Seeker has to know the source of the three states is the formless
soul or consciousness. soul or consciousness is the innermost self. seeker has to learn to view and judge the three states on the standpoint of the formless
soul , the innermost self to get answers for all his doubts and confusions.
The soul precedes time.
When the objective Awareness appears the memories and mental habits
attracts attention, and gets focalized and a person and the world appear (waking or dream). When objective awareness disappears as sleep the person and the
world (waking or dream) disappears.
The waking or dream contains all form, space and time. The formless soul or conciousness , the innermost self
contains all the three states.
Soul or consciousness is timeless. Time exists in duality only. Beyond duality,
there is no form, time and space.
Formless Soul or consciousness, the innermost self is the
timeless and spaceless reality, mindless, undifferenciated, the infinite
potentiality, the source and origin, the substance and the essence, both matter
and consciousness, yet beyond both.
Formless Soul or conciousness , the innermost self cannot be perceived, but can be grasped as
ever witnessing the witness, perceiving the perceiver, the origin and the end
of all manifestation, the root of time and space, the prime cause in every
chain of causation.
Just like in a movie show, the light gives sentient to
the movie, so does soul gives sentient to the waking or dream. When one observes closely
and he will see that all names and forms
are but transitory waves on the ocean of soul, which is in the form of consciousness, that only
consciousness can be said to be, not its transformations.
In the formless soul or consciousness all the three states appears and disappears.
Waking or dream are just waves on the ocean of soul or consciousness. Waking or dream
is like s waves they come and go. Soul or consciousness is like an ocean it is infinite and
eternal. Seeker has to know the fact that, the true self as the ocean and the
womb of all existence. These are all metaphors of course; the reality is beyond
description. One can know it only through perfect understanding and realization.
Neither comes first mind or soul, neither appears alone.
Matter is the mind; soul is the formless substance of the mind. Together they
make the waking/dream. Pervading and transcending is soul or consciousness , pure objectless
awareness-is its nature.
When the self-identification with the body is no more,
all space and time are in the soul, which is the true self. The soul exists as formless substance of the
three states; it remains beyond the three states as formless witness.
Mind or ’I’ is always of movement, of change. There can be
no such thing a changeless mind. Changelessness wipes out mind or ’I’ immediately.
When the ignorance drops the birthless and deathless state appears. Only when spirit and matter come together, the soul elevates itself higher.
In reality soul/self were never born and never shall die. But now as the physical body one imagine that the body as the self, and is caught in the concept of illusory birth, life and death.
Within the limits of illusion the ignorance makes one
think body as self. But this is true only from the base of ‘I’. In fact, there
is no body, nor a world it is only a mental condition, waking also is dream-like
state.
