Without the witness, the three states cease to exist

Without the witness, the three states cease to exist. Without being aware of the formless witness, there is no chance of getting self-realization. The three states are dependent on the formless witness, whereas the formless witness exists with or without the three states. Therefore, the three states are not the experience of the waking entity but of the soul, which is the formless witness of all the three states.

Viewing and judging the three states are  as an individual experience is erroneous. Man and his world co-exist within the waking or dream. Without the world, man cannot exist. Man and world appear together and disappear together in waking or dream. Therefore by concluding  the truth on the base of the waking entity(ego)  will lead to speculative hallucination. Therefore, there is a need for deeper understanding to assimilate the self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Just as the dream was witnessed without the physical appartus, so also the same formless witness witnesses the waking. The man and his experience of the world are within the waking or dream. Therefore, the waking or dream entities cannot be the witness of the waking or dream. The dream is parallel waking experience and waking experience is parallel dream.

The seeker has to mentally reflect on the formless witness constantly, till  he  gets the firm conviction that, the formless soul is the  witness of the three states. The soul is the innermost  self.  The mind(’I’)  rises as universe and universe appears as  waking or dream(duality)  and disappers as deep sleep(nonduality). that is the mind rises from the soul  and  subsides and becomes on with the soul . When the mind becomes one with the soul, then there is no duality. When there is no duality then it is non-dual reality.

Until and unless the seeker realizes the fact that,  the formless witness of the three states is not the waking entity  but the soul, he  remains in ignorance and experiences the duality as reality. Only when he is able to grasp the fact that, self is   the soul, then he  will be able to realize the three states are unreal. Therefore, the soul alone prevails as eternal identity, whenthe seeker realzes the soul, which is present in the form of conciousness is ultimate truth or Brahman.

One has to test truth in this world not in the next world.  There is no proof other than blind belief based on the scriptures, belief is not truth.  So, doctrines are not the means to realize the ultimate truth. There is no need to follow them.

Sage Sri, Gaudapada says: - the merciful Veda teaches karma and upasana to people of lower and middling intellect, while jnana is taught to those of higher intellect.

So they clearly indicate rituals and theories are not meant for those who are searching for the higher knowledge or wisdom.   The path of wisdom is the only means.

All the orthodox Advaitins indulge and immersed themselves in ritualistic oriented life style and follow the path of karma and upasana which is meant for lower and middling intellect   and not for realizing the Advaitic truth.

Many chose these orthodox scholars as their gurus. But these gurus are good to learn the conceptual Advaita meant for those orthodox who believe their conduct oriented life style leads to Moksha [liberation].  But religious based Advaita is not   the means to acquire self –knowledge or non-dualistic or Advaitic wisdom.  Those who are seeking truth have to do their own homework in order to acquire self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
