That is not "meditation", but rather simply who we are at our very core.
I - is really more than enough in this domain.

The infinite Sea is "I M"...And i see My Body as a fish of illusion in it..., at that moment i see every body and everything like a fishes of illusion in it...Fish has at least some identity in the sea...However in the sea " I M" everything...See More

    • Santthosh Kumaar In self-awareness there is no sense of 'I' . 'I' is mere mirage which comes and goes as waking and dream. Deeper self-search revels the fact that 'I' is not the self. Thus holding the 'I' as self is erroneous from the ultimate standpoint.

    • Satish Kumar ‎@Santtosh Kumar, "I" or "Self" r same, this "I" is "unattached awareness"...This "I" is not waking or dreaming Mirage..., The words used by the "Self realised" narrate an essence..., whoever get caught in the words misses that essence..., Keep smiling...

I respect your views . but as per my conviction:-Whatever appears and disappears as 'I' is not the self ' , when the I is there than the mind is there , when the mind is there then the universe there ,when the universe is there than the duality is there. in duality the words and thoughts are reality. And when one holds thoughts and words to symbolize the self , he will not be able to cross the trashold of duality. Deeper self search revels the fact that, self is neither waking entity nor the dream entity but the formless witness of the three states. there is a need to know what mind is in order to know the self.

Santthosh ji, only self is there, nothing else is there..., whatever forms we see with eyes is also self...Thoughts r also self...., Body too is self..., however it cannot be known by Body or Mind..., only when self is realised it can be realised... there is no other way...Its like a sea in which water (Ek Tattwa) is self, waves r like thoughts, whirls r like body... Keep smiling...Realised persons also get thoughts and carry body till it falls...

Sathishji,Our body ,world, thoughts, whatever seen, known, believed and experienced are happenings within the waking experience. the self, which is in the form of consciousness pervades all the three states, not waking experience alone. the three states are an object to the self, which is the subject. the dream becomes unreal when waking takes place. the waking becomes unreal when one becomes aware of the fact that, the self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but it is the formless witness of all the three states, without the physical apparatus. From the ultimate standpoint the three states are mere mirage created out of consciousness, which is the true self. thus consciousness alone is real and ultimate truth or Brahman. a realized person never thinks his body as self for him his body and his experience of the world are mere mirage. he sees the three states as passing show [comes and goes] thus for him self alone is real his body and world are mere illusion. self realization is to know the truth[true-self] in the midst of the illusion. thus he never worries about whatever comes and whatever goes.

    • Satish Kumar Santthosh ji, when every read/heard/believed knowledge is dropped, only thereafter essence of self can be realised..., thereafter a suitable near understandable name is given to it for the purpose of sharing with the people, who have not yet developed the capacity to realise it...Knowing well that it can not be described...''' Thnx and keep smiling...

    • Jay Jacobs I must agree with Santthosh Kumaar. In my experience, in the state of Advaita, the sense of "I" is completely absent.

    • Santthosh Kumaar Thank you Jay. As Nisragadatta Maharaj said; Millions are in search of truth but one in million grasp it. You are that one from that million.
      April 10 at 5:58pm · · 1 person

    • Jay Jacobs Santthosh, I may be one in a million but I have not become Self-realized. Intellectually, I have recognized the truth of Advaita but I have had only one experience of undivided consciousness and was fortunate enough to have retained the memory of it. I'm not comfortable speaking about things of which I have no experience.

      Dear Jay,
It is reveled ones means you are the chosen one. The inner works is on. As a person in practical world one tries to focus his attention on it and trying to realize it. But it is the self that has to realize it in the form not the person trying to realize it, because he and his experience of the world are part of the illusion. As the inner conviction grows on its own and the self reveals on its own. Everything is happening on its own within the illusion whether we are seeking truth or involved in religious or yogic atheistic activities .
      The Upanishads clearly indicate:-
It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Ataman reveals Its own form. [Katha Upanishad Ch-II -23-P-20]
This Ataman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Ataman—by him alone is Ataman attained. It is Ataman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. [3 –page-70 MundakaUpanishad (Upanishads by Nikilanada)

    • Satish Kumar Tru, its whom it choose and not anyone else...,
Is there anyone else who can say that "he is the chosen one"...?

      April 14 at 11:17am ·

    • Santthosh Kumaar Correction-please read as:-But it is the self that has to realize it that it is the form, not the person trying to realize it
      April 14 at 11:17am ·

    • Santthosh Kumaar
Man and the world are product of ignorance. Therefore, it is not the man who is in ignorance it is the self which is in ignorance of its formless true nature. In ignorance the illusion is experienced as reality . Without the illusion there is only self awareness. the person within the illusion if he gets the glimpses of the non-dual nature of the self , his conviction is growing and he is nearer to realize his non-dual true identity. When the self which is trying to know itself than it becomes aware of the fact that , it is not the form but it is formless.
