or consciousness, the innermost self , is not different from it.
The mind (universe or waking or dream) emanating from Atman means the mind (universe or waking or dream) being the effect from the Atman is not different from it. Analysis shows it. Analysis needs thinking. Wave has a form; but where is the form in the water? Where did the form come from? All that one can say is that the water [ocean] is not different from the wave. The mind [universe or waking or dream] the mind is the same Atman or consciousness as the sea produces the wave the Atman or consciousness produces the mind (universe or waking or dream).
