Q: The term
"void" is used in certain scriptures. I’d like to know your thoughts
on it ultimately, rather than mid-way - i.e. do you see all things being resolved back into Atman,
or does the world of form, in a sense, constitute the Atman or soul I think the psychology is helpful to go
beyond duality?
Ans: All these confusion
are bound to exist on the base of ‘I’ as self.
However, when one becomes aware of the fact that, ‘I’ is not the self
but self is the 'Soul, or consciousness , the innermost self, and he is able to view and judge on the base
of Soul, or consciousness the innermost self, then he also become aware of the fact that nothing is exiting
[duality], nothing ever existed. But to
come to this understanding, it takes time, because one has to do lots of home
work. One has to unlearn whatever he has learnt and accumulated on the base of
‘I’.
Soul (Consciousness) is unconscious of its formless non-dual true nature
in waking or dream (duality or illusion).
In Self-Awareness the Soul, the innermost self is aware of its own
formless non-dual nature. In
self-awareness, the three states are one is essence. Awareness is the nature of the soul. The formless soul (consciousness) can remain
with or without the physical awareness (mind or waking or dream). In deep sleep it remains without the mind or waking or dream. The one which is aware of the waking or dream
and one which is unaware of the waking or dream is not the waking entity (ego)
but the soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states.
We have to mentally grasp the
existence of the formless witness of the three states, than it becomes very
easy to grasp the fact that our body and our experience of world are one is
essence and that essence is consciousness, our innermost self.
On the base of ‘I’ the universe is reality.
But on the base of' the Soul, or consciousness , the innermost self, nothing exist other itself.
To the formless non-dual true nature of' Soul, or consciousness , the innermost self, they called it void or
nothingness or emptiness. But that Void or emptiness or nothingness is the nature of the soul consciousness , the innermost self. void or emptiness or nothingness means soul , the innermost self.
Only when one who
view and judges on the base of ‘I’, he feels it is void or emptiness or or nothingness.
But for one who has learns to view and judge the worldview on the base of the Soul, or consciousness the innermost self than everything is consciousness, and nothing exits other then consciousness. Since there is no second thing
other then consciousness. consciousness alone prevails; when the
seeking mind negates the world of forms [waking/dream] one cannot say it is
void or empty or nothingness.
Until the self identifies with the flesh and blood, and
material world, it is caught up in psychological apparatus, and believes the
duality as reality. The truth is beyond psychology.
Until one considers ‘I’ itself as self, he cannot go beyond
psychology, because psychology is based on ‘I’ as self. Thus one has to understand the psychology is
limited to the physical apparatus, it cannot go beyond the physicality.
