One can think no sooner, he wakes up he starts thinking, and his thinking continues until he goes to sleep.

As a person, one can think only when he is awake.  One can think no sooner, he wakes up he starts thinking, and his thinking continues until he goes to sleep.  This clearly means that he is able to think only in waking experience.  In other words, the waking/dream is absent in deep sleep.  Thus, man and his world exist only in waking/dream otherwise they cease to exist.  The waking or dream reappears after the sleep is over.

Soul or Self   has the three states, but soul/ Self is not an entity of the within the waking/dream.  Soul or Self has the duality but it is not the duality, because the duality appears and disappears without being prompted.  Soul/Self is apart from the three states but it is within the three states as their formless substance.    Man and the world exist within the waking experience.  The witness of the three states is apart because it is aware of all the facts of the three states.

If body is not self then, what is self? In fact, the self is the Soul.  Soul is formless pervades all the three states as their substance and witness.   Soul is everything and all the things. Soul is un- limited by any definition. Moreover, soul cannot be described in words because words themselves are derived from the soul.

Everything is derived and begotten of soul; that is waking /dream, which contains   body organs, power of mind, power of thinking, power of speaking, power of inhaling, power of hearing, power of moving and everything in the universe.  Everything in the universe is created out of soul.

Ornaments Like earrings, necklaces, bangles, etc. are the different names and shapes, but ultimately, everything is gold.  The waking/dream emerges out of soul and again is dissolved as the soul.   Like trillions of tides are created from the ocean and ultimately become one with the ocean or merge in the ocean, three states are created out of soul and merge in the soul.

Therefore, the Gnanis say the true God is the soul.  God-Self-Soul-Atman-Brahma are one and the same things, not at all different.  Seeker of truth has to think deeply to assimilate the self-knowledge.
