The fear exists in the realm of the falsehood. Fear is based on which wither and decays. Self is not the form, it has no age; self does not die when the body dies. The Self is free from old age, from death and grief, hunger and thirst.
People never been able to understand “form is formlessness" and never get it without knowing and realizing the fact that form is not the self.
To understand what it meant crystal clearly one has to know how the form is formless and formless is form one has to indulge in deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on his own and realize the fact that the self is not physical but formless spirit. Therefore, to know the form is formless one has to know the formless knower, which is the soul. Without this knower of the form [body], it is impossible to know the form and its experience of the world. Thus, the form and its experience of the world is dependent on the formless knower/witness.
The formless Self pervades the three states in its unmanifested form. Waking or dream finds their existence in it, but it is not limited by them.
