Quotations of wise men and sages are not yardstick. Everything has to be verified and convinced by use of reason based on facts.

One who has firm conviction that what he knows or believes is true, then he must accept accepted truth blindly and follow his chosen path without question, because the path of truth is path of verification. There is no scope for blind belief in pursuit of truth.

In religious path, authorities are needed. In path of truth they are to be regarded only as giving opinions, which may be consulted out of curiosity, but are of no value as proof.

Many people think that the Ultimate truth cannot be known and they refuse to verify the validity of their accepted conviction.   There is no use of interacting with such people, so it is better to be in the silent mode.   The seeker of truth must become mere observer in the company of those who believe they know is ultimate truth.

Most people think they know the truth because they have read the philosophies of all religion or they have read the books of great men.   They think what they know is right, what other people knows is wrong." This unfortunate vanity is common to all men and prevents realization of ultimate truth or Brahman.

Seeker of truth must begin by doubting his accumulated knowledge. Only when doubts begin to arise one starts his quest of Truth. And such doubts usually first take the shape of asking why God sends epidemics and calamities and suffering?  In the ancient times philosophy began with wonder, with moderns it begins with doubts.

Quotations  of wise men and sages are not yardstick. Everything has to be verified and convinced by use of reason based on facts. One may quote quotations in order to show that others have reached the same conclusion.

If anyone quotes very extensively it is because he has made the quotations as yardstick, he has not verified the facts. One must go to the very fundamentals, to the root of thinking, to grasp the principles and not merely repeat the words of philosophical quotations.

It is wrong to say that, the ultimate truth is known only by intuition. It is known by Reason based on the true self.

Seeker has to get rid of all his doubts by deeper thinking and reasoning that is, all his doubts on every question. Perfect understanding and assimilation cannot be reached if his understanding is based on the ego or waking entity, which holds as self. When he realizes the soul as self than there no confusion the wisdom dawns automatically.

One has to overcome doubt by acquiring non-dual wisdom. Seeker should keep on thinking about his doubts until they are solved; that he should not stop until this point is reached.

Path of truth is the not the path of blind beliefs.  Deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning pries into the truth, the source and the validity of the knowledge religionists and yogis claim. Therefore it is the most difficult part of the study of existence.  –FORMLESS PATH
