Believing in any religion is a great hurdle in assimilating nondual truth.

By Spiritual based upbringing one becomes exposure to both the real and unreal, and the freedom from experiencing unreality as reality.  There is no need of any belief system. The belief is mere speculation on imagination not truth.  The belief system conditions man to base on the belief. The belief is always based on the false self, within the false experience. Believing in any religion is a great hurdle in assimilating Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

There is no value of any belief, which is based on the false self(ego or waking entity), within the false experience(waking).  The belief is based on the physical self within the illusion, whereas, the Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is based on the soul, the innermost self.  Therefore there is a need to know the fact that, the ‘Self” is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the self is the formless soul, which witnesse the coming and going of the three states.

If self is not waking entity (form) then the belief and belief system becomes meaningless on the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self.
It is impossible to know that one's  estimate of life is a correct one.   Whatever one plan always does not pan out, despite being in the right place at the right time, but most people believe that someone up there is responsible for it. Some experiences even hurt or disappointing even after all the prayers and worship one indulges does not yield and results.

It is impossible to get solutions to make one’s problems disappear how much ever he tries to solve it. — from God ,guru or yogi  or elsewhere — but one feels he  has to find some permanent solution for his worldly problem and circumstances , which comes on its own without invitation. Sometimes this becomes difficult for him, because he cannot co-up with it. Some times even very difficult problems solve on its own without much effort and give one relief from the burden.  But one has to realize all the good and bad situations and circumstances are happening within the illusion. Man thinks that they are related to God but they are unaware how
he is related to God, when he has not  seen God personally and that He created the world, that he has manifested himself is merely supposed. Even if it may be, but how does he know? How does he know that scriptures are true? The sages and saints might have been mistaken. To accept these scriptures with blind faith without reasoning is to possess the sheepish mentality.
