In the realm of truth the object (mind or the universe or waking) and subject (soul) are one in essence.

In the realm of truth the object (mind or the universe or waking) and subject (soul) are one in essence.  Without the subject there is no object.  The subject remains without the object as in deep sleep.

The object is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.
Intellectual approach is more practical, and one is stuck with the reality of the object, he takes it as real.

The soul, the innermost self has to be free from experiencing the duality as reality.  To overcome the duality, the waking entity has to know it itself is not the self, but the self is the soul, which witnesses coming and going of the three states.  Thus self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary to realize ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’ to reject the untruth by accepting the truth.

Lust, anger, greed are part of the duality. From ultimate standpoint the duality is mere illusion. If duality is mere illusion than the form, time and space are mere illusion. If form, time and space are mere illusion than the universe is mere illusion. If the universe is mere illusion, than the three states are mere illusion. If the three states are mere illusion than   the experience of birth, life, death and the world are mere illusion.  If birth, life, death and the world are mere illusion than the individualized god, heaven, hell, sin, and karma are part of the illusion.   Therefore it is necessary to realize ‘what is illusion’ and ‘what is reality’ in order to get freedom from falsehood.

By inquiring WHO AM I?  it unfold the fallacy of the form thus only half the truth is revealed. The ignorant who fail to apprehend the ‘self’ are caught in the web of illusion experience, the birth, life, death and world as reality.  The people who think the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as self are caught up in the web of duality experiences the pain and pleasure as reality.

As the waking entity or ego becomes more and more inward turned, it becomes gradually free from experiencing the duality as reality.  When the soul, the innermost self becomes freed from all the obstruction by fully eliminating the ignorance it remains in its own awareness.  When the soul, remains in its own awareness in the midst of duality then the duality is mere illusion created out of the soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

So long the soul, the innermost self identifies itself with the waking entity it remains in ignorance of its formless non-dual true nature. Therefore it is necessary to realize the fact that, the ‘self’ is neither the waking entity nor the ‘self’ is dream entity but the self is the formless soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states.

Just as the sun is the direct cause of the daylight, so without the self-knowledge no emancipation can be had. Compared to all other forms discipline self-knowledge is the only direct means for freedom from experiencing the illusion as reality.

Only when the wisdom dawns the soul, the innermost self can remain in its own awareness in the midst of duality.

Thoughtlessness is not wisdom and thoughtlessness is not Gnanic or Brahmic truth.

Where people cannot and do not think, they follow others. A Gnani will see the world and get to know it is only an illusory appearance. He is not blind; he sees three states or objects as it is, but he knows it is only falsehood. Just as you see a mirage, the Gnani sees the mirage of this universe too; but he is not deceived by it. So long as one is ignorant, he will have the idea that God has created this world because the causal notion will be there.

Nobody wants suffering, and while the notion that suffering can be got rid of by appealing to God these wishes will sway the mind to believe in God. For them religion will arise, but for the man who wants truth, religion offers no consolation.

One has to inquiry into the mind or the world and its nature i.e. matter, there can be no such thing as nondual wisdom or Gnana without understanding what is mind or universe. Seeker of truth will not be able to find answers in the path of religion and yoga are based on blind belief or imagination because they think the mind is within the body.

The yogi or religionists may just by say “I know” and not explain how one knows the ultimate truth. Because he has read it in the book or scriptures or his guru may have told him “yogic Samadhi is liberation.

The self-deluded believers tell others the same, because he has not investigated if it is right. People give lectures and write books on yoga and eastern philosophy.

Some may say for many years they are enjoying mystic exaltation, trances, meditations and peace but they have verified what they experienced is really truth. . Then this state is not permanent because when this state passes away again they enter into duality. This state which is impermanent is not Gnana or self—awareness.  This proves he had attained a yogic condition, but not Gnana.

Yogic Samadhi vanished because it was not the highest insight. The Gnani, however never loses his Gnana. Dislodging a Gnani from his insight is impossibility. Once he has thoroughly seen the truth he simply can't fall away from it.

Many enjoying a similar sort of mystic exaltation and peace, but whether it passes away soon or endures the whole of life, it is not Gnana, because it did not come through striving to investigate the nature of the mind or world, it came only through meditation on the self; that is the yogic reward for such meditation but it is only one half.

The Gnani not only gets inner peace but also truth because he also has grasped the truth about matter, which is as much consciousness as his- innermost self.

It is not possible to stop thought for more than a half-second whilst in the waking experience. If one succeeds in controlling thought and then banishes it, one passes into yogic Nirvikalpa Samadhi, which is identical with deep sleep. The only difference between ordinary deep sleep and Samadhi therefore is that the ordinary man falls asleep involuntarily whereas the yogi has the satisfaction of knowing that he has passed into sleep by his own effort of will in banishing thoughts. Thoughtless states not wisdom because thoughts arise to the false self within the false experience.  There is no use of struggling to stop the thoughts which belongs to the falsehood? One has to trace the source of the falsehood which is nit the form of mind or universe to unfold the reality of the true existence.

Thoughtlessness is not wisdom and thoughtlessness is not Gnanic or Brahmic truth.

The nature of the illusion is impermanent and constant flux whereas the nature of the soul or consciousness is permanent and still.

One has to realize the fact that, it is not the waking entity (you) which witnesses the three states.  The formless soul is the witness of the coming and going of the three states. The soul is immutable. The soul is unaffected by the happening within the three states because the three states are mere mirage created out of the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The soul or consciousness is the innermost self.

The self is neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self is the formless soul. The on the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self the three states are non-existent as reality.

The nature of the mind, which is present in the form of universe  is changing.  The universe appears as waking or dream. Without being aware of the existence of the formless witness the three states people think everything is in flux in the universe.

The permanent thing is the substance of the mind or universe.  The formless substance is the witness of the mind (I) or universe.  The formless substance and witness are one in essence. That essence is soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  The soul or consciousness is real and permanent.  The universe is mere mirage created out of consciousness.

The World is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

Intellectuals   approach was more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real.

On the standpoint the soul, the innermost self the universe is mere mirage.  The soul is the permanent all else mere illusion.  Man and exist in the unreal universe and by discussing on the standpoint of the ego (waking entity) which is the false self within the false experience will leads to perversity.

In self-awareness the body is not considered as body, ego is not considered as ego and the world is not considered as world because body, ego and the world too are nothing but consciousness.   In self-awareness there is no flux. There is unity in diversity.  Only in ignorance the illusion is experienced as reality. The nature of the illusion is impermanent and constant flux whereas the nature of the soul or consciousness is permanent and still.

Holding ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as self is blocking the realization of ultimate truth or Brahman

Dualists Sages  have written big volumes about the soul. Yet they are quite ignorant of the fact that the ‘I’ about which they write itself comes and goes and has no permanent existence, is only an idea after all.

Sage Sri,Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Jesus said to them,  “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye,  and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”

"The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, Not in a mansion of wood and stone.  Split a piece of wood and God is there, Lift a stone and you will find God." (Gospel of Thomas)

The soul or the consciousness is that which knows everything, that which sees. Consciousness alone remains after one gets rid of all thoughts and ideas by identification with self. Consciousness is only the seer; it is not Brahman that is an error. It becomes Brahman only after realization.

The ‘I ‘or mind or universe, waking or dream, duality are one and the same thing. Since, ‘I’ is identified as self all the confusion. And taking ‘I’ or ‘I AM’   as the self is the cause of confusion. Holding  ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as the self is blocking the realization of ultimate truth or Brahman.  The ‘I’ or universe is an object to the formless subject. Thus, it is necessary to include the universe in the inquiry to realize the unreal nature of the ‘I’ or universe.

When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be consciousness, which is the innermost self and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is than any room to say that the body is the self.

Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve.

Dualists or realists could not distinguish between ‘I’ and ‘formless witness.’  They take ‘I’ as self or witness. Their highest is to say ‘I AM THAT’ without verification. They are so much attached to the 'I' that they do not want to think that 'I' does not exist. Again one is unable to detach the ‘I’ from the Real witness, which is ever formless.

The dualists object: - If everything else is false then   the statement I am   Brahman is itself false, but when one says non-duality is false, there must be the awareness, consciousness, behind the very statement. You will also go, die. One has to rely upon that which is permanent.  Formless witness of the ‘I’ alone is permanent. Anything that one says is a witnessed [waking], but there is the formless witness (soul or  consciousness) there before any statement could be made.

Dualists or realists approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world(I), they take it as real.

The dualists or realists are unaware on what standpoint the world is real and on what standpoint the world is unreal.

The world is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself. Thus from the ultimate standpoint the world is unreal. Therefore whatever seen, known, believed and experienced as a person within the practical world is bound to be unreal from the ultimate standpoint because of their impermanence. And the formless substance and witness of the mind or universe is real and eternal.

Sage Sri Ramana Maharishi Says:~ The self is fullness of consciousness. Therefore, there is nothing apart from it. Ramana would humorously say that if god were to be separate he would be self-less. As for Sadguru his individuality is dead. It is merged in the self like waves in the sea. so, he is the Self. The guru and god are not different for their essential nature as unlimited consciousness is the same.

"It is this Supreme Oneness which alone is real, since there is nothing else but the Self. Verily, there remains no other independent entity in the state of realization of the highest Truth."

People believe that teacher or mystic or priest has got so many followers and therefore there must be some truth in their teaching, is a common fallacy accepted by the mass due to their inherited samskara or conditioning

The guru is necessary for religion and yoga.  Path of truth is a personal path. Path of truth  is  path of verification. In religion and yoga the verification is not allowed. Blind faith is main ingredient in belief system and yoga.   Gurudom is playing with words because maybe the meaning is floating somewhere in between the spaces of words...

People who think themselves to be in a position to air their knowledge forget one basic fact, namely that they go by mere appearances. Someone expounds knowledge and the one who receives it begins to ape the person from whom he has received the knowledge.  They never question the validity of that knowledge.

Thus, whatever the guru wears, he will wear; whatever mannerisms the guru affects, he will imitate.  Thus, they only learn to pretend. And all so-called accumulated knowledge" is mere speculation based on the physical self(ego or waking entity). This is how tradition became established and traditional forms of worship come into being and passed it on the one generation to the next.  All these have nothing to do with the Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Whatever One has heard, whatever he has been told has no value as far as the ultimate stand point. Whether one accepts the fact that,  the only knowledge that he   really has is the knowledge that he exists within the universe i.e. the physical-awareness. The physical awareness  is part of the illusion.

The realization of truth is not intellectual understanding. The seeker has to realize the fact that,  the 'self' is not  limited to the waking experience because the 'self' pervades all the three states as their formless substance and witness. The 'self' is neither the waking entity nor the 'self' is dream entity but the 'self' is the formless soul. The on the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self the three states are non-existent as reality.

One has to realize the fact that, it is not the waking entity, which witnesses the three states.  The formless soul is the witness of the coming and going of the three states. The soul is immutable. The soul is unaffected by the happening within the three states because the three states are mere mirage created out of the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The soul or consciousness is the innermost self.

The truth is beyond intellectual understanding and only the serious seekers who are free from preconceived accumulated ideas can get there. The seeker of truth moves a head by verifying the facts and by removing all the obstacles and reaches his non-dual destination.

"It is this Supreme Oneness which alone is real, since there is nothing else but the Self. Verily, there remains no other independent entity in the state of realization of the highest Truth."

People believe that teacher or mystic or priest has got so many followers and therefore there must be some truth in their teaching, is a common fallacy accepted by the mass due to their inherited samskara or conditioning. It proves only an ignorant can find a number of greater ignorant to follow him.

As the conviction of  the soul,  innermost self  grows stronger and firmer, the illusion looses its luster and becomes one with the stuff it is made out of.
