Self-realization is God realization***

Bhagavad Gita gives the dualistic worship of "God” only for the lower minds; it also teaches Advaita for the more evolved.

Likewise thinkers and poets of the Age of Devotion (Bhakti) of the 16th century believed in a God with attributes who became very tangible when incarnating as Avatar, and was attainable simply through love and devotion rather than scholastic and intellectual meditation.

For the  religious people  the Bhagavad Gita became the main vehicle of inspiration with its qualified and deistic Monism, rather than the scholastic and esoteric path shown by Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic path.

Devotional prayer (Bhakti) value only for the ignorant who believe the world in which they are born is real. But for the seeker on his journey to the ultimate realization of the truth beyond the form time and space the devotional path becomes an obstacle.

People worship God in various ways, not knowing the Truth. At different levels, at different epochs, in different lands, people have different conceptions of God. They have quarreled because they did not know the truth about God.

The conflict of opinions among mystics and religionists proves that all are imagining God as they like, not knowing God.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”.
Rig Veda declares God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and   worship in place of real God.
Brihad Upanishad: ~ “If you think there is another entity, whether man or God there is no truth."

When Upanishad itself declares: ~   Sarvam khalvidam brahma ~ all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality (Chandogya Upanishad).

Sage Sri, Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as It is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because description implies distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not the distinction of substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constitutes the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sri, Sankara is impersonal.
Sage Sri, Sankara: ~"That which permeate~"That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman  (God)."

Thus, truth realization   is self-realization. The Self-realization is God realization.  God -realization is real worship.

Religious truth is individualized truth, whereas Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is universal truth***.

The ultimate truth or Brahman dwells within the three states like fragrance in the flower; Musk lies within the Musk-deer yet seeks it afar." Until one trace the truth within the three states the illusion of birth, life, death and the world is experienced as reality.

Religious truth  is individualized truth whereas  Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the universal truth.  This means religious believers  takes the belief as the ultimate truth whereas the Gnani takes his reasoned judgment, which will be the same under test everywhere in the universe.

No one has seen God. They do not know God’s capacities, what He can do, and what he cannot do. Therefore any statement one might make about God would only be an imagination. God is only a settled fact for believers, but for others Gods existence is problematic.

It is impossible to prove the existence of God by any reasoning without belief system. Every belief- system has its own idea of God and idea of creation. Without belief,  the  religious God ceases to exist. One must take rational position in order to unfold the mystery of his true existence. Thus the seeker of truth does not know whether God exists or not. He starts his quest without belief and belief system.

Unless one gives up the religious ideas of individual god, karma, sin heaven and hell, self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is impossible. Truth must be proved here and now, on this very life. If that cannot be done, one cannot consider any such idea, as existence of individual god, karma, sin heaven and hell, as true.

People see visions of Gods and Goddesses and adepts,  according to their own inherited religious  samskara or conditioning. How does one know that God who tells about himself in meditation or vision is truthful! He may tell you a lie! His statements must therefore be tested. Supposing a mystic has a vision, which experience is true, but he must prove that it is really what it purports to be, and that he is not deluded.

When the 'Self' is not  him   then all his   claims of seeing God or talking to God as the himself  is bound to be a falsehood because he exists within the waking experience and   the waking experience itself is an illusion. If the three states are illusion created out of the formless Soul, which is present in the form of the  consciousness. on the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, all the visions are also mere dualistic illusion  created out of  the consciousness. wherever there is duality there is no reality.

Only in yogic paths such visions of God and saints are taken as reality because yogis’ approach is more practical, and they are stuck with the reality of the waking experience, and they take it as real.

That is why Buddha said:~

Believe nothing because a wise man said it,

Believe nothing because it is generally held,

Believe nothing because it is written,

Believe nothing because it is said to be divine,

Believe nothing because someone else said it.

But believe only what you yourself judge to be true.

Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.  One may believe in a position, but he is required to prove the truth of his belief. A belief is a feeling,  the truth is knowledge.

Looking to all these diverse idea of every belief system create the doubts and confusion. "Which belief system is the right and which belief system is wrong?" .There is the certainty  in any belief system. Thus,  doubts arise and the inquiring spirit comes and impels to search elsewhere for truth where it will not be possible even to have doubt.

The test is therefore in reasoning. Only through soul-centric reasoning one can reach the ultimate end of understanding. If one is soul-centric than there is no scope for argument about views or to have a  difference of opinion and one is in the realm of doubtlessness.

If one seeking  ultimate truth or Brahman   then he should not accept anything as truth without verification.

As per the scriptures the three "Ashrams" or stages in life were originally intended for three grades of intelligence thus:

v             Religion: low intellects had to do 'karmas' works, ritual actions, chanting of mantras and indulging in bhajans and prayers etc.

v             Middle intellects:  Yoga: taking yellow robes, going to caves, ashrams etc.

v             High intellects: wisdom who wanted the truth is concerned with no external rites or sanyasa but depend solely on the Soulcentric reasoning for their path.

Thus, the seeker has to choose his path, according to his choice.  Without an  intense urge to know the truth, and sharpness to grasp the truth,  it is difficult to tread the path of wisdom or reason. Never mix different path with each other and make cocktail because it leads to all sorts of doubts and confusion.

The seeker should be beware of everything that is untrue: stick to the truth and he shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.

Real Satsanga is reflecting on Soul, which is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God***

The ‘I’ is the ignorance. Till one hold the ‘I’ as the Self, it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  Thus,   the seeker has to get rid of the ignorance, which is present in the form of ‘I’, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

What is this ‘I’?

The ‘I’ is not a thought.  The ‘I’ is the mind. The mind is the whole universe.  The universe appears as waking or dream (duality and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).  The one that appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality) is the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of the consciousness. The consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all the three states.

Without knowing what mind is, it is impossible to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.  People think the mind is within the body but deeper self-search reveals the fact that the world in which you exist itself is the mind. When the ‘I’ is there then only the mind is there. If the mind is there then only the universe is there. If the universe is there then only the waking is there.  Thus, it is very much necessary to realize the ‘what ‘I’ is in actuality.  Without knowing ‘what is this ‘I’ it is impossible to realize the ‘I-less’ truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.

Till you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ you will never be able to get Self-realization.  ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the innermost Self. ‘

I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is the form, time and space.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death and the world.

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time and space.

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death and the world.

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the whole. The ‘I’ hides the truth.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I,’, If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Bhagvad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)
Many Gurus in the past propagate the ‘Self’ is within you but ‘Self is not within you. You and the world in which you exist are within the ‘Self’.  The world in which you exist is created out of the Self, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of the consciousness.   Thus, the Self is the fullness of consciousness because there is no division of the form, time,  and space in its essence.  All the divisions within the consciousness is mere an illusion.
The Truth is very simple. It is very difficult to realize because it is lost in the dualistic knowledge we inherited, collected from different sources, different masters’ different gurus, different philosophies, different ideologies, different books, and scriptures. All these accumulated knowledge is a mere hill of Garbage.
Nothing is needed other than realizing the knowledge of the single stuff. The single stuff is the cause of the world in which we exist. And that single stuff itself is causeless. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. The Soul is the innermost Self. Knowledge of the Soul, the innermost Self, is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Atma Gnana is knowledge of God. Realizing God in this very life is your goal. God realization is real worship.
Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed. Only an intense urge to know the truth, humility sincerity and patience are the only qualifications to realize God in this very life and in this very world.
Drop your entire accumulated knowledge drop all the physical Gurus, the Soul the inner Guru, is waiting for you to take the first step for you to realize there are no more steps.
You will realize your body and your experience of the world are nothing but consciousness thus you will realize the God (Soul) is fullness of the consciousness. Everything is God nothing but God. Do not waste time attending sermons and Satsang. Real Satsanga is reflecting on Soul, which is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.
“It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time,  and space.

All the Gurus glorified the ‘I’. Thus, it becomes very difficult to discard the ‘I’.+*****

All the Gurus glorified the ‘I’. Thus, it becomes very difficult to discard the ‘I’. Those who have accepted the ‘I’ based teaching refuse to accept anything other than their accepted truth.

Bhagvad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

Till you hold the ‘Self’ as the ‘I’, your knowledge remains skin deep.

What is it that appears as the ‘I’ and disappears as the ‘I-less? It is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not make the mistake of holding the ‘I’ as the Self because it is not permanent. ‘I’ disappears and becomes ‘I’-less.

‘I’ is an illusion and the ‘I-LESS’ is real and eternal. The ‘I-LESS ‘appears as ‘I’ and ‘I ’‘disappears as I-LESS.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all three states.

Without knowing what mind is, it is impossible to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.  People think the mind is within the body, but deeper self-search reveals the fact that the world in which you exist itself is the mind.

When the ‘I’ is there then only the mind is there. If the mind is there then only the universe is there. If the universe is there then only the waking is there.  Thus, it is very much necessary to realize the ‘what ‘I’ is in actuality.  Without knowing ‘what is this ‘I’ it is impossible to realize the ‘I-less’ truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Remember:~

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the Soul, the Self. The realization of ultimate truth or Brahman is possible only when the seeker inquiries into the nature of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of the Mind.   The Mind is present in the form of the universe and the universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality). The one which appears as the duality and disappears as nonduality is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not try to know who you are? By enquiring ‘Who am ‘I’,   you will never reach the ultimate end of understanding. ‘Who am ‘I’? is only helpful in the beginning on later stages it is inadequate to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Try to find out what is this ‘I’ which appears and disappears. What is it that knows this appearance and disappearance of the ‘I’?

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I" If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

To understand the false nature of the ‘I’, the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary.

The Self is not ‘I’, but the Self is the Soul which is the witness of the ‘I’. By holding the’ Self’  ‘I' leads to hallucination based on the imagination.

Those who are stuck with the ‘I’ based teaching never be able to cross the domain of the form, time and space.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sri, Goudapada’s:~ Whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.+*****

Sage Sri, Goudapada’s rational exposition of Advaita:~  Whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.

Whatever takes form as the duality is false. Only the nondual consciousness endures. When you understand the truth, beyond the form, time and space, the duality will never be a reality again. For the consciousness is infinite, within and without, like a mirror, and the image in a mirror.  The consciousness is everywhere, filling all things and flowing through the dualistic illusion forever.
The consciousness is like a lamp which lights up a theatre and reveals both a dancer and a stage.
Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the world as a reality.  The world in which we exist is a dualistic illusion.   The ‘self is hidden within the dualistic illusion and it is without the dualistic illusion.
The mystic must become a constant slave to some line of "thought" or rather an imagination, and then he will really see visions confirming his imaginations.

The mystic who sees God in vision has seen Him during the waking state. The waking experience itself an illusion. Thus, whatever seen within the illusion is bound to be an illusion. Thus, it is necessary for the mystic to realize his existence is a reality within the illusion.  Whatever belief of God one is familiar with through his inherited conditioning or samskara that he will see in his visions.  When a man is a false self (ego)  within the false experience (waking), then whatever he believes is bound to be a falsehood.
God is the Soul, the  Self.  The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. God is not within you, but you and your experience of the world are within God.  Self-realization is God-realization because the Soul the innermost Self itself is God.  When you and your experience of the world disappear, then God alone prevails as formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

Remember:~
No duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists. Let us see in the words of Lord Krishna:
Bhagvad Gita: 4: 22: ~ ".....who has gone beyond the conflicting dualities like good (happiness) and bad (sorrow)....."
Bhagavad Gita: 4: 42:~ ".....cut all such conflicting dualities (doubts) by the sword (weapon) of knowledge. ....."
Bhagavad Gita: 5: 18:~The learned men (who have come out of delusions (Māyā), got rid of Avidya) see no differentiation have equal vision for a revered Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a cāndāla (outcaste, rogue, mleccha, demonic person, etc)"
Bhagvad Gita: 5: 19:~ "Those who have achieved the true knowledge i.e. the 'Self-Knowledge' or the 'knowledge of Atman' and see no difference, are free from conflicting dualities have merged in Brahman"
Bhagvad Gita: 5: 20:~ "One who does not get excited out of happiness on getting good and does not get depressed on getting bad is situated in Brahman i.e. is merged in Brahman"
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 9:~  "The one who has equal vision for a Selfless do-gooder, a friend, a foe, an unbiased, a well-wisher, a depressed and jealous man, relatives, a righteous and a sinner is the best (as he sees no duality and differentiation but sees everything as Ātman)"
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 32:~ “.....as one seeks and treats oneself with equal vision, the same way one who has equal vision for good and evil, for everybody, is the best of all"
Bhagvad Gita: 6: 8: ~ "For whom soil, a pebble, and gold are alike, he is merged in Brahman"
Bhagvad Gita Gita: 7: 27:~ ".....people are getting entangled in the primordial ignorance (Avidya) of the conflicting dualities like good and evil, happiness and sorrow caused due to attachments, desires, and hatred....."
Bhagvad Gita: 6: 28:~ “.....who have cut-off conflicting dualities (like good and evil) is determinedly in my service. ...."
Bhagvad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, in the last birth in the series of many births worships Me as~ Atman alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare"
Think deeply, reason deeply then only you will be able to realize ‘what is what’. Without realizing ‘what is what’ you will never be able to realize ‘what is the truth and ‘what is untruth’? : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Bhagavan Buddha:~ There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.+*****

Swami Vivekananda: ~Jñāna Yoga is divided into three parts. First: hearing the truth ~ that the Atman is the only reality and that everything else is Maya. Second: reasoning upon this philosophy from all points of view. Third: giving up all further argumentation and realizing the truth. This realization comes from being certain that Brahman is real and everything else is unreal

Everyone’s inner work is on. Until a man is ripe to receive Self-knowledge, he will not be able to understand what I am saying.

Even they may find it difficult in the first as they go on reading and reflecting repeatedly the post their subconscious will start dropping the dualistic egocentric knowledge and start accepting the Soul-centric Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Grasping the truth depends on the spiritual maturity of the seeker. My mission is sharing the knowledge by inspires the serious and sincere seekers of truth and divert their attention towards the inward reality.

As their urge is at the seed level and As they go on reading the words of wisdom it will start growing.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.

Bhagavan Buddha:~  There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting
Self-Realization is the direct realization of the ultimate truth, in contrast with traditional paths, which are indirect. And the other paths cannot lead to the ultimate destination because they are based on the false Self, which they hold as real Self and false experience as reality.
Until and unless one overcomes physical shackle it is impossible to understand and assimilate the nondual truth, which is beyond the physical existence or the universe. The Consciousness itself is Lord of itself though not of the universe. And having nothing it has all.
Seeker of truth has to take the direct path and avoid losing precious time and effort losing himself in philosophical studies.

The seeker has to have the courage to accept the truth and reject the untruth because most people will not be able to subscribe to the path of truth because they sentimentally and emotionally involved with their inherited belief system and even if one does he has to overcome all his doubts confusion and despair. These are the problem for the seekers who are from the religious background because of their conditioning and they are made to accept their blind belief as truth and their interest or insight is not deep. Thus all my blogs are useful to analyse these problems because they highlight what is not the truth according to their own religious scriptures and make them accept the truth, and reject all the false conditioning and move ahead in pursuit of truth.

It becomes difficult for the orthodox cult to accept anything else as truth other than their accepted belief, which they hold as truth. Although all religious followers are participants alike in the spiritual endeavour of the world, overzealous flowers of each religion are not prepared to accord equal status to other faiths and assert the superiority of their own. Thus, the universal brotherhood is a total impossibility because it is difficult to accept anything other than their inherited belief system. Inter-religious harmony or understanding has become an impossibility.:~Santthosh Kumaar
