The idea of individuality is within the experience of duality, therefore birth, life and death, which is based on the individual identity, is false hood

Spiritual maturity is being ready to let go everything. Giving up the unreality is the  a first step, but real giving-up is the insight that there's nothing to be given up, because experience of diversity is created out of single formless clay. And that formless clay itself is the true self   since nothing is can owned by anyone as a person since the soul, the innermost self is the sole owner.

Thus by realizing the experience of diversity[waking]  is mere illusion on the standpoint of the soul or consciousness  which is the innermost self  is very much necessary to realize what is what.

When one knows thoughts are reality within the experience of duality, and thoughts arise only after the experience of duality [waking/dream], it is no use of suppressing the thoughts or finding the source of the thought, instead find the source of the mind/duality.   The idea of individuality is within the experience of duality, therefore birth, life and death, which is based on the individual identity, is false hood; because neither the body nor the ‘I’ is the true self. The ‘’I’ is formed because of considering the soul and body together as self.

When you don't require anything from the world and nothing from God, when you don't desire anything, when you don't strive for anything, don't expect anything by realizing the whole experience of diversity is mere mirage, and the formless substance and witness of the mirage is the soul/self, then   the truth will start unfolding on its own unasked and unexpected.

The wish for truth is the best of all wishes, but it's still a wish. Seeker of truth has to realize the fact that all wishes and desires are part of the mirage/duality that the truth can be realized only when one becomes aware of the formless substance and witness of the mirage or duality.

Seeker has to realize the fact that, when he encounters sorrow and suffering, remain with it and don't try to escape from it because it is part of the mirage or duality.  Seeker should not throw himself into blind activity. Neither god glorification nor rituals can really help. Whatever is happening is happening within the duality  or mirage.  When seeker becomes aware of the formless witness and substance as true self, he will realize the fact that, the birth, life and death are mere illusion, on the standpoint of true self.

Remaining   within the duality and uncover their roots – through inquiry, analysis and reasoning and overcoming the all the doubts by Understanding and assimilating the knowledge of the true self  and  becoming free of duality in the midst of duality is non-dual wisdom.

Self is 'that which is at first known as the soul in the human experience, but which, in the end, is found to be identical with the supreme Reality.

Self is 'that which is at first known as the soul in the human experience, but which, in the end, is found to be identical with the supreme Reality.

The pursuit of truth or spirituality is discovering the truth of the true existence   as its goal the realization of one's identity with the Ultimate Truth.

Seekers goal is always a spiritual one. In fact, a true knowledge is said to be a science which shows the way of approach, or rather of return, to the spirit, which is the true Self.

There are no other paths other then the formless path by which a seeker may realize the ultimate truth.

When one is in the realm of inner equilibrium - that is, perfect co-ordination between the Spirit (soul) and the Matter (mind). In this balance lies the secret.  When the seeker of truth has learnt to view and judge the three states, on the standpoint of the soul as self, so to say, and does not allow himself to be imprisoned in the grip of ignorance. This is a very difficult thing to achieve, but it is an important aspect of pursuit of truth, inasmuch as it paves the way to detachment and gives freedom from the burden of experiencing the duality as reality.

The three states are external to the soul, which is the true self.  The three states are dependent and the soul or consciousness, the innermost self is independent.

The Unconsciousness can only be a consciousness without objects; otherwise it has no meaning. Therefore it is really consciousness, which can exit with or without the objective awareness.

That which one knows best in the world, that which is nearest to him, that of which he  can never be free, the existence of which  is certain, is his  consciousness. He may doubt anything else but he directly perceives his- self, which is consciousness.

No one so far has even been able to define the meaning of 'mind' and 'consciousness. Only through inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the true base to realize the fact that waking/dream are mental states. The truth is hidden in waking, dream and sleep--which come and go.

Before any of the states come in, there must have been the soul or consciousness, the innermost self. Before one could know that God created world, there  must be the  soul or consciousness, the innermost self  to witness the waking experience.
The man, god and world are reality within the waking experience. Without the waking experience they are non-existent.  Illustration is dream, the dream contains the dream world, dream entity, god. Similarly the waking experience contains the waking entity, and waking world and god etc.

Adhyatma means study of Atman or spirit or consciousness

Adhyatma means study of Atman or spirit or consciousness. Atman means the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness  within constitutes the most basic and fundamental study of what constitutes the real self of every Human experience.

Ego is the physical self. The soul is the eternal self. The best of scientists and thinkers have failed to understand this cosmic phenomenon for they see all from the eyes of their bloated ego. Result ... they all see one aspect of the issue never arriving at the right conclusion.  One has to penetrate the veil of duality and farther into the domain of reality.

For a Gnani the truth is totally opposite of the duality. He knows the fact that soul is the true self and the three states are mere myth on the standpoint of the soul, which is the true self.

It is not body alone that constitutes mind, but body plus world

Just to show that there is something which has not disappeared, as waking or dream  deep sleep are mere object to the “Self” . The self is the seer of the objects and object  disappears and the self, which is the subject prevails eternally. No one can see “Self” appearing or disappearing. One can only grasp mentally that it must have been there.

It is not body alone that constitutes mind, but body plus world.  This one finds from his study of analysis of the three states.

One is aware of his thoughts, feeling, and emotion.    Thoughts, feeling, and emotion are mind. And mind is an object to the witness, which is the soul. Mind will pass away; it is only the "known. Analysis reveals fact that mind is passing phenomena and not the soul/self /witness.

The “Self “is seeing or knowing the changes, not that “Self” is changing. The word change is not applicable to the “Self”. Therefore the word "immortal" is used regarding the soul. “Self” is seeing the mortal; in this sense we call “Soul/Witness immortal. There cannot be two Selves. It is impossible. Change can have a meaning only when there is more than one. Soul, the innermost Self being unchanging must be only One.

Changes occur because of the existence of something unchanging. The changing and the unchanging are always present.

The experience is part of the change and is impermanent. Therefore, the formless witness of the experience is   real and eternal. The man and his experience of the world together is an experience, which is waking experience.  Waking and its changes, one could not possibly think of the Unchangeable or realize it. The seeker should not get attach themselves to all that changes which constitutes the three states. The very fact that one is constantly thinking shows that world is always changing.

People do not distinguish between formless witness and the three states. If they knew that the three states are an object to the formless witness, then, even the gods, is only an idea they might perceive truth, not otherwise.

When one thinks of the individuality, he is thinking within the waking or dream experience. The mind appears and disappears as mind.

The mind eludes measurement; therefore it cannot be studied or analyzed with scientific instruments as science does with other physical things

The mind eludes measurement; therefore it cannot be studied or analyzed with scientific instruments as science does with other physical things. But the scientific method can be applied to it apart from scientific measurement.  The scientist is not aware of the fact that, he is searching within the mind, for the mind, with his mind.

Whatever object he is aware of within the waking experience is the mind itself, everything in the waking/dream is nothing but mind. If there is no mind, then there is no experience. If there is no experience then there is no waking/dream.   If there is no waking /dream, then there is nothing but non dual Consciousness, the true self.

No one knows the length and breadth of the mind. One does not know where it begins or ends. One cannot say where it stops. No one has seen their own mind, or others mind. Yet everyone talk of my mind, his mind, as though each mind was tagged and separated.

The mind is not limited; one cannot measure it or allot it to separate individuals; that it is everywhere because the whole waking/dream is nothing but mind.

The reality which shines fully, without waking or dream , not only when the waking or dream  is known but also when the waking or dream  is not known, is real form of the soul or true self.

The consciousness is present equally within and without the mind, is the supreme primal reality. Its form is silence and final and un-obstructable state of true knowledge. Seeker has to  know that non dual wisdom alone is non-attachment; non-dual wisdom alone is purity; non-dual wisdom is the attainment of ultimate truth ; non-dual wisdom  which is devoid of forgetfulness of Self alone is immortality; non-dual wisdom  alone is everything.

“Self” is in the form of awareness. Awareness is another name for the Self. Since “Self “is awareness there is no need to attain or cultivate it. All that has to do is to give up being aware of other things other then the “Self”. That is of three states. If one gives up being aware of them then pure awareness alone remains and that is the “Self”.

“Self “is itself aware of dual and non-dual experiences.  There is no duality in reality. Duality is due to the ego and is only relative. Relative knowledge requires a subject and an object, whereas the awareness of the “Self “is absolute and requires no object.
