Adyatmic Discussion -66

Dear Vikasji,

I posted the blogs for your information how the path of Bakthi and other paths become obstacle in pursuit of truth. The devotional path and path of love are not path of truth, because they keep on in ignorance.   Even Gnana yoga prescribed by the sages in the past takes us nearer to truth but it is impossible to get realization through their prescription because it has been adulterated with add-ons and mix-ups the real essence of Ultimate truth or Brahman has been lost and destroyed.   It is hurricane task to bifurcate the truth from all this paths and practices of the past. But I highlighted all the obstacle which blocks our realization of truth in my posting or blogs to help the seeker to drop all the baggage which are inadequate and useless in pursuit of truth.

Buddha must have verified about religion, concept of god and Vedas deeply and found them inadequate and useless in his pursuit of truth then only   the rejected religion, idea of god and Vedas.

Until one understand, assimilates and realizes ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’, the words have their value. If one gets stuck to the meaning words then he becomes intellectual or genius not Gnani.  When one realizes the fact that , his body, his ego , his thoughts and words his belief and  his experience the world are created out of single stuff ,which is consciousness then what value his body ,his ego his thoughts and words, his belief and his experience of the world,  will have when everything  consciousness.  We are discussing within the illusion and illusion is created out of consciousness. Until one think body as body, ego as ego, word as word, thought as thought world as world he will remain in ignorance and the duality will prevail as reality. Thus one has to realize everything in illusion as consciousness then only there is unity in diversity.

That is why Swami Vivekananda said: - “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.”

That is why Upanishad declared :-
      Katha Upanishad:
This Ataman cannot be attained by the study of the Vedas, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Ataman reveals Its own form. [Katha Upanishad Ch-II -23-P-20]

Mundaka Upanishad  :-
This Ataman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Ataman—by him alone is Ataman attained. It is Ataman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. [    3 –page-70 Mundaka Upanishad  Upanishads by Nikilanada]

Ultimate truth has no connection with end-gaining, belief, path or process. It cannot be taught but is continuously shared. Because it is everyone’s inheritance, no-one can lay claim to it. It needs not to be argued, proven or embellished, for it stands alone simply as it is, and can only remain unrecognised and rejected, or realised and lived.”

Sri Ramana Maharishi Declares:-

The intricate maze of philosophy of different schools claims to clarify matters and reveal the Truth, but in fact they create confusion where no confusion need exist. To understand anything there is need to understanding being. Why worry about his bodies, his ahankar, his buddhi, creation, God, Mahatmas, world – the not-Self – at all? Why not remain yourself and be in peace?

Take Vedanta, for instance: it speaks of the fifteen pranas, the names and functions of which the student is asked to commit to memory. Will it not be sufficient if he is taught that only one prana does the whole work of maintaining life in the body? Again, the antahkarana is said to think, to desire, to will, to reason, etc. Why all these details? Has anyone seen the antahkarana, or all these pranas? Do they really exist? They are all conceptual divisions invented by teachers of philosophy by their excessive analysis. Where do all these concepts end? Why should confusion be created and then explained away? Fortunate is the man who does not lose himself in the labyrinths of philosophy, but goes straight to the Source from which they all rise.

Looking at all these facts it makes one clear that, the Self-knowledge is main goal of the every human being. Indulging in god and guru glorification is meant for the mass that is incapable of grasping the truth.   Thus, people who are capable and have urge to know the ultimate truth/Brahman has to realize, the truth is beyond, religion, god and scriptures.  By glorifying the fake gurus and indulging in rituals one will not be able to overcome the duality, which is mere mirage.

Katha Upanishad says: [Upanishads Nikhilananda]
Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. [Ch II-5 P-14]

Therefore, there is no use of taking strain to understand assimilate the conceptual divisions invented by teachers of philosophy by their excessive analysis. There are more and more doubts and confusions, if one tries to understand and assimilate the ultimate truth through scriptures.
There is no use of following any guru or accepting their teaching as final and making them as yardstick.  They create lots of doubts and confusion even though they seem to be nearer to truth but they are not truth in itself.

Why to follow the path of doubts and confusion by losing oneself in the labyrinths of philosophy, when one can realize the ultimate truth without them.  By mentally tracing the source of the mind from where it rises and subsides one becomes aware of the fallacy of the mind, which rises as waking or dream and subsides as deep sleep.  The mind raises form consciousness and subsides as consciousness.  Therefore, there is a need for perfect understanding assimilation of non-dual truth.

There is no need for all these baggage one has to drop it subconsciously but it is very difficult to drop the baggage because of the stubborn inborn conditioning or samskara. Until one drops the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ which everyone holds as self , it becomes difficult for them to accept ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ itself is the inborn samskara and mother of all the conditioning,  which everyone  have to get rid of .

Since everyone has their own chosen path and they have made it as a yardstick, it becomes difficult for them accept anything as truth other than accepted truth.  Until more and more doubts are created about their own understanding and path one will not indulge in deeper thinking. Without the deeper thinking and reasoning, it is difficult to understand, assimilate and realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Thus move a head in your chosen path and when your inner urge matures enough  you feel it is inadequate and useless in quenching your inner thirst and  you yourself will drop it automatically.
