The oneness is the nature of the soul, which is the innermost self. Until and unless one realizes the fact, that soul is the true self, there is no unity in diversity. Simply speculating on scriptural or bookish knowledge without verifying their validly deeply enough, it will make one stick to his intellectual understanding. The intellectuality is not wisdom
Those who understand Non-Duality intellectually will not be able to cross the trash old of duality. The realization comes after constant reflecting on the formless substance and witness of the three states, and realizing the fact that, the substance and witness are one in essence. The diversity has no values on the standpoint of the essence, which is the soul ,which is present in the form of consciousness (spirit).
Writing book on non-duality by speculation on the base of physical self will yield only speculated wisdom, not non-dual wisdom. Therefore, reading books of speculated non-duality based on ancient books as proof will not transport the seeker to his non-dual destination. Discussing on the speculated knowledge will not help the seeker in assimilating the non-dual truth. Seeker has to do his own research and home work on his own by verifying every claim and accept only un-contradicted truth derived from deeper inquiry and reasoning.
The bookish knowledge and scriptural knowledge makes one egocentric. Egocentricity is biggest hurdle in pursuit of truth. It makes one feel that he knows everything and there is noting else to know. Thus, he will quote from the book or scriptures he has read to prove his point. Thus quoting from book or scriptures and trying to prove his point is not realization. The truth has to be proved without scriptures or bookish knowledge. Tying to snub others by arguing on one’s own point of view without going deep enough on the subject, is only useful in satisfying one’s ego. Therefore, one needs lots of humility in pursuit of truth.
Second-hand knowledge gathered from books or teachers can never emancipate one until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. One has Realize the fact that self is not physical, but spirit by deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning on the base of formless soul/spirit.
One has to realize the how the three states are unreal? , and on what standpoint they are unreal? There is no need for a teacher or guru in pursuit of truth. A well directed inquiry, analysis and reasoning takes one to his non-dual destination. If one is sharp and receptive enough to grasp then it becomes easy to realize the non-dual truth. Till one thinks without the guru it is impossible to get self realization he will remain in hallucination with the idea of expecting the realization from his guru’s grace. All this guru business is not for those who are seeking truth, it is meant for the religious and yogic minded seekers.
One remains in the mirage though he knows it is unreal intellectually. The realization comes only when becomes fully aware of the formless substance and witness of the three states is traced and realized it to be the true self. The mirage will not vanish but the ignorance vanishes and one becomes fully aware of the fact that, the whole experience of diversity is the soul or consciousness, the innermost self. Thus the diversity has no values on the standpoint of the soul or consciousness, the innermost self.
The world does not disappears on realization of it being actually the spirit. But the ignorance disappears reality of the unreal world will be exposed.
