If man was unconscious during deep sleep, than upon waking
one could not possibly say that he slept well or he had a restless sleep;
because he would not have remembered it. Then what was it that is aware of the
dual and non-dual experiences which appear and disappears in succession.
In deep sleep one does not experience duality. This
recollection of deep sleep experience helps the seeker to realize the formless non-dual true nature of the true self or soul or consciousness.
The ‘I’, is been attached all kinds of things such
as -- body, feelings, thoughts, ideas, possessions and the world and people within the waking experience.
All these self-identifications are misleading.
Because of them, man limits ‘I’ to the physical entity and experiences the
world as a person, and views and judges the worldview on the viewpoint of a
person, within the waking experience. Therefore, he is completely ignorant of the
reality of his true existence.
The Waking experience (mind or ‘I’) by which is powered by consciousness
[formless witness], without the ‘I’ [Waking experience]' there is nothing
exists other than consciousness. All knowledge is about the 'Waking experience (‘I’)
'proves that the formless witness of the Waking experience ('I’) is eternal.
Therefore, the appearing and disappearing of the Waking experience (‘I’), is
only mirage witnessed by soul or consciousness (formless witness). The waking experience does not ever exist in
reality or on the standpoint of the consciousness, which is the innermost self
or Formless witness.
The dream shows that consciousness can materialize
the whole experience of duality. When the consciousness can materialize the
dream world, it can materialize the Waking experience also.
Outside the mind (Waking experience or ‘I’), there
is nothingness. The nothingness is consciousness. All is one and all is
contained in 'Formless consciousness. There is neither Formless witness nor waking
experience, when the Seeker realizes his true existence.
By knowing and realizing consciousness as the
substance and witness of the Waking experience the seeker can be free from experiencing
the illusory experience of birth ,life , death and the world ( waking experience) as reality.
The seeker realizes that by analyzing the three
states through Inquiry and reasoning and realizes the fact that the state of
duality is unreal.
Upon waking from dream the dream is falsified, same
way when the true self (soul or consciousness) wakes up in its formless non-dual nature,
then the waking experience becomes falsehood.
Seeker has to give up his entire physical based
search and assert for the real by investigating and becoming aware of the fact
that ‘I’ is not the self but soul or formless consciousness is the true self.
