Rituals are not the means

Rituals are not the means

Ritual is good for religious oriented life. However, it is not the means to acquire nondual wisdom. The physical conduct is the greatest obstacle because one accepts the body as self and world as reality.

Inquiry and reasoning revels the fact that neither the body, nor the 'I' is the true self. Therefore, without knowing the true self, the rituals practiced on the false physical identity, will never get the wisdom.

When Buddha rejected the religion and concept of god and scriptures, it means that he got the truth beyond religion, concept of god and religion. Therefore, worshiping Buddha's idol is only good for the
mass that are immersed and busy in worldly life, and has no time to verify their inherited belief.

Worshiping Buddha's idol creates doubt in mind; when Buddha rejected the concept of god, he did not worship his statue to get enlightenment, and then it becomes necessary to verify and know, with what and how Buddha got enlightenment.

When Buddha speaks of emptiness, it is necessary to think, what it signifies, and we have to focus our attention on finding and realizing the emptiness [SPIRIT], which is called Buddha's nature.

Even the Vedas mother of all scriptures Say: Dehum-Nahum- Kohum--SOHUM- -spiritually it means body is not the self --- self is not the body.

Thus, when the self is not the body why to seek truth or worship and indulge in physical conduct to acquire the truth. Thus it is necessary to verify our true identity, and rectify our seeking base, if one is
seeking truth nothing but truth.

Therefore, the rituals are required for the mass, to remember there is higher power, and manipulate their worldly life. But rituals are not the means for truth [self] realization.
