Whatever activities one is now involved are happenings within the waking experience. Waking experience is the state of ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality as reality. Until one makes sure of the fact that neither the physical body, not the `I' is the true self it is impossible to overcome the experience of duality[waking] , which one is experiencing as reality.
From that moment one started thinking as person he started gathering knowledge on the false base and on that his present mind set is created. Seekers should not indulge only in accumulation of knowledge, they have to verify the facts what is said in F.S messages. Only when one get established in the Atman base he can what is truth and what is untruth. That is the only way.
Atman,which is in the form of consciousness pervades the whole waking experience as its formless substance, it is impossible to recognize Atman as entity or identity within the Waking or dream, because Atman is not an entity or identity within the waking or dream. However, Atman is formless substance and witness of the Waking and dream. Therefore it is very much necessary to trace the formless witness of the dream to realize the fact that the same formless witness witnessed the Waking experience also.
For this seeker has to make sure he and his experience of the world are within the waking or dream, therefore the witness has to be apart from the dream and waking. The real witness is the one, which witnesses the waking or dream as an object.
