One cannot live
without the practical world; it is the very basis of his life. One has to realize his practical life within
the practical world is within the waking experience. Same way the dream world and dream entity
exists within the dream. The dream
entity and dream world are reality within the dream. Similarly the waking
entity and waking world are reality within the waking experience. The dream becomes unreal when waking takes
place and waking remains as reality till the ignorance is there. The ignorance
will prevails till the waking entity remains unaware of the existence of the
formless witness. Thus one has to trace
the formless witness of the three states in order to realize the self is
neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self is that
which witnesses the coming and going of the three states without the physical
apparatus.
In
general we do not observe the coming and going of the three states. Man is unaware of the fact that, he is not
the witness of the three states, which comes and goes in succession because he
thinks only intellectual way which is limited to waking experience.
Man thinks he is an individual separate from
the world and world existed prior to him and he is born in it afterwards. But
he is unaware of the fact that, he and his experience of the world are within
the waking experience. The waking
experience appears and disappears, same way as the dream. When there is dream
than there is no waking. When there is waking than there is no dream. When there is neither the dream nor the
waking it is identified as deep sleep in waking experience. One is aware of the dream or deep sleep only
in waking. The one which is aware of the
coming and going of the three states is neither the waking entity nor the dream
entity but the formless witness of the three states.
It is not waking entity because waking entity
was absent in dream and also in deep sleep. Thus
one has to trace the existence of the formless witness of the three states,
which is aware of the coming and going of the three states in order to realize
the waking is parallel dream and dream is parallel waking. The one which witnesses the waking or dream as
a whole without the physical apparatus is formless consciousness, which is the
innermost self. When innermost
self-witnesses neither the waking nor the dream than it is in its formless non-dual true nature, but its true nature
is identified as deep sleep in waking experience ,which is the state of
ignorance.
Until one becomes aware of the existence of
the formless witness of the three states the ignorance will prevail and the
three states are considered as individual experiences. Thus it is necessary mentally trace the
existence of the formless witness in order to realize the formless witness,
which is in the form of consciousness alone is real and the three states are
mere mirage created out of consciousness.
How
man and his world can exist without waking experience. Whatever we are
discussing, we are discussing within the waking experience. One has to know: whether physical body and
the world are within the mind or the mind is within the physical body? The mind, physical body, ego and the world
are present only, when the whole experience of the waking/dream is
present. And mind is absent, when the
waking or dream experience is absent. Thus
one has to conclude the mind as the whole waking or dream experience. Thus the mind appears and disappears as
waking/dream experience. All your arguments are truth only on the base of the
ego, which is the false self, within the false experience (waking). The individual experiences within the waking
are as real as dream.
Please think: if we are discussing
spirituality in the dream and you asked me the same questions in the dream,
then whatever you said in dream becomes unreal, when the waking takes place.
Whatever you are saying now, you are saying within the waking experience. The
waking is unreal on the base of the formless witness, which is soul or Atman or
consciousness. Thus it is necessary to realize the soul, which is in the form
of consciousness is the innermost self. Thus all our conclusions and judgment
and conclusions has to be based on the formless witness of the three states no
the on waking entity, which is limited to the waking experience.
How does one see various objects, scenes and persons during dreams? If the dream is experienced without the physical body, then what is it that witnesses the dream? Therefore, there must be an invisible (formless) witness (knower) of the dream world. This invisible [formless] witness is the same witness that is witnesses this Waking experience. Therefore the Waking experience and dream both are witnessed by one and only invisible [formless] witness of which the waking entity is not aware of. Since waking entity considers itself as self or witness and views and judges the three states as its own individual experience. Thus the ignorance prevails.
Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the three states, in order to realize the fact that, the waking entity is the false self within the false experience. The formless witness is the true self. The formless witness can exist with or without the three states. But the three states cease to exist, without the formless witness, which is the soul or consciousness, the innermost self.
The gross Waking experience (universe) is
merged into the mental experience in the sense that, when it is analyzed, it is
found to exist inseparably in and as the soul or consciousness alone.
So it is the
starting point of his pursuit of truth. Proof, not imaginations, must be the seekers’
material.
A permanent conviction that world as unreal can come only after intellectual inquiry; such knowledge cannot
change. Were the yogi of sufficiently sharp intellect he could discover the
ideality of world by reasoning alone and then it would not be necessary for him
to have gone through yoga practice at all; that is why we say yoga is for dull
or middling intellects.
To know whole truth,
one must know the whole universe, otherwise he gets only half-truth. Renouncing
the worldly life means incapacity to think deeper, an impotency to inquire.
Truth cannot be got
in external world. The truth is hidden within the three states as their
formless substance and witness. By
Becoming a monk and renouncing the worldly life and running away to mountains
to acquire non dual truth or Brahman is a foolish venture.
Brahman is
within the universe but it is without the universe. The formless soul, which is in
the form of consciousness, is ultimate truth or Brahman. The formless soul is the innermost self and
it is not an entity or identity within the waking or dream, but it is the
formless substance, witness and source of the three states. Formless soul is the source of the three
states, from where the mind or universe (waking or dream) erupt and subsides.
All the confusion
and doubts arise because one doesn’t know what he is seeking. He thinks “ego or
waking entity” is self and he is trying to acquire self-knowledge on the base
of ‘ego or waking entity’ which is false self within the false experience. He
thinks truth is something accomplished from the external experiences. So
instead of verifying it through deeper self-search he tries to regulate his
human attributes through yoga and devotion and religious code of conduct and
tries to acquire the Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana .
Mind appears due to ignorance. Without
ignorance the mind ceases to exist. Thus
mind is in the form of universe and appears as waking or dream. The waking or dream is state of duality. Thus
seeker has to hold wherever there is duality there is ignorance. If duality is considered as reality than the
experience of birth, life, death and the world is considered as reality. If experience birth, life, death and the world
is considered as reality than the form, time and space is becomes a reality. If
form, time and space is becomes reality as reality than there is diversity in
unity. To bring back the unity in
diversity, one has to put the ego in to reverse gear until it reaches the
ultimate end or source from where mind rises and subsides.
Seeker has to grow from the inside out by soul centric
reasoning. None can teach him none can make him to reach the ultimate end.
There is no other guru but the formless consciousness, which the innermost
self.
