Ignorant, dwelling in ignorance, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind led by the blind.

By the knowing of consciousness, the three states become known.  Thus the formless knower of the three states is consciousness. Till one becomes aware of the fact that,  the  formless soul or consciousness is the innermost self, he is bound to believe that the ego (form)  is the knower and views and judges the three states  on the standpoint of ego (form) as self.  Thus remain ignorant of the fact that, the formless soul or  consciousness  is the true self.

Only through Higher Knowledge the Imperishable consciousness is attained.  By means of the Higher Knowledge the one  beholds in everything and  everywhere consciousness, which otherwise cannot be seen or seized, which has no root or attributes, no eyes or ears, no hands or feet; which is eternal and omnipresent, all—pervading and extremely subtle; which is imperishable and the source of  three states.

Ignorant, dwelling in ignorance, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind led by the blind.

People, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's mission. Because these performers of karma do not know the non-dual Truth owing to their attachment, they will never be able to cross the ocean of duality or cycle of birth, life and death.

People regarding religious rituals, god glorification and sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. By expecting reward for their good deeds they remain in the clutches of duality and fully ignorant about the formless soul or consciousness, the innermost self.

Gnani who is in awareness of non-dual consciousness, who lives as a householder/commoner  and never poses himself as man of knowledge, but helps and guides the serious seeker as a fellow seeker by inspiring them  until they reach their non-dual destination.

Gnani knows all and understands all and full y aware of the fact that, the experiences of the three states belongs to consciousness alone. He assumes as the experiences of the three states (duality and non-duality). Consciousness dwells in the three states as its formless clay. By the knowledge of that formless clay which shines as the blissful and immortal consciousness, the Gnani behold consciousness the true self fully in all things.

A Gnani is loves humanity and does his service to the humanity within the practical world or illusion. It is erroneous to think, the one who follows the path of wisdom are running away for the world.  They are more concerned with the humanity and love in practical world and inwardly they are moving ahead to their destination seeking for.   The one who takes path of wisdom does not renounce the practical life and becomes sanyasi but he lives like any other house holder enjoying a healthy family life.

The egocentric paths are nothing to do with the path of truth or wisdom. Deeper self –search reveals the self is not the waking entity or ego but self is formless soul, which is in the form of consciousness then why follow the paths based on the false self. . Thus only by realizing the form (universe or waking) is formless because form (universe or waking) is made of the formless stuff leads one to self-awareness.     But other paths based on the false self and false experience as reality never realize the truth because they accepted something else as truth and their accepted truth is greatest hindrance is realizing ultimate truth.

Thus all egocentric paths are meant for the mass mind set who are incapable of inquiring into the nature of the universe (waking or mind) in which they exist.   It becomes very difficult for people who incapable of grasping the ultimate truth because of their inherited and inborn conditioning.   One must have the knowledge of the matter (universe or mind) and the spirit (soul or consciousness).

Seeker of truth has to know somewhere he is going wrong, and it is for the seeker to go on his own and remove all the obstacles.  The greatest hindrance is mixing religion, god, scriptures, and yogic theories. Moreover, attachment to scriptures, personal god and religious code of conduct keeps one permanently in the grip of duality.

As one goes in deeper investigation find nothing satisfying in any religion.  The more he learns of any religious doctrine he become aware of the fact that, the religion is not the means for self-realization because the true ‘Self” is not the form but the true self is formless.  The religion is based on the false self (ego) and false experience (universe).  Religion takes the false self as real self and false experience as reality. Thus whatever is based on the false self and false experience is bound to be falsehood.
