Many people are good at acrobatics with words, but their knowledge is limited to
the physical self. One may intellectually know what is truth but intellectual understanding is not realization. Realization comes only after one gets the firm conviction that the self is neither the waking entity nor the self is dream entity but the self the formless witness of the three states. When one is able to mentally hold on to the the formless witness and able to view and judge the three states than he will realize the the three states are mere illusion created out of consciousness. The illusion and reality are one in essence. The realization will
happen as conviction of soul, the innermost self grows subconsciously . it is all the inner work.
Only the chosen one will be able to realize
the truth, not Tom Dick and Harry.
Everyone’s individual experiences are not the same. Some are so much immersed in materiality,
religion and duty bound towards their family and society, and they will not be
attracted to the path of wisdom .
All the individual experiences good
or bad, positive or negative are happening within the mirage therefore it has
no value. The one which becomes experience of diversity becomes formless and non-dual. Thus one has to find out what
becomes dual and non-dual. Once we become aware of it, then he becomes aware of
the truth. Thus the intellectuality is
limited to the mirage. The wisdom is beyond intellectuality. Thus one has to vies and judge the three
states on the base of the real author of the three states, which is the soul
There is neither doer not doing on
the standpoint of the soul as self. A
Gnani treats the waking experience as mere mirage and views and judges on the
standpoint of the soul as self, thus he is fully aware of the fact that, the
experience of diversity [waking] is mere mirage created out of Atman/self.
Hence there is no second thing other then Atman which is the true self.
People, who expound non-duality on
the physical base and try to explain it, are mere scholars, not Gnanis. Thus
perfect understanding and assimilation is required for realization. Whatever they have read, heard and
accumulated as truth has to be verified through deeper inquiry and reasoning on
the base of the soul. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.
Your guru and guide is the formless
soul or consciousness . And the disciple also is the soul or consciousness ; therefore there is
neither guru nor disciple, nor teaching because everything is consciousness. That is why Sri, Sankara said: Atman is Brahman—that is the soul
is ultimate truth or reality. Therefore, it is not correct to accept any teaching without verifying validity of their claim.
