    • Harsh K. Luthar Who is that worries? It is ego. It views reality in terms of gain and loss. Bhagavan advises to surrender the ego to the Lord that sits in the Heart.

    • Harsh K. Luthar Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that action cannot be given up. That is according to destiny. However, the the sense of doership, "I act" can be surrendered.

    • Harsh K. Luthar Yes, it is difficult. Surrender is difficult. Bhagavan Ramana used to say that one can surrender partially at first and continue to do self-inquiry. If one keeps the company of sages, or creates that mental atmosphere (through reflecting on their teachings), it becomes easy.

    • Harsh K. Luthar Some people advise reading scriptures also. That is good too. But for us Bhagavan's words are scriptures. So that is good too.

    • Peter Nicolaisen Why doesn't anyone try to answer his question? That is totally central. Otherwise it is just another clever "statement" that makes you feel a bit better for a moment. His question was;"why do you worry about it?" Well, why do you?

    • Harsh K. Luthar It is from the beautiful work, "Letters from Sri Ramanashram"
      April 9 at 9:32am ·

    • Harsh K. Luthar The "Letters" were written by Suri Naggama to her brother from Sri Ramanashram. Suri Nagamma had Bhagavan proofread them and sent them to her brother after Bhagavan approved each letter.
      April 9 at 9:36am ·

    • Peter Nicolaisen He is not proposing "don't worry about it!"
He is asking why. It is an invitation for self inquery. And it is anything but simple.

    • Debojit Chowdhury Worry occurs from object orientation and when we re-align our vision with the eyes of the Lord and focus on our Self we do away with all the vacillations of the mind; blessings all ♥ ♥ ♥

    • Santthosh Kumaar Whatever comes and whatever goes is mere illusion created out of consciousness. The soul/self ,which is in the form of the consciousness alone is rea,l and it is the witness of the coming and going of the illusion, which is in the form of the mind.

    • Darryl Snaychuk When actions become occurrences, occurrences become God. Release the identification as the one involved in what is occurring. What has it to do with You? You are the shining Light which illumines it all.
      April 9 at 7:19pm · · 1 person

    • Santthosh Kumaar When witness and witnessed both are one in essence and that essence is consciousness than there is no second thing exists other then consciousness. Thus consciousness alone is real and all else is mere mirage, which appears as waking or dream[duality] and disappears as deep sleep[non-duality].

    • Mogan Raja Thangavelu I believe everyone now and then will try to adopt to this quote.. But, sometime there will be something else confuse us and make a doubt on our believe on this quote.. So.. THE BEST IS we need to surrender to HIM 101%...NO ROOM FOR DOUBT THOUGHTS

      April 9 at 10:03pm ·

    • Satish Kumar Efraín RiveraSurrender is like a tool similar to selfless service, Yoga, Meditation and other techniques... At "What is" nothing is left to surrender...
      April 9 at 11:07pm ·

    • Santthosh Kumaar Ramana is the inner most self. By realizing the self is not form[physical existence] but self is formless[soul or consciousness] the surrender happens on its own.

      April 12 at 12:18am · · 1 person

    • Santthosh Kumaar
Clinging to the word 'I or 'I AM' is cause of ignorance. 'I' or 'I AM' exist only in waking or dream and they disappear in deep sleep. thus the 'I' or I AM' is impermanent. the permanent is the one which witnesses the coming and going of the 'I' or I AM,which is formless Ramana or inner most self. thus the words are part of the impermanence thus seeker has to mentally grasp the self without identifying with the words.
