Seeker of truth has to realize the fact that, when one cannot see into a man’s mind he can only say he cannot accept that there is a multiplicity of minds, he can only see his physical moments but not his mind moving. Hence one can neither accept nor deny the theory of multiple individual souls. It is unproven hypothesis. To say that each mind is different is unproved, because no one has ever seen the mind. One cannot say where it starts and stops; no one ever measured its thickness, no one is aware of its location. All is supposition, not proof.
The ego- physical body and the world- arise together as waking or dream. However one cannot see the objects as apart from each other unless the ego is present within the waking or dream.
The ego –physical body –world which are present in the waking/dream are created out of one single formless substance, and on the stand point that single formless substance, which is consciousness all the divisions are mere illusion .
Seeker should not make the mistake of thinking that, only the three states are unreal, but they are real. They are also part and parcel of the illusion, because the three states are an object to the formless witness. The ‘I’ is always an object. Holding the ‘I’ as subject and trying to assimilate truth is the greatest hurdle in pursuit of truth.
Intellectuals fall into error of ascribing world to God's mind. They did not see that God also is part and parcel of the illusion. Thus, whatever prevails without the illusion is consciousness, which is ultimate truth. The truth itself is god. That is why non dual sage Sri, Sankara declared Ataman is Brahman. That is soul, which is in the form of consciousness is ultimate truth.
Nobody has ever seen God imagining the world, thus bringing it into existence in people’s mind. Then who must be the imaginer of the three states. It must the formless self or self because all these states appear from the formless soul, which is the only source and disappear in to it.
No one knows from where the objective world comes from. No creator who put them in people’s minds is indicated or provable. One can only infer that they must have come from the soul, which is in the form of consciousness, itself. No other explanation is rational. But this explanation is only a preliminary stop and is dropped ultimately with the dropping of the Formless witness, “witnessed” relation when non-causality is studied and the question itself falls to the ground.
It is not enough for seekers of truth to know that the world is mere illusion. They ought to also know that the ego also is part of the illusion; their own body is also is part of the illusion. The waking contains the world, ego and body which they have not been able to grasp. Thus the ‘I’ which is the whole waking is mere illusion. Thus whatever prevails without the illusion is the non dual reality, which is non dual Ataman/sprit.
Yoga up to the limit and extent of getting a strong and concentrative mind, and to be able to think of particular subjects, it is good; beyond that if they begin to weaken their mind and accept what they imagine as real, they begin to hallucinate. Therefore, physical based yoga is not the means to acquire non dual wisdom.
Truth cannot be attained by intuition but by reasoning on the true base [soul base], which is superior to it. Not even a combination of intellect and intuition will find truth, because the intuition and intellect are based on the ‘I’ which is the false self.
Proof is the first thing in pursuit of truth, “one has to prove the physical body is self, in order to prove the religion, god and the world as reality. God”, world, relgion cannot exist, without the man’s existence. Thus god, religion and the world are dependent on man’s existence. Man is dependent on the waking experience for his existence. And waking experience is dependent on the formless witness for its existence. Therefore, it is necessary to verify the truth about man’s existence.
Appearances and quotations have nothing to do with pursuit of truth. Doubts come to man when he meets with suffering and disappointment. The latter are absolutely necessary to make one inquire. Thus when one gets suffering he begins to doubts why all his good deeds , religious rituals, worships and prayers, path of love, kriya yoga have not worked in his favour and help him to overcome his suffering, thus he starts doubting the validity of his inherited beliefs and starts inquiring. Pursuit of truth is for getting rid of all doubts and confusions. Truth pursuit begins with doubt that, doubting about one’s own self, his inherited beliefs and conditioning.
Until Seeker indulges in deeper self-search and verifies and realizes the fact that, the mind is not within the brain, but man and his experience of the universe are within the mind, he will not be able to cross the threshold of duality. Seeker also has to realize and come to firm conviction after verifying all the facts that-- the mind is in the form of whole universe and universe appears as whole waking or dream. Only when one gets firm conviction of what is what, than only it is possible to unfold the mystery of the mind or universe.
Just as the dream entity and dream world appears and disappears on its own and the individuality within the dream becomes unreal when waking takes place, because the dream as a whole is mere illusion. Similarly, the waking entity and waking world appears and disappears on its own and the individuality within the waking becomes unreal when the formless witness consciously wakes without waking body and without the waking world, in the midst of waking experience. That is, becoming aware of the fact that, the body and the universe are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Consciousness is second to none. Therefore consciousness is ultimate reality or Brahman.
If one observes into his own mind, he does not seem to find the universe there. In sleep it is quite blank that is, without the waking or without the dream. Similarly if one looks into an egg, he does not see the hen there. Both man and his world or hen and egg are within the mind or universe or waking or dream. The dream just appears, no one plans it puts the dream ideas into his mind. Same way the waking also appears spontaneously on its own accord. And within the waking or dream one sees his body, ego and the world as real. Therefore it is necessary to realize the mind is not within the body [brain] but the body and the universe are within the mind.
The mind is in the form of universe and universe appears as waking or dream. The dream is parallel waking and waking is parallel dream. The witness of the coming and going of the three states is formless and apart. The formless witness itself is the substance of the three states. Thus the formless witness and substance are one in essence and that essence is consciousness. Thus there is no second thing exists other than consciousness. Therefore consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman because everything in the universe is nothing but illusion created out of consciousness. Thus the experience of birth, life, death and the world which takes place within the universe is mere illusion created out of consciousness.
Religionists assume God creates the ideas and puts them in peoples head during dream or takes them away during sleep. Some Intellectual thinkers assume God puts them into your head during waking. But no one has ever seen God doing this: it is supposition. Therefore there is need to realize ‘What is mind?’ ‘What is the substance of the mind?’ ‘What is the source of the mind?’ in order to realize the mind and its substance and its source are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness and consciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman. Thus, realize the ultimate truth right here, right now, not in next life or next world.
