Consciousness is permanent, and ever present and only the three states changes

Consciousness is permanent, and ever present and only the three states changes. There are no two self.  The permanent ‘self is consciousness. And the ego is the false self within the false experience of duality (waking or dream). The way to the Real self is through inquiry and reasoning.

Consciousness is ever-present, like the screen on which all three states moves like cinematographic pictures e. While the pictures appear on it, it remains invisible. Stop the pictures, and the screen, which has all along been present, in fact the only object that has existed throughout, will become clear.

All these universes, humans, objects, thoughts and events are merely part of the waking /dream.  Waking/dream moving like pictures on the screen of Consciousness, which alone is real.

Waking and dream pass away, but Consciousness remains ever. Seeker must distinguish between the ‘true self, and the ‘ waking entity or ego. ‘I’ am merely an object to Atman. Atman is the subject, which witnesses the ‘I’ or waking or dream or duality.

One is born, lives sleeps, wakes up, eats and thinks, dies within the waking/dream. But the Atman the true self is eternal existence, free from ignorance and illusion.

If one thinks ‘I’ as self,  he  remains with thoughts and experience of the world, but when one holds the soul as self , the  ‘I’ or  mind is mere illusion on the standpoint of soul as self.

Soul, which is in the form of consciousness is the witness of the appearance and disappearance of the ‘I’ or mind or duality. Duality is like a cinema-show the soul which is the true self. But when there is no duality only the soul or consciousness prevails as ultimate truth. The ignorance disappears in the light of the Supreme consciousness.

Ignorance is the cause of the illusion. And Illusion is cause of the universe

Just as the dream entity and the dream universe in the dream, is an illusion, which appeared and disappeared, for the realized one, this waking entity and the waking world, is mere illusion created out of consciousness because he is fully aware of the fact that the self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the formless knower of the three states.

When the waking entity and the waking world are mere illusion then the experience birth, life, death and the world are mere illusion created out of consciousness. These beings so, how can Prarabdha, come along with birth, when birth itself takes place within the illusion?

Ignorance prevents one from seeing the truth. Ignorance is the cause of the illusion. And Illusion is cause of the universe. Universe is cause of experiencing birth, life and death as reality.  Until one becomes aware of the fact that, the universe, which is in the form of mind, is myth, it is impossible to assimilate the self-knowledge.

If there is no ignorance, then where can be the universe be? Seeing myth instead of truth, due to utter confusion, He only sees this universe, without realizing the reality.

Once the real nature of the “true Self” is realized, the “Universe” will not be seen as real, once knowledge of  the “true Self” is gained  and one  establishes in his formless  true identity ,which is consciousness ,  then the birth, life, death and the universe will never remain as reality .

Consciousness the true Self is hidden and pervades in everything and everywhere in the three states as their formless substance and witness; but it is seen by Gnanis through their one—pointed and subtle intellects.

The serious seeker should merge his speech in his mind and his mind in his intellect by understanding the fact that all his experiences are created out of consciousness.

Seeker has to arise! awake and learn to know the fact that the experience of  duality [waking/dream] is created out of Atman or consciousness, without understanding this fact , there is no unity in diversity. The path of truth is Like the sharp edge of a razor, so it is hard to tread and difficult to cross without perfect understanding and without the guidance of Gnani

Having realized consciousness as true self , which is soundless, intangible, formless, undecaying and likewise tasteless, eternal and odourless; having realized That which is without beginning and end, beyond the Great and unchanging—one is freed from experiencing the duality as reality.
It is through consciousness that one perceives all objects in sleep or in the waking state. Having realized the vast, all—pervading consciousness, one enters into non dual tranquillity.

He who knows the consciousness as true self, the formless  experiencer of  the three states, as consciousness, free from experiencing the  past ,present and the future as reality.

Atman or consciousness is undistorted Consciousness. He who meditates on consciousness is free from experiencing the pain and pleasure as reality, liberated from the bonds of ignorance; he becomes free from experiencing the diversity as reality.

The consciousness, when identifies with the body and dwelling in it by experiencing the duality as reality. If it is torn away from the body and its experience, is freed from it, what then remains?  Whatever prevails is non-dual consciousness.

The consciousness, which remains awake while the sense—organs are asleep, shaping one lovely form after another that indeed is the Pure, that is consciousness  and that alone is called the Immortal. All three states are contained in consciousness and none can pass beyond.

Realization of truth of one’s true existence is important factor as the mankind is caught up in the crossroads of witness the wars and terrorism in the name of fundamentalism.

There is a need of an atmosphere of free will, wherein inquiring, analyzing and reason is the order of the day. The more one inquires, analyzes and reasons, he learns and able to grasp the non dual truth.
This helps the seeker of truth to inquisitive and opens his vistas and dialogue with like minded fellow seekers. The dialogue between the religious and the non-religious is of no use.  As what is important is truth of the existence is first and then the rest in pursuit of truth.

Seeker of truth needs to work towards, how he has to find answers for all his doubts and confusions. Most people consider the ultimate truth is as a threat their religious belief.
The ultimate aim of the human being is to find and realize   the truth and work towards it rather than fight that one has the truth to oneself and other truths are wrong or inferior.

Realization of truth of one’s true existence is important factor as the mankind is caught up in the crossroads of witness the wars and terrorism in the name of fundamentalism.

Universal peace is need of the hour. The political oppression and religious agenda of conversion are being challenged all over. This requires a perfect understanding of what is truth and what is not truth, for constructive action rather than destruction. As the old tenets of religion are loosing ground, newer avenues are sought through fundamentalism to protect the old rut, which is a dangerous sign. Only realization of non dual helps to bring in greater tolerance and social responsibility.

Seekers of truth must read more on critical thinking and develop their spirit of reasoning.  The younger generation who are exposed to the world and realities of the atrocities committed in the name of religion and god are moving towards questioning the hypocrisy of religion. This is an important force to reckon with and need to be tapped to make the younger generations’ constructive thinkers with strong reasoning.

The consciousness  is self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny the consciousness , because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. The consciousness  is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions and proofs. Self is within, self is without; Self is before, Self is behind; Self is on the right, Self is on the left; Self is above and Self is below.

consciousness  is not an object, as it is invisible, beyond the reach of the physical eyes. This does not mean that consciousness  is a negative concept, or a metaphysical abstraction, or a nonentity, or a void. It is not another. It is all-full, infinite, changeless, self-existent, self-delight, self-knowledge and self-bliss. It is essence. It is the essence of the knower. It is the Seer, Transcendent and Silent Witness.

Consciousness  is impersonal, without attributes, formless, without special characteristics, immutable, eternal and non-agent. It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses.

Consciousness  is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. consciousness  cannot be described, because description implies distinction. consciousness  cannot be distinguished from any other than it. In consciousness , there is not the distinction of substance and attribute. Non dual   constitute the very essence or nature of consciousness , and not just its attributes. The consciousness  is impersonal. It becomes a personal self only in the illusory duality.

This awareness of the consciousness without physicality is possible for the individual only if the root cause for the ignorance is completely destroyed.

Ignorance prevents one from seeing the truth. Ignorance is the cause of the illusion. Illusion is cause of the universe.

The birth, life, death and universe are reality within the waking or dream.  The waking or dream is unreality on the base of the true self, which is consciousness.

Hence if one wishes to overcome the experience of birth, life, death and universe [illusion], he has to realize the fact that, the self is not physical but the self is consciousness.

This awareness of the consciousness without physicality is possible for the individual only if the root cause for the ignorance is completely destroyed. Ignorance arises only if one sees the objects of the world as external to him.  If there is no second object other then consciousness, then there is no room for any ignorance at all! Absence of ignorance leads helps one to overcome the illusory cycle of birth, life and death. Once a soul/self is out of this illusory cycle, there is no scope for experiencing the illusion as reality.  Hence this self-awareness is known as "Liberation" or “freedom”.

To get freed from illusory reality, following the same track, one must get rid of the 'Notion of diversity' which is the root cause of experiencing illusion as reality. This is the road to nondual peace, which is the nature of the true self.

How does one know that, there is no diversity at all, when we have the cognition of this entire universe with all varieties in its creation?

The truth which is consciousness is the only reality and that the apparent notion of diversity (the root cause of all miseries) is only due to ignorance. If this ignorance is destroyed once then the knowledge of consciousness arises. Then one becomes fully aware of the fact that the consciousness is ultimate truth.

Once this self- knowledge arises, one is able to disconnect identity with the ego and identify with the true self, which is the consciousness. Thus consciousness is ultimate reality.

Birthlessness of the self, which is free from manifestation and causal relationship, is absolute and constant. For duality i.e. the perceiving mind and its objects is merely an objectification of the mind.

Realizing the absence of causality as ultimate truth and not finding any other reason for birth, one attains that state which is free from grief, desire and fear.

On account of attachment to unreal objects the mind pursues such objects. But it comes back to its pure state when it attains non-attachment, realizing their unreality.

The mind freed from attachment to all external objects and undistracted by fresh objects attains the state of immutability. Such a mind is consciousness; it is undifferentiated, birthless and non-dual.

The birthless, dreamless and sleepless Reality reveals itself by itself; for this consciousness by its very nature is self- luminous.  The Consciousness becomes easily hidden because of attachment to any single object and is revealed with great difficulty.

The ignorant, with their spiritually immature   minds, verily cover consciousness by predicating of it such attributes as existence, non-existence, existence and non-existence and total non-existence, deriving these characteristics from the notions of change, immovability, combination of change and immovability and absolute negation which they associate with consciousness.

Attachment to unreality hides the truth from one's view. He who knows the consciousness to it ever untouched by them indeed knows all.

There is nothing else remains to be desired by him who has attained the natural state, -a state of complete non-duality, which is without beginning, middle, or end.

One has to avoid using the words like higher and lower self, because it gives an idea that there are two self. And also gives an idea that both the self are real.  It is only in yogic/ and astral projection they say as higher and lower self, or in the beginning of spiritual pursuit to convince the beginners.

When one reaches the higher understanding, then one has to use only subject and object and real and unreal to grasp the non-dual truth.

By saying higher self are us, you have left out the world, and you are speaking of the individual self [ego].  And it is only half truth.  Thus the consciousness becomes individualized whereas the consciousness is the formless substance and witness of three states, which pervades in everything and everywhere in the three states. The self [Consciousness] exists only as formless substance witness of the three states, therefore it cannot be found as an entity or identity in the physical world.
You/me/others/and all the object seen exists within the world. The world exists within the waking experience.  The waking experience/dream is mind [duality].  The deep sleep is no mind state [non-duality]. The mind appears and disappears as ‘I’. Thus limiting the ‘I’/mind only to the physical entity is cause of all confusion. Thus one has to make sure first ‘I’/mind, is not the self, but ‘I’ is the whole experience of waking/dream/mind. If “I” is there then the mind is there. If mind is there then the waking/dream is there. Absent of ‘I’/mind is absent of waking/dream.
To describe the true self [consciousness] one has to bifurcate the subject, from object mentally, by constantly reflecting on the formless witness and grasp and realize it. One has to realize the fact that, the waking/dream are the objects, and the subject is formless.  The waking/dream is an object to the formless subject.  This has to be grasped mentally; it cannot be described by the words. This can be achieved through constantly reading and reflecting on the F.P blogs repetitively   which in turn creates the base and also a yardstick subconsciously and replaces the reasoning faculty from present form base to formless base.  Once one becomes aware of the fact that, the subject is formless then he becomes aware that mind is an object [I].

Thus the waking/dream experiences in which man and the world are present is an object to the subject. Thus it proves the fact that man is mere experience and perceives the world within the experience [waking/dream]. [Illustration is dream- the dream is not experienced by physical body]  Therefore, the experiencer [witness] of the whole waking is formless. Thus the formless experiencer [witness] is the subject and the waking/dream is an object. The formless witness is the true self [consciousness], all else [waking/dream] is illusion.

The subject [consciousness] is hidden within the three states as its formless clay and it is without the object [waking/dream] as its formless witness. The subject is apart [consciousness] from the object because it is not an entity or identity within the waking/dream.   Thus it is necessary for anyone to study deeply enough to get the perfect understanding and realization.
There are three aspects in pursuit of truth, 1. Discovering 2. Assimilating 3. Realizing.  Only by discovering and assimilating the wisdom will not dawn, one has to realize it, by constantly reflecting on the subject until the conviction becomes firmer and matures.

Everyone is seeking eternal peace and misery is most unwelcome to all creatures.

Everyone is seeking eternal peace and misery is most unwelcome to all creatures. Every living creature is engaged in some activity or the other only in search of eternal peace. But they have not   attained this peace because they are not aware of their formless true identity.  Instead they have gotten themselves entangled only in pain and pleasure because they are not aware of the fact that, the self is not form but the self is formless.  They have not been able to get this non-dual peace because they seek physical happiness from external objects, while the truth is that non-dual peace is within the mind and the search must be made within to attain this supreme peace, by investigating what is mind and what is the substance of the mind.

All the pleasures that are derived from the world are trifles compared to that non-dual peace which is the Supreme. Hence, it would the greatest help if one could show the way to this eternal peace. The Self-Knowledge is the tool to non-dual peace which is the nature of the true self, which is in the form of consciousness.

In the state of non-duality where there is complete cessation of sense “I am the doer ", "the objects that are seen / perceived are different from the self, which is consciousness", so on and so forth. In this state, there is no misery or delusion in the realm of non-dual truth. There is delusion or misery for the one who has realized this non-dual truth. “Because he is fully aware the experience is mere mirage created out of consciousness.  Thus man and his universe is mere experience within the mirage.  In realm of truth there is no mirage only non-dual reality.

The mixture of pain and pleasure is inevitable to all beings that are born within the illusion, which is in the form of universe. Until man thinks he is the doer he is action oriented. In the realm of action he thinks he is an individual separate from the world. As an individual he has the conviction that, he is born in this world and world existed prior to him. Until this conviction is there it is very difficult to grasp the non-dual truth.

Deeper inquiry, analysis and reasoning revels the fact that the self is not the form [body or ego] but formless [soul or consciousness].  Therefore, if the self is formless, then, one which is born, lives and dies is not the self. If the self is birth-less then whatever seen, known, believed, experienced on the base of birth entity is mere myth.  Thus the birth entity and its experience of the world is myth hence the world where the birth, life and death takes place is myth.

The universe which is in the form of mind comes and goes as waking or dream is unreal on the standpoint of the true self ,which is formless soul ,which is in the form of consciousness.  The substance and witness of the mind or universe is consciousness.   Since, the formless substance and witness are one in essence there is no scope for existence for second thing.   Hence it is nondual.  Thus consciousness alone is real all else is mere mirage created out of consciousness.
As long as one believes the body as self, he is bound to believe his body as the doer. Until he thinks the body as the doer, he is bound to believe that, birth life, death and the world as reality. Until he believes the birth, life and death as reality he is bound to experience the illusion as reality. Without the consciousness the body and the world crease to exist.
